I am wearing this shirt right now, I am not allowed to wear an outer carrier during certain days of work. I wear this under the uniform for work and it is very low key. Great armor at an affordable price.
What people don’t get is that even when soft armor stops a bullet, you’re still going to have broken bones, internal bleeding/organ damage, and severe burns from the fabric shifting on your skin at such a high rate of speed. I wouldn’t want to get shot wearing that. Wear normal soft armor with a normal soft trauma plate up front. Cops do it for a reason. The addition of a soft trauma plate over your soft armor is done for this specifically. Look up Jarod Reston if you have doubts.
I was at a gun show in Ft Worth last month and came across a booth with armor trama padding. Its worn behind the soft armor or hard plates. It was designed to capture the impact or back plate deformation. It came as shoulder pads for heavy kicking rifles and shotguns, front and back pads. I don't recal the name of the product. I'll look for it the next time Im at that gun show. That 9mm looks like it would have caused a fractured sternum or broken ribs. Like you said, survivable, but a bad day. Probably would have taken a person out of the fight for several days to a few week.
I'm Retired Army and to me it says "if this is a Bad Guy Aim for the Face or Groin " I am also interested in the Concealable Armor . A few years back a company made Kevlar Baseball Caps for this type Application but I never see them advertised any more.
I like it but I don't think I would go tshirt over it. Maybe a baggy cooling fishing shirt or hoodie on cooler days. I don't like projecting.. I will say, that 9mm must of been moving. You would of felt that.
Ruin your day? Be just fine? I don't know buddy.. Might not go through and rip you to shreds.Bat , a certain level , blunt force trauma is just as deadly. That shot gun blast at that range would definitely doing more than just ruin your day. You Might live. Definitely a higher survivability rate with the body armor then without... But that range with a Shotgun, rifle slug, on soft body armour.... If you survive it might affect your walk and or functionality for the rest of your days
My friend you really need a new mic. The audio clipping is bad and constant. Or at least do some basic audio editing to tame it some. idk what kind of camera you use but basically anything will sound better. $50-100 and you channel is going to sound a lot more professional. 👍
