  • WASN'T ABLE TO GET A LOT OF VIDEO ON THIS ONE, ANN STARTED THIS PROJECT WHILE I WAS AT WORK, I CAME HOME AND ALL THE OLD BRICK MOLD WAS REMOVED EXCEPT FOR ONE PIECE. I HELPED HER REMOVE IT, AND THE NEXT DAY SHE HAD IT INSTALLED, STORM DOOR PAINTED AND RE INSTALLED AND ALL I HAD TO DO WAS CUT A HOLE FOR THE NEW DOOR BELL. MAN, MY GIRL IS A POWER HOUSE!! WE CONTINUED WITH PUTTING IN NEW STAINLESS SCREWS, PAINTING, CAULKING, MEASURING FOR THE NEW GLASS INSERTS FOR THE DOOR, AND OF COURSE EVERYTHING HAD TO BE PAINTED BEFORE IT WENT IN. WOW, ENJOY THE VIDEO, ANY QUESTIONS JUST SUBSCRIBE AND LEAVE THEM HERE, I WILL GET BACK ASAP, THANKS, MICHAEL AND ANN
,DONT FORGET WHEN YOU DO CUT OUT THE RECTANGLE FOR THE WINDOW INSERTS USE A METABO (BRAND) OR SOME TYPE OF HIGH SPEED METAL CUTTING GRINDER, AND DONT CUT BOTH SIDES AT ONCE! YOUR ACCURACY WHILE HOLDING THE GRINDER IS NOT AS GOOD AS YOU MIGHT THINK. GOOD LUCK ON YOUR PROJECT, THANKS AGAIN,MIKE
P.S.ALL MY MUSIC IS ROYALTY FREE FROM OPUZZ.COM THANKS
FILMED THIS WITH MY OLD CANON D-10 SORRY. NOT AS GOOD A PICTURE AS MOST OF MY STUFF

BELIEVE IT OR NOT WE BOUGHT THEM AT LOWES, IN THE MILL WORK SECTION BY THE WINDOWS AND WE DID HAVE TO ORDER THEM, AND OF COURSE THEY WERE SHOCKED WE DIDN'T WANT THEM TO INSTALL THEM. YOU HAVE TO LAY OUT BOTH SIDES THEN CUT ONE SIDE AT A TIME. MAKING SURE YOU MEASURE TWICE AND CUT ONCE. THANK YOU FOR THE KIND WORDS, GOOD LUCK WITH YOUR DOORS

So you bought the glass window and the glass frame from Lowes? Do they advertise this product anywhere in the store? I have been looking everywhere. I found something similar online for about $200 but the glass frame appears to protrude quite a bit and I'm sort of leery about it. Any help in my search would be appreciated, nice work I hope it held up well.

looks good, I just got a door, I'm looking to add glass inserts just like this and that's how I ended up on your video, my plan was to add the glass myself (get 2 pieces cut to size) as it will be for a kitchen interior door, haven't found any videos on how to install glass into a solid door yet. You mention something about a grinder, what did you use it for to even off the main cutout ?

sorry so long to answer..... i used the grinder to actually cut the rectangle out of the door, they were metal and had six rectangles molded into the door, i just followed the manufactures recommend cut size for the glass and it fit perfectly after i cut it.....hope this helps, thanks for subscribing, liking and commenting, i appreciate it, Mike
