Thank you for sharing, I wondered how to get everything apart . I clean the regular coffee pot with vinegar but instead of dumping the hot vinegar in the kitchen sink I was told to dump it in sinks and shower drains because it will clean off soap, shampoo and toothpaste that might assist in clogging up the drain
Thank you for this video! You really helped me! All the other videos were the other style of keurig 2.0... But mine was this style! And I didn’t even know that these pieces come out! So thanks so much! It’s so greatly appreciated! 🙏😁
I didn't really need to know how to clean, but I was looking at parts for my Mom's unit, where the needle on the cup holder broke on this unit. Your tear down helped me get a good idea of what I was looking for, thank you.
Buy a reusable K-cup. It is a 3 piece unit that allows one to brew their own coffee. However, it can be used “empty”, with no ground coffee. In doing this, there are more brewing options that allow more volume to be run through the machine during cleaning, as the machine “thinks” it is brewing with a coffee pod. Just use a large pot under the dispenser to contain the volume of liquid.
There is actually a cleaner available for the needle, mine is orange and super easy to use. I use my eight cup liquid measuring cup to dispense the liquid. For even better tasting stuff make sure you get the filter tube,it attaches inside the water tank, the carbon filters are available on Amazon I bought 12 so I’m set for awhile. I’ve had my 2.0 since 2016. 🙂
From my understanding, you wanna use a 50/50 mix of water & vinegar because straight vinegar can ruin the machine. I use 50/50 then dispense hot water till it says “needs more water”.....then I let it set for an hour or 2 to get into crevices inside. Then I rinse with straight water for 2 more cycles & it comes out so clean it makes my coffee taste noticeably fresher
Oh....and THANK YOU for doing this video. It was nice to see ideas from someone who pays attention to the little details that most people completely miss or ignore. It is appreciated
@@melissa7705 lol the internet is loaded with info, and its a blessing and a curse too. i've read and actually done several times, to use straight vinegar, and run a whole gallon of vinegar through it. then cycle/rinse with with a gallon of water afterward. its a bit time consuming but is effective to clean out all the mold spores that might be hiding. so far, the vinegar has not done any damage that i have noticed and ive done this 3 or 4 times.
Very important to clean the needles too....that’s where the problems can start if they get clogged! I use a bent paper clip to get up on the sides of the needles to loosen any debris that’s collected. If you don’t clean these out, eventually you’ll end up with a cup full of grinds!
And I used a little fantasik brand cleaner bc I had no vinegar and my coffee taste so good now, and I also change the little gray filter in the back of the tank
I just got one from a friend and this helped so much! Did you have a filter in your tank when you got it? I took mine out after watching this but I wasn’t sure if it would effect the coffee at all.
Lord thank you because i didn't even know that i could take the spot the pod sits in could come out. Been using it for year. And it was so gross when i took it out.
I am very distracted by your vintage Percolator, can you do a demo on that one? When the handle is open on the Keurig, it reminds me of the Hungry Hungry Hippo
@@barbaramoore5070THANKS FOR MENTIONING THIS! DO YOU HAVE A PICTURE OR UA-cam VIDEO WHERE WE CAN SEE WHERE THE WATER FILTER IS ON THESE… I CANT FIND WHERE IT IS EXACTLY…PLEASE HELP!

Parts are available either thru Amazon or the Keurig website. Don’t forget to get the water filter tube too if you have the 2.0 model.🙂

Awesome!! I have this model as well and not the other. Happy stumbling upon it. I can now clean it at ease. Thank you 😁

Didn’t know I could take mine apart thanks for this! I found a damn ring in mine after moving 😂😂😂😂

I found a metal ring inside mine too when I moved it around. Does anyone know what it is or where it goes? Looks like a mens wedding rjng????
I just got one I love it I was a little worried I smelled possibly slight mold / mildewy I used vinegar should it be ok ???

Where is the filter located?
@lenae1012 THATS WHAT I WANT TO KNOW! HAVE YOU FOUND THE WATER FILTER ON THIS MODEL YET?
Lord thank you because i didn't even know that i could take the spot the pod sits in could come out. Been using it for year. And it was so gross when i took it out.
Mine too! 😷🤢

Thank you! This is exactly what I was looking for!
Thank you for this video!!!! I followed all of the steps😃😃😃😃
Thank you, thank you showing and sharing. I was about to buy a new one.
I just got the exact same model does this one have a water filter that need to be changed?

what model is your keurig 2.0
Thank you so much! This is super helpful.
Thank you! And what great Goodwill finds!!
Thank you for sharing😍
Thank u for shareing love
Thank you so muchhh❤❤❤
Thank you for the details cleaning 😁
Thank you so much!
What about the old water inside? I can hear it in there. How do I get that out?
add more water and run it all through a few times....eventually the old water will be out and the new in!
You will burn out the heating element if you dont mix the vinegar with water as vinegar evaporates fast and intensifys the heat
thank u, u did a good job
thank you awesome video
WHERE IS THE WATER FILTER ON THESE?
I had to completely disassemble every piece of that and scrape lots of old coffee residue away.
I soaked all the parts in soapy hot water and it didn’t help at all lmao... the brew your own coffee pod is not a good thing for a keurig...
Good job
Thank you.
I have redone it pours low water I dont see a filter
It is steps 123 to take it out all
