Hi, The GSD_PointsSplineLoftFromExcel.xls is located at your CATIA installation directory e.g. C:\Program Files\Dassault Systemes\B25\win_b64\code\command Within the command folder you will be able to find the Excel file called GSD_PointsSplineLoftFromExcel.xls. Double click on it to open the file.

Thank you so much for this tutorial, muchly appreciated , But I had one question please related to the last step, isnt it better to give thickness instead of making it solid? because if it is solid then its weight is doubled at least and that would effect the analysis
@@themartiandogengineer Hi, Thanks for your reply, I tried that but facing errors due to smoothness and offset or degeration, So can you please guied me how to solve it, or if you can direct me to the exact video that you made it successfully in Renault project because they are too much 😅
@@abdulazizalhamid3885 You can't use thickness on the entire body at once because some parts like the wing and tail are thin and therefore thickness can't be uniform. It has to be in parts. Tips: Try to reverse the thickness to offset outwards for thin bodies. Try to lower the thickness in mm. You can also make a body solid then use shelling option to make it hollow & give it thickness in part design. Watch the Renault project for advanced knowledge on surfacing & solid integration. This was intermediate that's why i simplified it.
Here the winglet chord you have mentioned is 751mm but you have downloaded a file of 375mm as the chord length. So could you please clarify that for me. And thank you for creating such a helpful vedio👏
Hi, thank you for watching & for the keen eye.👌🏼 Yes. The base of the airfoil should be about 750-800. But we didn't download the airfoil because we used points & splines in Catia to create the sweeping face from base to tip to winglet instead. (17:00 - 20:40) The 375mm if for the tip of the winglet.
That's amazing work! what are the specs are your computer or which computer is best for catia i am intrested in learning the software but i am not sure which computer may be best for it thanks
For every Catia version, you'll find the minimum laptop specs indicated I would recommend you have at least 8GB RAM & a dedicated processor like Nvidia or AMD Ryzen for a smooth operation.

Hi, what error message did you get so I can help you. In the meantime, check that you plotted the correct aerofoil, mirror image is checked & that the aerofoil is connected at the ends
Hi Please let me know How to create macro Format In Excel

@@abdulazizalhamid3885 Hi, yes. It's better to give it thickness if you're conducting structural analysis. Like we've done to the Renault project.

Make sure Catia is open in the background on part mode not product. Let me know if this helps...
Hi can you explain how to calculate wing chords
I will try to make a standalone video on that. However this is a complex topic that requires previous knowledge in other Aeronautical/Aerospace engineering disciplines as well as aircraft performance.
i have encountered an error in the winglet and couldnt solve it while creating the multisection

the error encountered was while doing the multisection between the winglet and the tip airfoil saying there was a cursp @@themartiandogengineer

The adheral angle how can you put in Exel
HI,
Kindly follow the tutorial keenly on the part where we're calculating values to run macros.
🔥🔥🔥.
How to download gsd point sheet
when i go to the file location of catia i could not find gsd file there help please!!!!!
Hi,
You can try downloading the file separately.
Just google "GSD_PointSplineLoftFromExcel" pdf but please scan for malware first.
Macro can not be run.... What is the solution?
1. Check if macros is enabled in Excel. You can get the procedure on Google.
2. Catia should already be running & a .CatPart file opened.
