I would argue the program is anything but boring - seeing your numbers go up and up is exciting - there's nothing better.

love to hear some about your personal story. Like what you guys are doing regarding strength, but in this episode you talked about you not being able to take a risk riding horses, how that effects you etc, be great to hear you talk about that stuff some more, and if strength training helps or helped you cope with those challenges . You also talked about doing "stupid shit" . Love to also hear more on your thoughts about why you felt those things were selfish...

The Prometheus comment may have sealed the deal on taking a starting strength seminar. One of my favorite movies in recent times.

Question: I'm 45 and after 2 months on the Starting Strength, I'm plateauing at 210 on bench press -and failing to add weight each workout. I'm eating enough and sleeping enough and my increments have been modest enough - is this normal? Should I up the volume, perhaps add a little assistance work, start periiodizing or just be patient?

I didn't like Prometheus; I loved it. My IQ must be in the single digits.

I want a strength training girlfriend to cuddle. I'm so lonely, but I have a cold, borderline schizoaffective personality that repels people who try to get close. I want to be tightly snuggled by a 315 deadlifter. Unfortunately, I'm 5'8, which is shorter than 90% of the planet, and I only pull 390, which will cause any potential suitors to laugh in my face when their powerlifting suitors pull 585 off a deficit, on top of also not being an autistic wreck. I drove a HYUNDAI to get here, for chrissakes. I won't pick up any chicks in this shitbox. I won't pick up 405 anytime soon either. My cock is dry. My lifts, weak. I got bullied all throughout my school years. My only solaces in life are the ass pump I get from squatting 10x3 @ 75% @ RPE 8 and microwave dinners I pick up at Kroger afterwards, which I then eat while watching reruns of Spongebob dubbed in Spanish in my apartment. I'm WEAK. Girlfriends, a LIFE? That's for closers. Because to give them to someone like me, would just be throwing them away.....

Listen to these con-men trying to make strength training effective, scalable, and generalized to the world at large.. Tangible, quantifyable value makes me want to puke.
