We just finished a 3x3 tunnel to the End Portal, approximately 2500 blocks away from base, straight lines only and through / over anything that gets in our way. The part at 9:00 - I love doing t his. I love making songs. I actually use noteblock studio to turn songs I like to schematics and paste it into mcedit and then I copy the schematic with a mod like litematica and on survival I'll build my own tune from it. It's so rewarding once you finish the song. OR you can do a quick jingle like King of the Hill intro song, everybody knows that lol or spongebob squarepants songs. I used to be in a server in a survival mode where somebody's shop was the spongebob theme and every time you stepped in the shop it played. That really inspired me to build songs using noteblocks in survival. I've done a few tunes :)
Another cool thing about the mooshroom island is that if you bring in a bunch of grass blocks and terraform it, it becomes a very lovely shade of bright green.
Thanks for these ideas! I had been about a year into my survival world and I just couldn't think of anything to do but this video gave me TONS of ideas so thank you!!!!!!!
I know what to do when you're bored, just make a gigantic structure and place a bunch if insane challenging mobs, after all you gotta do is go through the structure, solve puzzles fight mobs, or just survive traps, I think a warden in a spooky mansion with candles and the dimming effect would be amazing, think about it.
I have(and plan to do again) deconstructed a mushroom biome, which results in you being able to have an entirely customizable area that no monsters can spawn in.
My mushroom island is nice and big, only problem is that it has a tiny lake/ocean biome near the middle of it, where mobs spawn. Also, right near that biome underground is a spider dungeon, as well as a mineshaft. Which means I'm probably going to have to dig it all up.
I made Nether biomes in the overworld, specifically a Crimson forest and a warped forest. Had goats wandering around, quite amusing.Worth it to be able to get nylium without risking your life.
For people looking for ideas (Vanilla Playthrough) I recommend building a giant mine cart system through the the new caves for 1.18.1 I am currently doing that so I can send back useful things to my base with out having to return to base. It’s also useful so you don’t get lost and you can build various stops along the way. I personally think 1.18 caves have finally given us the opportunity to build beautiful Minecart systems. What my goal is to build to the far lands/world border with the minecart. If I actually keep up and don’t get lazy I actually might make my first steam/video showing it off. This is a huge task ahead of me. Yeah so that’s a thing to do if you are board.
8:59 I remade "Super Idol" using noteblocks in minecraft, made a video playing it, and posted it on youtube, and it was my first video to get a lot of views I think this is a good idea

I took on a massive scale build project and chose a deisng that is far out of where my normal builds are. I've been trying to stick to building it 1 section at a time so 1 day I finish section say D and then stop to avoid getting burnt out. I've finished at least half of what will be the entrance to the build. As my pc has been down a few days and I finally got it back up and back into what I was doing trying to remember how I was building is a little annoying. The change to mob spawning with light levels has given me a lot of room to adjust how I set up my lights which is really nice.

Here's an idea: cover a 50x50 area around a pillager outpost with a dome, and replace the floor with sand/sandstone. Add a stadium and you have a giant coliseum where you can infinitely fight and kill pillagers. Another idea: surround a pillager outpost with a giant walled-off circle outline village, and snipe off pillagers forever. pillager idea 3: Build a castle in/around a pillager outpost, blow parts of it up, place coarse dirt etc on the ground, and put banners in many places. Now you have a ruined castle that is infested with pillagers
I'm sorry did I just witness auschwitz get built on a video for when I'm bored on minecraft..... Not saying I'm not gonna build it, but it was uncalled for.
I have been thinking this for a long while but I honestly think the Mooshroom island has a very high possibility to be the place where the deep dark city's will be, it's already a place where mobs don't spawn, it's fairly rare to find and it's unique just like the deep dark, what is a better place for the deep dark? The coolest thing I've done is a noteblock rendition of the FFVII victory chime that plays whenever you load the chunk. I put it under the spawn so new players get a bit of a greeting(I play solo though...) or an ironic chime to taunt me if i died without a spawnpoint.
It works because an observer watching an item frame with an item in it gets activated whenever chunks load.
toycot is going to get cancelled for that joke but i loved it
Keep featuring the editor and their brother!!! Loved the background footage, fresh from the Toycat we all know and love but still very enjoyable nonetheless
It doesn’t bother me that much I just really, really didn’t think that you’d build that villager holocaust thingy... It was just so out of blue. Wow
I love how he says he is keeping the villagers safe
a nice holiday camp
@@APufferfish for merchants with big noses.
Ok but the villager 'death camp' thing was kinda poor taste
Extremely
I didn't say this last time but I love the editor's work! It has a lot of time and effort and made with fun like last time there was even a smooth transition last time he edited, last time I didn't even know ibxtoycat had an editor because the edits are so simple
Also one thing I like to do when I'm bored (I know it isn't actually *in* minecraft but it kind of is) is making a skin for yourself, its really fun and its cool to show off to people when its done :)
and bedrock allows for transparency, which means you can make much cooler skins. And yeah, there IS the character creator, so there's a solid number of options depending on how much effort someone wants to commit into it.
The highest effort to put in would be to create a JSON skin pack that allows for custom 3d models(4d/5d skins is the term, i think). Waaaaay to much effort though.
exactly!!!
Toycat is a menace. Looks like he likes his villages 1938 Germany stile
Suspicious stew can also be made by making mushroom stew and adding a flower to the recipe and you do not need a brown mooshroom to get Suspicious stew however it is cheeper
I like how whenever toycat references c*mmunism, you think he’s going to make a cringe bread post, but then he subverts it. It’s funny.
When i optimised my village i found it really useful to have a tall watch tower so i could get a birds eye view of the layout and make sure no mobs where getting in.
Toycat has the balls to make a consecration camp reference and went beyond and made a gas chamber
It’s not his build.
the background footage is so high quality this time! i applaud whoever the person doing all the projects is
There are 2 of them
wow, an actual high production toycat video
Ouch but also thanks
Uhm... as someone planning to convert to Judaism, the visuals for 12 were... *uncomfortable,* even as a joke. I spent the whole video worried there'd be a repeat.
EDIT: As far as opinions on this, I'd recommend *not* working with the person who included... that in the video. Like, ever again. Maybe banish them into the wilderness, even. And follow this up with a video designed specifically to piss off the Nazis as soon as possible because they'll be coming out of the woodwork after that. You basically put a "Nazis Welcome" sign up on the channel, whether you meant to or not.
The thing that concerns me is that I am seeing just about as many people say they "laughed so hard" at that as are pointing out that it isn't funny. 🤦
@@misspat7555 Yeah, nothing like making them feel welcome to bring the Nazis out of the woodwork. And some of them probably just have bad taste in jokes. Maybe even most. (I can hope)
Had to unsub because of this. Extremely disturbing
@@benny1118 Same.
3:33 too stunned to speak, but the humour got me perfectly
toycat doesn't want you to know that he slaughters all the panda babies that don't come out brown.
~13:30, yaaaasss, queen! Props to production, great....mwah
I love the new, third-person format
Great editing!
Your editor did a great job at this video 🙂 & you did a great job at being toycat!!! TOYCAT IS YESS
14:21 Unironic trapdoor decoration on the channel about cats which are toys? Goodness me, I need some pearls to clutch. Gonna have to try some of these Buold ideas though.
Well done Samuel! Glad you're here!!!
I never get bored, but I've always got ideas. My goal is usually to make everything farmable, which I haven't done 100% in any world yet because I tend to play on realms that die after a while, so will make my own world soon
Realms are $10 a month right?
@@grumpynomad3551 I think so yeah, I'm getting a patreon for my followers (I write books, a few people read them) and realms seems the best bet, but I'm looking for alternatives because I might go back to Java. I like your youtube name, reminds me of my alt
*Toycat should definitely try to collect all types of Tropical Fish on his survival world !*
The holocaust reference is WILD
Cool and all but are we gonna ignore the consentration camp?
the panda edit made me smile, also cheers for the ideas!
For some reason, I am just so entertained by the idea of building a massive 20x20 death pit that goes to bedrock. It’s even better in multiplayer.
The lava into mountain idea is AWESOME!
I dont know if someone alr said this in a comment before but 2 things i really like to do when im bored in minecraft are collecting discs and getting all the achievements, even tho collecting discs may be a little too stressing bcuz its somewhat hard to make the skeleton hit the creeper, but still it kinda gives that feeling of freedom when you get the disc you wanted haha, and collecting the achievements just feels great too even tho you probably got more achievements accidentally then in purpose.
That lighthouse was awesome. I had made a basic one last week.
We just finished a 3x3 tunnel to the End Portal, approximately 2500 blocks away from base, straight lines only and through / over anything that gets in our way.
If we go over an area we use glass blocks...... so many glass blocks.
We are now a third of the way to an Ancient City in a new tunnel.
I also made a completely new village from nothing by rescuing zombie villagers, building them houses and setting them up for life.
Just lost one of our best traders sadly.
He help me to get the Star Trader trophy and fell to his death while I was trading.
RIP Melvyn.
Ibxtoycat at 3:30 : I said glass of juice not gas the Jews
Another cool thing about the mooshroom island is that if you bring in a bunch of grass blocks and terraform it, it becomes a very lovely shade of bright green.
love your attitude helps keep mean people away from me in middle school
Thanks for these ideas! I had been about a year into my survival world and I just couldn't think of anything to do but this video gave me TONS of ideas so thank you!!!!!!!
I know what to do when you're bored, just make a gigantic structure and place a bunch if insane challenging mobs, after all you gotta do is go through the structure, solve puzzles fight mobs, or just survive traps, I think a warden in a spooky mansion with candles and the dimming effect would be amazing, think about it.
Idea #6 on java: ah yes it's nice being able to see a whole 2 chunks around my base what a useful tower I've built here.
That race track was awesome
Also you can spawn like 100 withers and watch them slowly destroy the world
I have(and plan to do again) deconstructed a mushroom biome, which results in you being able to have an entirely customizable area that no monsters can spawn in.
Typed this out before I got to number 8
My mushroom island is nice and big, only problem is that it has a tiny lake/ocean biome near the middle of it, where mobs spawn. Also, right near that biome underground is a spider dungeon, as well as a mineshaft. Which means I'm probably going to have to dig it all up.
I’m currently working on a series of coffee shops inspired by all mobs in Minecraft. I’m super excited to work on it!!
I made Nether biomes in the overworld, specifically a Crimson forest and a warped forest. Had goats wandering around, quite amusing.Worth it to be able to get nylium without risking your life.
3:22 ibx toyhitler?
That ice track is absolutely magical. I want one.
I loved the editing and pace of this video, very engaging, I'd rate this 5 stars and favourite it
I utilized the Mushroom island by using some of the new Nether blocks. It looks fabulous :) ❤
For people looking for ideas (Vanilla Playthrough)
I recommend building a giant mine cart system through the the new caves for 1.18.1 I am currently doing that so I can send back useful things to my base with out having to return to base.
That history reference in the village part of the video though...
did a tour of the let's play world yesterday with some friends. was fun but needs a update. but the rainbow sheep part of the video was hilarious
8:59 I remade "Super Idol" using noteblocks in minecraft, made a video playing it, and posted it on youtube, and it was my first video to get a lot of views
I think this is a good idea
4:14 that’s Great Britain (Scotland, England and Wales) not the United Kingdom (Scotland, England and Wales and the Isles of man & Wight and Northern Ireland)
Edit: This is actually a good things to do when bored video very unique ideas. 👍
Bro built Auschwitz
I took on a massive scale build project and chose a deisng that is far out of where my normal builds are.
I've been trying to stick to building it 1 section at a time so 1 day I finish section say D and then stop to avoid getting burnt out.
I've finished at least half of what will be the entrance to the build.
As my pc has been down a few days and I finally got it back up and back into what I was doing trying to remember how I was building is a little annoying.
The change to mob spawning with light levels has given me a lot of room to adjust how I set up my lights which is really nice.
In 31 years alive and having played since I was old enough to, I’ve never heard him called “sanic the hedgehog” before
I already make prisons out of villages and preform experiments and I also already flatten out biomes because it's fun
SAMUEL THE MAN
I love how incomplete the UK map is
16. Complete the UK map in Minecraft
Yeah, and he left North Ireland on it
So no one's gonna talk about that death chamber ey 🤖🤖
ibxToycat needs to start a podcast or something. just *trys to think of words* I like to listen to him talk in the background while I draw and play MC.
Really intresting indeed your Printer was making music via a paper jam truely inspiring
I kinda don't want to be right about this because of how rare finding mooshroom islands is but why not it's the perfect place.
