Brazil is home to iconic models like Gisele Bundchen, Alessandra Ambrósio, Adriana Lima, Izabel Goulart, and Isabeli Fontana. However, I believe that no single person can fully represent the diverse beauty of Brazil, as it is impossible to capture its entirety.
that is so true, not only for Brazil but most countries also have a lot of diversity in facial features/combinations AND body types. I still think the Brazilian gir in the video (cant retain names for my life lmao) is the most attractive there including the models they showed. Also the French womans body type is fire and the dark hair is something i love as well. I dont care for fake faces which is the vibe i get from all of the models except for the Asian one but she also looks like 13y/o lol. Maybe im very biased coming from a country that i'd say is on the extreme end of diversity(Canada) but maybe i was just raised right idk lol.
I don't wanna sound rude, but every "bad" thing the Korean girl said about Giselle and the swedish model just prooves to me that Korean beauty standards are way more toxic than Western in general.
It is toxic but that's the whole point of the video. They didn't like jisoo too and that's okay cause it's not their fault they have been grown up in a society where that's not considered pretty. I do agree the Korean girl went a little overboard but that's what is called brutally honest cause it's true that 50% of the men in korea won't say Giselle is pretty likewise 50% of west won't say jisoo is like beautiful beautiful nonetheless both and every woman is beautiful. This video also proves beauty is subjective henceforth we shall not classify any one as pretty or ugly. Please don't hate the Korean girl
@@saturn6830 They didn't say Jisoo isn't beautiful, they say that she looks like a child/too young, way different than saying that the woman it's ugly yk? They even compliment her saying that she is indeed pretty
As an Italian I think that our representative explained perfectly Italian beauty standards. I believe that for very multicultural countries like the USA and Brazil is impossible to pick just one. I travel a lot and I have always found beautiful people in every place I have been to. The more I travel the more I am amazed of how beautiful and diverse people are. I honestly cannot pick just one.
@@InfoRome They are all gorgeous. We are not multicultural in the American or Brazilian sense but us Italians can look quite different from each other so it is quite difficult to pick just one too. @@quelodequeloAll stunning. But I have to admit I have a soft spot for Bellucci. I don’t only appreciate her beauty but her personality and mysterious aura that makes her even more attractive in my eyes.
Gisele is very beautiful, but it’s important to remember that she is just one example of the many types of beauty found in Brazil. Obviously, she represents Brazil, but she certainly doesn’t encompass the full spectrum of Brazilian beauty. Thus, choosing one woman as a representative seems incomplete. We are blessed by our diversity, because korean standard beauty looks like more strict and I think korean women can lack confidence because this when they are really amazing.
Believe me: Not a single soul walking on this Earth would not turn around if Giselle passes by. She’s more than the look. She’s got what we brazilians call borogodó, an extra something impossible to put into words.
The Korean woman said that Gisele wouldn't attract attention if she walked on the streets of Korea, now I wonder, would a blonde woman, 1.80 tall, thin, elegant and with blue eyes, really not attract attention? Gisele is considered the only model in the world who is a level above the "super models", she was considered "Ubermodel", she was the highest paid model in the world for decades and to this day is among the highest paid, Gisele is an icon to the world of fashion!! What this Korean woman said doesn't make any sense at all 😂😂
It's called jealousy. And the irony is that rhinoplasty is the 2nd most common plastic surgery procedure in Korea. I like the Italian girl who threw shade at Korea, calling the idol 'fake' looking and aversion for plastic surgery.

Korea may have developed very particular beauty standards because it's such an ethnically homogeneous society, same thing with Japan. The Americas and western Europe are so much more diverse.
I disagree. Because their beauty standards are not aligning with the "essential" korean features. Like the double eye lids, the skin color, the height etc. . Its not matching. They seem to heavily lean to middle and eastern european standards. Like Germany, Poland, Russia. Also notice how often the korean girl said "like a child" in this video, when referring to beauty. Very weird
@@onwindydays you know theres is asians with double eye lids, right? the pale thing is something that did exist way before they encountered any westerns
Agree with her, here in my Muslim country. Woman were forbid to wear make up or plastic surgery, except for their husband. So when they go outside, they don't wore any make up so you can see how beautiful they're.
This is one of the things that doesn't drive me crazy about Asian people, the beauty standards centered on a single gender, very light skin, delicate features and small build.
Say Korean ppl more than Asian if u go to india they have different standards like they don’t like Mongolian ( china, Japan , Korea ) facial so it’s more east Asia

Standards in general in Asia are very exaggerated and strange, like you can be feminine, that's fine, but I don't understand this obsession with childishness, I believe Japan, China, Korea are like that
China? Never heard of it, japan are the one Who obssesed with cuteness. While Korea prefer beautiful more than cute. So why japan prefer cute? Thats because japan for thousand of years were recorded by chinese that average japanese Men is 5'1" while their woman is 4'8". They still same height when they record in shogunate era, no until post WW1 when japanese government start to make sure their citizen has taller body like their neighbour. Today they have same height as chinese and Korean but the mentality of small and cute has been ingrained in their memories
It’s the averages, what you consider cute is just normal there. From their point of view why are westerners obsessed with sexy, do women always have to have their asses hanging out?

Honestly, I've never felt comfortable with comments from Asian people about beauty standards. Most Asians tend to belittle the beauty standards of other countries as if the world's beauty standards were based on their perspective. I've actually been observing this carefully for some time so I think the vast majority of Asians are like this, not all. I think there is an explanation, Asian culture is very based on aesthetics, but an aesthetic based on their perspective of beauty. I think this must be why most people who live outside of Asia find Asian culture abusive, and authoritarian, I mean in this specific case.
@@franciscovilcheavila960 Yeah facts! That's why I try to be careful, because for us who live in Latin America, the beauty standard is relative, it's a concept, we don't have a specific beauty standard, the media tries to impose that, but we don't have this kinda standard and in the United States there is no such standard either, but in Asia there is an established beauty standard.

It's quite surprising to witness this Korean girl discussing others' appearances in this manner, especially considering how respectful she has been in her previous videos. Nevertheless, it's worth noting that Korean society tends to be highly critical when it comes to looks, and being a natural beauty in Korea may not be particularly celebrated unless you fit the beauty standard.
She's just being honest and straightforward. Korean standards are different than western standards, particularly the western modeling industry's standards. This is a video about comparing/contrasting different beauty standards, it's not like she walked up to some random person and said; 'you're ugly'. If you're sensitive about it you shouldn't have watched.
Impressive, a Korea specialist! It appears that a lot of people here are displaying heightened sensitivity then. Many comments express the same sentiment. I'm aware that Koreans can be quite candid when sharing their opinions, but I was genuinely taken aback by her behavior, especially since I've seen her act differently in other videos. It’s amazing how the “Westerners” had no problem criticizing the Korean pop star but the minute the Korean girl said she doesn’t find Giselle Bundchen that pretty they considered it unthinkable and went to her defense. This is only cuz GB is such a big supermodel that her saying no man would look at her elicited such a negative reaction from the panel and here in the comments! You say Korean beauty standards are high and rigid but have no problem calling the Korean star childish, immature, pale and not good looking, aren’t those your standards then?! All beauty is superficial and if we’re talking strictly from a physical, shallow, pleasing to the eye beauty aesthetic POV, there are ppl who give more weightage to the face and those who give to the body. Some don’t like masculine features on women and some want them to be more mature and not cutesy. So, don’t come at someone only cuz someone is considered a beauty standard around the world! It's amazing that you somehow heard them say "not good looking" when nobody said it, infact they said she is very pretty. Saying that a person looks "childish" isn't the term that I would use but they weren't saying it was a bad thing it simply means young. And apparently you don't know much about Korea but they aim to look pale, which is why Korean models or celebrities often appear pale in photo's or events. It is intentional. But since you want to criticize these ladies for saying Korean beauty standards are to high then could you explain why young women in South Korea commit suicide more then any other country in the world? and show how it has nothing to do with pressure of trying to fit into the culture the society has deemed "A Standard". I'll wait.

In countries that were built with diverse mixed cultures like Brazil, it is difficult to choose one person as a reference for beauty, as there is no single type, as there is in Asia. Giselle is very beautiful and elegant. But she does not represent all the beauty of Brazilian women. But at least she has natural beauty, she's not like Korean women who like to have plastic surgery instead of accepting their own beauty. There is no problem in having plastic surgery, but excess is a problem, including a psychological one.
In Italy we always said la bellezza è soggettiva. Beauty is subjective. Someone can be so beautiful but many people can be not that attracted to them, what is beautiful for you can easly be ugly for many. And it's normal.
As an East Asian, I think the most beautiful women are still European eg Audrey Hepburn, Scarlett Johanssen, Sarah Michelle Gellar, Anne Hathaway, Emma Watson, Jessica Alba, Sophie Marceau. Korean women don't stand a chance.
Look up Emma Watson, she looks like a man. The only ones that classify as beautiful in your list are Audrey Hepburn, young Sarah Michelle Gellar, Anne Hathaway, and young Sophie Marceau
Another thing to take into account is that everything she criticized is exactly what falls into the standard of Asian beauty, Chinese Japanese, Korean which is pale makeup, baby face, beauty bordering on cuteness and someone fragile
And all korean do not plastic surgery i have very pale skin i am 100%korean but I way paler you western people my friends are naturally pretty some have eyelid surgery but only2/10 korea have long winter and in summer has rainy days honestly i have seen many fair skined korean Some are dark some'are yellow but many fair skin
I am also Korean and have the same thoughts as her. Probably more than 80% of Koreans have the same thoughts. Beauty standards vary from country to country.
Yeah but most countries don't actually try to fit into a "Standard" There is a reason South Korea ranks #1 in the world for female suicide rate. That is directly related unbelievable pressure or the feeling of hopelessness within a society. It is heartbreaking.
@@TheRyno525 You are wrong. Female suicide rates have nothing to do with appearance Strictly speaking, it is related to elderly poverty. And the reason for the high suicide rate in Korea is elderly poverty and This is because the suicide rate among men is high.
@umdarkssa6001 yes. But let's not forget KBS are extremely toxic and unhealthy compared to western. these have put pressure into kpop idols and all koreans.
Ironically they worship white facial features
It is toxic but that's the whole point of the video. They didn't like jisoo too and that's okay cause it's not their fault they have been grown up in a society where that's not considered pretty. I do agree the Korean girl went a little overboard but that's what is called brutally honest cause it's true that 50% of the men in korea won't say Giselle is pretty likewise 50% of west won't say jisoo is like beautiful beautiful nonetheless both and every woman is beautiful. This video also proves beauty is subjective henceforth we shall not classify any one as pretty or ugly. Please don't hate the Korean girl

Obviously, she represents Brazil, but she certainly doesn’t encompass the full spectrum of Brazilian beauty. Thus, choosing one woman as a representative seems incomplete. In Brazil, various types of beauty are appreciated, perhaps because it is a country with a long history of immigrants. For me, Megan Fox is beautiful, but kpop idols are just as beautiful.
Adriana Lima should be the Brazilian representative.
For Korean women, the concept of a feminine woman is different, as the features of Korean men are also considered feminine.
Pqp.
To me in my eyes as an American, Megan and Gisele seem like Models. Someone you’d see only on social media. I heard a phrase saying Models are like artwork so that’s how I viewed them. Very pretty but you don’t see that in the real world so Italy, Sweden and France seemed Most Beautiful to me because I see their features more often. Like a beautiful human being. You can walk down the street and see someone similar to them naturally and I find that beautiful. I also admire Korean beauty. the style of makeup as well is so delicate in my eyes. But overall everyone is gorgeous regardless

There're beauty standards , however if you think about each person from each country can be pretty , but it also depends on the person's preferences , my favorite one is probably the nordics such as Sofia 🇸🇪
Dont know about the countries, but Ana is the most beautiful from this video.

Honestly, in Brazil from i've seen my whole life, we don't pay much attention on details of why that person is pretty. I've seen that korean usually talk about all features like nose, cheekbones, eyes, mouth etc. Even when they ask your type of man, they can literally do a list just about the looks. I dont see this here. We just find someone pretty for some reason, but can't really name them all 😅

This french lady was beaut as hell. She was like Megan fox at her peak but trying to suppress her charisma. Still elegance flows out of her.
I thought the Italian woman is the most beautiful. Especially her eyes.
As a French woman I also feel like Marion Cotillard and Sophie Marceau really embody the French look. Like kinda like a babyface like the Korean woman said, with soft facial features, big eyes and not so much makeup. I actually feel like we usually prefer youthful beauty
Léa Seydoux too, for that high class/elegance kinda vibe
As a Greek I’d say that Isabelle Adjani’s beauty is on top!!!
All of them ladies in the panel are beautiful, and represent the beauty standard of each country. The Italian girl has gorgeous eyes!

Reciprocidade...

Well, the brazilian beauty standard for women might have disagreements, but when it comes to male beauty standards, they would just need to show a photo of me. That's what my mom says. haha
The woman from brazil in here. is far more beautiful than all "pro models"
It seems you might also be somewhat judgmental, as you don't seem open to others' perspectives and appear defensive.
I'm aware that Koreans can be quite candid when sharing their opinions, but I was genuinely taken aback by her behavior, especially since I've seen her act differently in other videos. Perhaps she's extremely passionate about this topic, as Koreans are often stereotyped as being preoccupied with their appearance.@@karllogan8809
I think she was upset because the girls didn't think the Korean girls were pretty...
@@karllogan8809 It's okay about being honest. But South Korea's standard of beauty is surreal, as it is not found naturally in the native population of their country, unless the person undergoes extensive plastic surgery and uses tons of makeup to hide imperfections and make the skin white. like snow.
She can be liked by 99 out of 100 ppl but that 1 person has every right to voice out what they feel!
I'll wait.
Im saying this as a kpop fan. Koreans are literally trying to look childish and pale and have soft baby like features. It is the total opposite in western .KBS are very toxic in general. "Small head, extremly skinny with curvey hips." Many of ur fav kpop idol suffer because of these ridiculous standards.
Ofc in western standards these are new and weird. And when did they say that jisoo is ugly, they just said she was extremely pretty but doesn't fit into the western standards, which is obvious.
This is what happen when ur too obsessed with korea
Thank you for your SMART comments ☺️
@deepthipisupati3576 name a country that has a standard of "your body length should be 6 times as your head" or " weight under 49kg" or " extremely skinny with wide hips and a hourglass figure"
Another K-pop idol got hate for having "arm fat" infact She was underweight. Do you see this happen with Hollywood stars?
Babe, 15-year-old Korean teenagers ask their parents for plastic surgery as a birthday present. Their pale color is not natural, they don't sunbathe, they use filters in their photos, they undergo skin lightening treatments and use makeup and creams to become lighter, the weight required of them is unreal! Always below 45kg regardless of height, a 50kg woman is fat for them! The eyes? They undergo surgery to enlarge their noses, rhinoplasty, they have surgeries in which they shave their chins to make them in a V shape, do you realize how harmful this is? They created a standard that doesn't naturally exist and pressured women to follow it at any cost! Gisele may not be pretty by their standard, but she is natural! Your eyes, mouth, nose, face shape, body, color! Everything about her is as her genetics determined! At 43 years old she looks like a 43 year old woman. And another, Ana didn't say anything about Jisoo.
As brazilian, I would choose Adriana Lima as the highest beauty standard

This whole episode has been about our Korean friend working hard to undermine and devalue some rather obvious beauty traits in order to feed her state of denial about the fact that she herself is not as pretty as she would like to believe.
At least it was entertaining.
It's weird how everyone says they like natural beauty in their country, but reality depicts a totally different picture.
Thinking the same thing. All the chics talking about natural beauty and a little makeup are the ones with SO MUCH makeup caked on. I would take the Korean or Swedish chic as first pick, then the Brazilian and Italian. The American and French just look fake. But that's my opinion. And I agree that Giselle is not that pretty -- looks like a man in the face.
