    Remember all the machines they trashed a few years ago?

    That's a neat machine. We get a lot of packages in the mail, so 'thumbs up!'

    what happens if the camera cannot scan the package labels? how do they get sorted?

    • @StaticBlaster
      @StaticBlaster Рік тому +1

      They get pulled and run through a separate machine that creates another label and it gets refed through this machine.

      That camera is really good at reading the slopiest handwriting lol if it can't it gets knocked off the line and the image gets sent to a human sitting at a computer somewhere who tries deciphering it then updates it in the computer and it goes back to being sorted.

    We don't have those boxes in our state. I do things the traditional way. I go into the PO. Sure, we like convenience from our cars; but if you're figuring on making sure your recipient(s) get your gift(s), lazy isn't an excuse in these times. Security is!!

    I'm only here out of fear.
    I ordered a Scarlett 2i2 Gen 4 MIDI interface and a DM-1 Dynamite mic pre-amp 9 days ago and had it go through UPS.
    I've even held faith that my gear wouldn't be mistreated or stolen in the Hodgkins IL, UPS Facility. (Known for theft, damaging products, and holding packages due to civil unrest)
    Now at this point, if tracking my UPS parcel whilst seeing it inconveniently make it 40 miles past it's destination, just to be processed again a couple hours later and labeled at 1 other facilitiy (Which happens to be a 20 second drive from my house!! lol!) hasn't crushed the last ounce of optimism I had left. You could only imagine that seeing it transfer over to the USPS and their new (Efficient) package processor suddenly had me feel reluctant. It really makes me SUPER nervous knowing that I have a 2 lb package being processed in such a barbaric fucking manner.
    Obsesrve as this brute at 1:25 parrys a box out of his way that very well could've held the value of their auto insurance or electric bill. And do you think the USPS gives a shit? Hell Nawww! 😆

    USPS can suck my junk. I paid $150 for a Priority intl. shipment and the transit time from Tucson, Az. to Los Angeles, Ca. alone was 21 days ! Shipped out in October so not even peak season. Now looking at a minimum of 30 days to complete the journey to Norway which not long ago never used to take more than 10 days. This new business ethic from USPS is unheard of. I can`t help but wonder if the Ebay & Amazon mail take PRIORITY over the non marketplace intl. mail..

      It probably got lost due to old sorters or usps is understaffed. That’s the biggest issue rn. Staffing

      @@bailee7696 Not so much matey...it`s tracking just fine. Left LAX two days ago. I`ve used this shipping corridor for a decade, never seen anything "got lost" I think shipments going astray is more of a domestic US problem.

      @mybluebelly First time for everything, if you have been shipping regularly for 10 years then your odds of something taking up to 2 weeks longer one single time is pretty high. You don't like the state of the USPS? Tell you friends, sisters, brothers and cousins to apply. Currently the USPS is understaffed in many places in the nation.

    • @mybluebelly
      @mybluebelly 10 місяців тому

      @@nopenaw9835 Well it arrived after 5 (five) full weeks or 35 days. Shipment was pretty beat up and took some water damage. Guessing it don`t rain much in LA, so it must have been in Zurich sitting around in some cart out in the weather. The prolonged transit time alone will adversely affect the condition of shipments or in other words, a shipment that transits swiftly is much less prone to damage because it stays in the "danger zone" for much less time. Not looking forward to ordering from USA again any time soon. Maybe i should look for a good surface shipper next time..

    I think the USPS need someone to improve efficiency. Let's say I mail my next door neighbor here in Kingman, AZ a card, I drop it off at the post office and it will be put on a truck and driven 100 miles north to Las Vegas, NV where it will be sorted, post marked and put on another truck and driven 100 miles south back to Kingman where it will be once again sorted and put on a truck where it will hopefully wind up in the correct mail box, no guarantees there though.

    • @katielove9932

      Why would you do that? Just put it in her mailbox, or door, or hand it to the neighbor.

      @@mahdiammons1577 You're projecting, I used my next door neighbor as an example for this. Every piece of mail in my town goes 100 miles north using fuel, time, wear and tear and then travels 100 miles south using 100 miles of fuel, time and wear and tear when all the Kingman Post Office would have to do is buy a hand stamp.
