      Yes! The 30L Travel Bag, Klettersack, and Mountain Pack are all contenders for my new travel bag. Just not sure if they're little too minimal. Haven't found any good videos showing how much you can pack in them. Love the Topo Designs aesthetic.

      Sounds great Anna! Those are all excellent contenders. We’re curious about the Travel Bag as well

    That bottom loop looks like a vintage ice axe loop...used with a strap in the pig snout.

      Nailed it Curt - thanks!

      Yeah it is an ice axe loop! Probably more for style than functioning this specific bag.

    Those tabs are handier than you think. The two on the back of the back at the top and bottom can be used to attach the daypack to the topo designs travel pack. Very handy.

    Love the content! Just for future reference those zips are #10 not #5 and technically the pack cloth used is nylon, I hope that didn’t come off rude. Love you guys!

      Glad you’re digging the content! We’ll verify the zipper later today when we get back to the bag pile :)

      We verified - it’s a YKK #10 RC 👍

    The loop on the bottom is for carrying An axe oe pickace. U slide it in, turn it up 180 degrees and make ot stay with the ‘pigsnout’ with a cord

    Hi guys can you review the Daypack Tech version?

  • @starshiplazyboy475
    @starshiplazyboy475 2 роки тому +1

    That longer loop near the bottom is for an ice axe or something similar. It works with the pig snout to secure the axe to the pack.

    You should really review the Topo Design Travel Pack. Coming in at 30L/ 40L versions, these are real quality bags with excellent features, materials & hardware at a more than reasonable price compared to what their competitors are charging!

    I ended up going with the Bellroy Classic 2nd edition backpack.
    Just overall better quality for a slightly lower price than this.
    Also more versatile since it's more minimal-looking....more appropriate to bring into work.

    I don't know why, but I definitely recall the straps being made of seat belts. I may be tuning of a different company.

    • @hemanofeternia9954
      @hemanofeternia9954 6 років тому

      User 01 they have some packs that do use Seat belt type webbing like the cosmo pack, but this daypack uses spacer mesh, great padding and ventilation but your screwed if you take it to the beach, sand gets stuck in there like crazy

    • @PackHacker
      @PackHacker  6 років тому

      Chrome uses a ton of seatbelts in their designs too

    Does anyone ever use the lash tab?

    • @knowyourhistory
      @knowyourhistory 6 років тому +1

      It's originally designed to carry axes. Anyone that uses this backpack in a city and carries an axe in there will be arrested probably.

    • @PackHacker
      @PackHacker  6 років тому +1

      Haha-KnowYourHistory has the design concept correct. We've used it a couple times with a carabiner attached but haven't found many other practical use-case scenarios. Let us know if you have any ideas!

    • @td7663
      @td7663 4 роки тому +1

      Z Mercado you’re paying for quality and made in America branding. This is triple what a jansport is because it’s made better and will last. Expect to get pricey when you buy something worth the money. And topo usually has discount codes
