Well explained. The defects in the investigation are not just lapses - they are examples of criminal negligence. These people who claim there was no rape should be prosecuted and sentenced to rigorous imprisonment.
As for the rapists no punishment is terrible enough for them. Castration followed by burning alive should be the punishment norm for such criminals.
We heard movies based on true stories but for the first ..a movie's stories turned true💔...and it's heartbreaking and what saddened me the most tht....We the people of india chosen such govt who strike to play "Rapes vs Rapes" instead of taking action ...but anyways "Sanu ki" attitude of some people r never going to change...whoever reading this...please share this video and imagine if this would've happened with your sister or friend....Horrible

What does people expect no one give justice because the whole system is more corrupt.top to bottom haramkhor is available.
While these so called debates are focusing on hindu muslim etc.. this the face of our country. This has seriously brought a lot of shame to our country. We have highest unemployment in the past two decades, GDP is going down the drain, and we are just coming on tv making big promises, most of them are false and not doing any press conference where the real qustions can be raised.. we are spending time on blame game... Wtf. Why didn't the hospital conduct a proper MLE? That's crazy. In my college hospital my seniors would force me to ask if 'anything else' happened like a million times as if forcing me to coax them to say assault during MLCs with female examinees. It embarrassed me honestly and made me feel I was inconveniencing the patient. But I am happy they did it because apparently as this case shows this can be missed.
I wonder why the family or the girl didn't allegedly narrate the rape incident to the doctor when she clearly does so with the journalist.

Its disgusting to see how police force are being negligible about basic duties like sealing crime place. I don't know how are they trained and why there is no strict action against this. Police in today's India are capable of only beating and threatening people. Also when evidence where not handled properly in sushant case the whole godi media went crazy and now a rape victim is telling that she was harassed they want investigation in this matter. Journalism and police both need to be revived and rebuild .
This incident will soon be forgotten. They will win. Sad.

Newslaundry has done a wonderful job. HATS OFF to Newslaundry. These are not the lapses but failures of a failed state. Why do we have so many cases coming again and again from UP (specially from UP and against SC's) and rest of our country? I was robbed in Noida at 5 PM in 2008 police didn't even register the FIR and said thank to your stars that your are not dead and I was turned away having lost my car,money and even cloths. Yes I shifted from Delhi to southern part of India where things are little better. Imagine the plight of SC girls in UP under BJP, SP, Congress, BSP etc etc all are pathetic parties and these parties are like Locusts on our agricultural land. Shame !!!

Justice should be done to Asha . It's unimaginable the horrors this little girl must have gone through . The culprits should be given the most severe punishment ever be it Sandeep the boyfriend or be it Sandeep the brother . ( Some lapses I also want to add - when you find your family member in almost a dead situation your first reaction is to take them to hospital and not to police station to file a complaint , second the girl was with her mother in the fileds when she got dragged and the mother said she did not hear her voice because she had cotton buds in her ears , third more than 100 calls between the victim and the accused tells some other story , fourth the victim's family never agreed for narco test citing we are the victims why should we get our narco done ) ... girls are always the victims be it gangrapes or honour killing . Find the truth and get the justice delivered . I know 99% people will get triggered reading my comment but I had to write what I felt coz truth has to come out even if everyone is against it .

This might also explain the 'decline' in rape cases in UP from past few years. Police are not recording the complaints or finding loop holes not to.

There's gross insensitivity towards getting the victim examined in time and timely deposition of samples to FSL which leads to sample destruction
When we are called for expert opinion honorable judge never asks about the result directly only PP gets the inference recorded
No one takes into notice the sample decay delay in sample deposit
Keep it up..... atleast media is alive somewhere....
