My Dad went to Tech back in '59-61 and I love the Jackets, but USC has got the "flair"! They are just a fun band to watch. It'll be quite the day when Arthur retires, and I think that's this year as I recall. He's been with them I think almost 50 years. He will be missed....
I initially was watching videos on UA-cam about the Spirit of Troy because I was going through a lot of issues because of the COVID-19 work culture dynamic which made me reexamine what I wanted to do professionally moving forward. The coincidence of my watching a commencement 🎓 video 📹 got me seriously thinking about the curriculum offerings at the USC Marshall School of Business in its graduate 🎓 programs. I was a logistician in the US Air Force which gives me a unique understanding of how 🤔 supply chains operate on a fundamental level. So, the decision to go to school 🏫 at USC Marshall School of Business was a "nobrainer" to me!
If I was going to university to study band, or dancing, I'd definitely choose USC. USC is definitely a national leader in band and dancing. Band and dancing are a big affiliation for USC alumni. You hire a USC alum and you know what you're getting.
Seriously, USC is fantastic in band and dancing. But I picked my university based on its reputation in science and the professions, not football or dancing or anything else unrelated.
Hey, that's what you get with parental bribes. Some hot chick isn't going to go to a podunk school when she can show off her bod at USC. No disrespect meant to Georgia Tech, a fine school but come on, the cheerleader routines from GT are pretty tame.
Captain 1985 To be fair, USC is in LA, and their band is super high-visibility, which would draw some of the best. A lot of these kids - song girls and band members alike - are at USC because they want to be seen.
Having been in bands and Drum & Bugle Corps….GT Band is ok, but USC’s band is far superior! (I don’t like USC football). But you have to give credit to USC Band and “Song girls!” They came prepared and won this!
Georgia tech is a fine band. This is the biggest blowout/ mismatch in any competition ever. Sports, war or whatever.USC girls are just better in everyway and the music is great

Nope. Apples and Oranges for what we saw - can't comment on the bands. Song Girls vs. Cheer Leaders - completely different - and both were really good at what they did. .
Georgia Tech looks like a high school marching band with ribbons on their hair and USC looks like a University Marching Band with barbies!

I mean... anybody who battles USC’s band in anything *except* precision marching is gonna lose. Sound-wise and for just overall fun they are the top.
As a dancer, this is the first time I’ve ever liked a cheerleaders performance better than dancers. Nothing beats precision
