I use a spray but growing up we used a sponge with soapy water.
Sprays were never used when I was younger, it was a cloth and soap I think the only spray we had was furniture polish but I do remember the big tins of furniture wax before the sprays. 💐
Hey Ashley, I love your video! I actually did a big load of laundry. Now I have to put my own clothes away in my dresser whenever I clean my bedroom either tomorrow or the Sunday before Christmas day. I love getting motivation from your videos to do what I need to do during the day! I love seeing before & after shots all the time!
I don’t know if you’ve ever heard of Buff city soap, but I LOVE their laundry soap!! It cleans and smells amazing! It doesn’t have a ton of chemicals. I believe it’s only 4 ingredients! I would definitely give it a try!
I only use a hot soapy cloth on the counter tops.
I have asthma, and too many sprays are over the top scented.
And who needs more indoor air pollution!
Life isn't perfect. People need to slow down and enjoy it..alot less stress on you young Mother's.

Hi Ashley, looking back growing up, my mum just used hot water and a cloth to wipe the counter tops down. I don’t think sprays were a big thing then.
Now I have my own home and children, I use spray and also some antibacterial wipes.
Gift wise, I feel I am a good gift giver, I like to personalise gifts and see people’s reaction when they open it.

My mom always used a wet rag on the counters. I use a multipurpose spray and periodically disinfect and sanitize.
Ashley, my parents used a dish rag and water to wipe down the counter tops and placemats after dinner.
Your son's are adorable, making you a card and they are doing their own laundry! I didn't start doing laundry ( and ironing) till I was ten years old.

In my household with my mom we used bleach and dish soap to wash the kitchen up
I remember my parents taking dawn soap and drizzling it on their counter tops. They didn't start spraying (also with 409) until probably my early teens. I've always sprayed mine. I also started with 409 and now I'm using JAWS cleaners!
Are ya all moving because of a job transfer?
After I wash my iron skillets, I turn the stove on and place them on a burner to dry them. Then a drop of oil and a rub , no rust ever.
My parents never used spray only water from the tap and a cloth up until 4 years ago I did the same as my parents now I use either lysol, method or microban sprays for cleaning counters sinks etc
I use simply Tide Laundry Detergent

I use ecos brand laundry detergent. White vinegar for fabric softener. And for my “scent booster” I use essential oils in epsom salt and put a little in the wash. Also, 1 drop of essential oil on dryer balls.

I use the Purex in the green bottle it natural and smell really good. Me and my son can not use the regular detergents. It break us out.
I use this for years and have had no problems!
And it a decent price.

Hi Ashley! Oh the laundry after a trip 😅 yes, I grew up with no spray on the counters. Just a wet sponge. I don’t use any spray on my kitchen counters to this day …just a sponge with dish soap 😂I guess I never jumped on the all purpose spray bandwagon. My bathroom counters and toilets are soft scrub with bleach and wood furniture is just a microfiber cloth with the occasional pledge.

This was so motivating and so relaxing to watch!! Definitely needed it after a busy friday. My oldest daughter and with her friend were baking muffkns for their holiday bake sale at school. I also use a soapy sponge for my counter tops,then go over them with my all perpose spray that smells like oranges 😊
Oh your baby puppy is so adorable
I used arm and hammer hypoallergenic scent free detergent for years. I switched to gain when the clothes were not coming clean and were left with spots. I use gain pods with a down scent bead pod in every load. Clothes are nice and clean and smell nice.

Hi Ashley, I'm watching this a little late sunder I've been so sick and now RSV. Growing up, we did dishes by hand and used the dish rag with hot, soapy water... no sprays but I do use them now❤

I’m the same with gift giving. It’s very stressful and overwhelming. I started earlier this year and did online. It wasn’t as stressful shopping online.
Yess!! So stressful 🫠 that’s so good!! Glad you were able to get it done online!! I tried to do most of mine then realized I didn’t have an even amount of gifts so had to do last min in store shopping 😵💫

I also want snow for Christmas this year. I live up North and this is the first time in a really long time we are not going to have snow for Christmas. One year we had snow before Halloween so it’s definitely been really weird and doesn’t feel completely like Christmas.
Hi from Australia, I use e cloths now. Those sprays are all good at marketing! E cloth for kitchen, bathrooms, stainless steel, glass, floor mops…..then burn essential oils for smell.
Hi Ashley have you tried making your own laundry detergent ? It's very easy and so much cheaper, I made my own when my son had a dirty job, I don't make it now as I'm on my own, he has his own home and does his own laundry . 😁 look it up on UA-cam.. 🤶⛄🎅

On cleaning day I make a bucket of pine sol and water and clean all the things. Walls, doors cabinets etc I never use a spray unless I clean the bathroom. Happy Holidays!

My mom would clean countertops and the kitchen table with soap and water on a sponge. Deep cleaning on the countertops was soft scrub. I use a Norwex cloth with just water most of the time. I will use Windex Antibacterial on appliance fronts and countertops if I cook with chicken or something like that.

In case you didn't know and still love pinesol, if you order the original recipe off the website it's natural. They only sell it on the website in bulk. It's my only cleaner. I use it for everything.

When Christmas shopping , I just listened for idea and I just get it, For example if my niece says I want cash , And that’s my idea so I don’t have to shop, and so when Christmas comes that what she gets
There is method brand natural detergent. They also have eco max I love that one. I used lavender. They also have attitude brand and seventh generation. That the next one I’m going to try heard it’s amazing
Ashley you need to try the lavender gain washing powders it’s not that strong but it works great

I use the Doterra On Guard detergent and love it! My husbands clothes are always greasy/gross from work and it’s always worked great :)
I wash my clothes with earth breeze all natural laundry sheets and they don’t leave spots. They are eco friendly and detergent free
Try 9 Elements Laundry detergent! I've been using it for a few months now and I love it. It has a really nice scent (I use the Citrus Scent one) and it has the extra cleaning power of vinegar! I haven't noticed any grease spots on my clothes either. 😊
I thought about using that at times but with it being expensive, It doesn't make things easy. I usually still need stronger stuff to deal with stains
I think the more natural laundry soaps are much more concentrated and have less water than traditional. Maybe try adding less cleaner to see if it helps with the grease spots.
I’ve always like Thieves laundry cleaner from young living as another alternative.

My Grandma, Mom,sister and I always would use a soapy wet cloth and a little bleach to wipe down kitchen surfaces. Now ,I use just a little soapy water with a damp cloth🙋🏻♀️

I make my own laundry soap. 2 cups borax 2 cups washing soda and a bar of zote it's 1.62 at heb and walmart. You will grate that bar and add to other 2. And mix and u just need a little in every load. I spend less than 15 a month on laundry soap.... another great video! Merry Christmas Ashley and family

My mom would just use a damp cloth to wipe the counter. I use a spray .since covid has been a priority we all have changed our way of cleaning as we disinfect our surface and I even spray my door knows etc I do have to be careful about what type of cleaners as I have 2 parakeets. I'm going to guess your big announcement ok it's one of 2 things you're having another baby or you're buying a new home
I have thought about the same thing about using spray cleaners too! My mom never used spray cleaner, just a wet cloth. I feel like the spray helps clean more than just a rag but who knows!?

I forgot to tell I have been using cast iron skillets for years!! After you was them make sure you dry them good or either dry them on your stove for a few seconds until all water has evaporated. I also put a little canola oil or you can use some olive oil with paper towel wipe around the bottom of the inside of skillet. That will keep it also from rusting!!🥰

A lot of people swear by the Young Living laundry detergent. I’ve never used it myself though.

We had a great Christmas and New Year I’m glad you did too yes I’m late watching your video it has been busy this weekend I have to take the decorations down ☹️so sad to see them come down but ready for everything to be cleaned and put away.
I grew up in England we had very small kitchens so just soap and water to clean the counter our dish soap was called Fairy it’s the same thing as Dawn, the oven was a oven cleaner in a liquid that you would put In a heated oven a lot like easy off leave it on then clean your oven. Ajax like bar keepers friends for the cooktop and Brillo pads scrubbed gently not to hurt that ceramic. my Mum was house proud so it was kept very clean bless her.
I wash soap and water like dawn first then I go over it with a spray cleaner when I’m doing the dishes.

Ashley girl try arm & hammer hypoallergenic detergent or All free and clear you could also try Ariel but that might be too strong they have it in liquid form

Also the tide free and clear is really good. But the all is too. Now just a quick hack. that you can try that I do to keep the spots and stuff from going on to your clothes. Get you two of the brand new microfiber rays Throw them in with your wash. And whatever is popping out on your laundry will collect on that microfiber rag. That's what I do also if you have a lot of lent it will attract to the microfiber rag and not on your clothes. It's worth a try. It works for me and I use Gain But remember the microfiber rags need to be new.

Hey Friend, Happy Friday. Was he able to find his luggage because I would be upset if the airplane lost mine and there were important stuff in there especially my clothes. That was sweet of your husband to pack his co worker a bag with some of his clothes in it. That’s great that your kids are doing a good job with doing their own laundry and that they learned it at a young age. ❤ My mom just used a wet washcloth to clean the countertops and her stove when I was growing up. She used spray for her dining room table. My husband doesn’t buy himself new clothes either, if he gets them it’s from me buying him them. He just isn’t the type to want to waste money on clothes for himself so I get them for him on holidays or if he needs them really bad I will just go ahead and buy them for him. I can get people good gifts depending on how well I know them and know what they like/want but if they’re extremely picky to buy for I need them to be direct with me.
Ashley I use to have grease spots on my clothing as well and it was so frustrating! Come to find out it was my washing machine! I got a new one and my family were so glad so was I! You might need it serviced. Just a thought. Good luck to you! Merry Christmas 🎄🎁
