My daughter also suffering with nephrotic syndrome, almost 1 week and weight gain is another concern . Just need to understand how much time it take to recover ( in normal circumstances )if child age is less than four year old.
Hi, yes weight gain will be there as your child is on steroids.
Usually it takes 7 to 21 days for urine protein to become negative. If not then the causes need to be investigsted. As far as recovery is concerned, nephrotic syndrome is not a one time disease, it can recur with any infection.So you will need to take steroids with every relapse.

Hi. i am 40 years old. I had nephrotic syndrome when i was child (from age 5 to12), my belly, face and eyes would swell. Doctors forbad me to consume salty food, rice, tomatoes and other spicy food. No i am quite healthy. I daily go to gym for work out, all my friends consume whey protein... I also want to use whey protein but i am hesitant as i fear that my kidneys can become damaged again... But me apse yeh puchna chahti hu ki usko medicine suit hoge na aage bhi?

Nephrotic syndrome is little complicated in adults compared to children, but not always. If you are responding to steroids then you need not worry. Keep a regular follow up with your doctor.
Mujhe 2017 se nephrotic syndrome tha,, steroids ke dose lene ke bad medicine ki mg km krne se protein leackage nil ho jata,, steroids band kr deta tha fir wapis protein trace hota thaa,,

Hello Janki ji, yes it can be found at any age. But the cause for nephrotic syndrome is different in adults compared to children. It is easier to treat in children compared to adults. As far as treatment is concerned , you may require to give higher immunosuppresion at times.

Nephrotic syndrome usually bacho me 18 years take control me aa jata hai. But medicine me nothing is absolute. Kabhi bhi relapse ho sakta hai.
