My skin is oily and yet foundations tend to cling to dry spots so I have to usually go with the dewy/hydrating foundations and then deal with them being oily
When I used the milk primer it did bad when I started sweating. Like it looked horrible on my nose in the summer.. I recently used it and it wasnt too bad but I dont like the way my foundation or concealer looked. Its make it look weird.... and the primer would peel off or something like that.
@@okashi10 yes! I’ve learned that loose mineral foundations (when applied correctly) turns into cream, doesn’t emphasize texture or dry skin while also barely seperationg throughout the day! Medium coverage and no cakeyness - I highly recommend looking into it. With any other foundation (and primer) it breaks apart almost everywhere on my face within an hour, I’m so grateful for mineral makeup. Shelby Wilson has the best videos to get started! I hope I could help

@@okashi10 I’m from Scandinavia so I have some different options. Currently using one by Nilens Jord, I’m thinking that when it runs out I’ll buy the BareMinerals one. I’d say to try with the original first bc I’ve read a lot of mixed reviews on the matte one. While it is technically a powder foundation, it still makes perfect sense to set it with a powder afterwards☺️

I really wanted to love this primer. Kept my Estee Lauder Double Wear looking good for 13+ hours. BUT...a few days in, my nose started getting a horrible breakout. Like....several all on my nose. I'm sad because it was working good but not worth it for me.
I found it was just average...but if convenience is your thing ..this stick is easy. As for the grip primer it always works best on me with the dewy foundations...they dont slide around my dry skin. Great review, I too cant get the bm powders to play well with my skin. -♡

Paula’s choice is great for ingredient info, I learned through there that there are “bad alcohols” such as denatured alcohol, that like you said can dry out and damage your skin with long-term use, and “good, fatty” alcohols that work as preservatives for products and help make the product texture smoother. Paula’s choice says these aren’t harmful for dry skin. If you’ve very dry skin or if you’re into more clean makeup in general, I would stay away from this primer!

Shouldn't you wear a foundation that you already know how it works when you're testing a new primer.... so you know what is doing what and distinguish how each performs? Probably....
Completely agree, for example I loveee the infallible freshwear foundation with the top faced hangover primer my skin has never looked more flawless, however my foundation separated and looked cakey AF with the milk hydro grip primer I was so sad 😭

Their original bare minerals powder has bismuth oxychloride in it that irritates people's skin. I have to wear the matte one which does not have that ingredient in it. Just putting that out there in case anyone was wondering.
