For lace, the Easiest way to remove tape is with rubbing alcohol. Spray the alcohol through the hair on the areas you have tape. Leave for a few seconds and the lace will release from the tape while attached to your head. No need to excessive removing of tape. Only glue will be left behind if any glue was used. Then use the rubbing alcohol to remove the tape from the head. Wash the hair with any hair dresser shampoo (treseme) then dry with low heat hair dryer. High heat will melt the lace. Thank me later.
Spraying the solvent from the hair side to remove tape only works if you have a full lace base. If you have skin or poly around the perimeter, the solvent will not be able to penetrate to the underside of the tape.
Also, when the system is off the head, spraying water from the hair side is never a good idea as it pushes the hairs through the lace to the wrong side. It is better to spray the water from the underside.
People typically shampoo two or three times a week like they would with their own hair. You can keep your hair system on and wash your hair as you normally would in the shower. However, when you want to clean your hair system you will need to remove it and you might want to take the opportunity to wash the hair at the same time. Handle the base and hair with care but here is some more specific advice from our website: www.lordhair.com/how-to-order/hair-care/useful-suggestions.html.

What do spray on the hair piece get the tape off? Citrus?
A solvent remover. The C-22 Solvent spray by Walker Tape is a popular choice and that has a citrus fragrance.
