I don't wanna sound rude, but every "bad" thing the Korean girl said about Giselle and the swedish model just prooves to me that Korean beauty standards are way more toxic than Western in general.

It is toxic but that's the whole point of the video. They didn't like jisoo too and that's okay cause it's not their fault they have been grown up in a society where that's not considered pretty. I do agree the Korean girl went a little overboard but that's what is called brutally honest cause it's true that 50% of the men in korea won't say Giselle is pretty likewise 50% of west won't say jisoo is like beautiful beautiful nonetheless both and every woman is beautiful. Brazil is home to iconic models like Gisele Bundchen, Alessandra Ambrósio, Adriana Lima, Izabel Goulart, and Isabeli Fontana. However, I believe that no single person can fully represent the diverse beauty of Brazil, as it is impossible to capture its entirety.
As an Italian I think that our representative explained perfectly Italian beauty standards. I believe that for very multicultural countries like the USA and Brazil is impossible to pick just one. I travel a lot and I have always found beautiful people in every place I have been to. The more I travel the more I am amazed of how beautiful and diverse people are. I honestly cannot pick just one.
Too bad they picked Elisabetta Canalis for Italy, should have gone for Miriam Leone or Giorgia Palmas.

Gisele is very beautiful, but it’s important to remember that she is just one example of the many types of beauty found in Brazil. Obviously, she represents Brazil, but she certainly doesn’t encompass the full spectrum of Brazilian beauty.Thus, choosing one woman as a representative seems incomplete. We are blessed by our diversity, because korean standard beauty looks like more strict and I think korean women can lack confidence because this when they are really amazing.

To be considered beautiful in Korea, you have to look like an extremely skinny alien with no muscles, no curves, super hyper white (unnaturally), with a small nose and narrow eyes but trying to make them look big. True aliens. For these and other reasons, I don't understand people from other cultures embracing this disgustingness that is Korean culture and its SUPER distorted standards of reality. The problems with plastic surgeries in the West seem small compared to all this madness in Korea.

Even if when I see beautiful Koreans, I can't help but think how it's only because of plastic surgery, which is strange because everyone around the world does plastic surgery. But I think the difference is that natural beauty tends to exist around the world, but in Korea it's literally all plastic surgery to fit into one narrow type that isn't actually always pretty

The thing is: All beauty standards are hard, but Korean beauty standards are specifically harder to reach beacuse the society is much more homogeneous than the most countries that were mentioned in this video, especially Brazil and US. Of course all of them are tough, but Korean have REALLY specific things and details
Honestly, I've never felt comfortable with comments from Asian people about beauty standards. Most Asians tend to belittle the beauty standards of other countries as if the world's beauty standards were based on their perspective. I've actually been observing this carefully for some time so I think the vast majority of Asians are like this, not all. I think there is an explanation, Asian culture is very based on aesthetics, but an aesthetic based on their perspective of beauty. I think this must be why most people who live outside of Asia find Asian culture abusive, and authoritarian, I mean in this specific case.

For me as an American I viewed Gisele and Megan as Models. Someone you’d only see on social media or runways. Models are like Artwork, they’re breathtaking but in reality not many look like them. If you walk around, the people around you have very subtle yet stunning and unique features. They’re not like an art style, certain eyes, lips or face. The people around me are all different but they’re all so pretty. Which Is why I feel like the European countries felt more beautiful to me in a way because they’re people I’d most likely see everyday

To me in my eyes as an American, Megan and Gisele seem like Models. Someone you’d see only on social media. I heard a phrase saying Models are like artwork so that’s how I viewed them. Very pretty but you don’t see that in the real world so Italy, Sweden and France seemed Most Beautiful to me because I see their features more often. Like a beautiful human being. You can walk down the street and see someone similar to them naturally and I find that beautiful. I also admire Korean beauty. the style of makeup as well is so delicate in my eyes. It's amazing that you somehow heard them say "not good looking" when nobody said it, infact they said she is very pretty. Saying that a person looks "childish" isn't the term that I would use but they weren't saying it was a bad thing it simply means young. And apparently you don't know much about Korea but they aim to look pale, which is why Korean models or celebrities often appear pale in photo's or events. It is intentional. Honestly, in Brazil from i've seen my whole life, we don't pay much attention on details of why that person is pretty.
