Personally I like watching your digital art videos I think it's fun to experiment (and apparently also watch people experiment?🤨) But I think it really depends whether or not you prefer the undo button or using the cleanup techniques you seemingly invented for normal paintings
The most fun part about digital art is definitely the undo button, but I think going out of your comfort zone would be good! Besides the best kind of art is the art that the artist enjoyed making
Be careful when doing digital art often, because when i move back to traditional after doing digital for a bit I often find my self looking for the undo button when drawing on paper, and then getting greatly annoyed when I discover I need to use an eraser.
Can relate as a person who loves to write stories and fanfiction, occasionally. I did both traditional writing and digital in my laptop, and whenever I get a typos I just wish backspace/delete button exist while I write with pen
I think it’s easier to approach digital art as a traditional artist if you don’t think of comparing traditional mediums to digital brushes. Instead of trying to find a brush that works exactly like watercolour or gouache, look for a brush which gives the effect you are looking for that you can layer and manipulate to look like traditional art. Hope this is helpful:)
This is great advice! Digital art is another medium, just like how you wouldn't compare watercolor to oil paint. There are transferable skills, but one cannot replace the other. Just takes some practice!
Honestly, I find the brushes that mimic irl brushes make things much more complicated for me. I was so mindblown when I learned that people usually use those kinds of brushes as finishing touches rather than using them to, like, paint. I guess that explains why those watercolour splatter brushes are HUGE compared to the regular round brushes.
as a traditional artist getting into digital art, i was amazed at how much of my experience and knowledge from traditional mediums transfered over to digital art... i expected digitial art to be a whole new world of skills and an entirely different experience, but i was pleasantly surprised how similar the concepts between the two are.
Very impressive how you’re able to keep your style even with a very different medium and technique. It’s really hard to go from traditional to digital suddenly, you’re nailing it

I had to draw digitally because I have tremors in my hands and its been like that since I was probably 12. Most digital art programs have stabilization features which just help me steady my lines allowing me to draw like normal. I have a lot of respect for those who can do traditional art but I have the same respect for those who take the time to understand digital art without bashing it as being something "weird" or less "artistic" than traditional. Thank you for giving it a shot and finding what works for you!
Yeah, I thought I could move an element of the picture over, then realised it was on a single layer of paper, so I was stuck with the composition as I'd made it.
I feel like digital art acts as an entirely different medium rather than a digital replacement for physical art. There’s lots of things you can do that make digital art unique, and lots of things you can do in watercolor/gouache/acrylic that make them unique! Personally I’m a huge digital art fan, but I also abuse layers, clipping/masks, layer types, and all sorts of post-processing. That’s where the fun comes in for me!
Please keep trying digital art. I want to dabble in it but there are almost no "how to" videos like these. I need these so I can make a decision. I would even watch a long form video of you sharing your experiences and reviews of digital art supplies.
There's plenty of speedpaintings or tutorials for specific programs on youtube! Try searching "medibang tutorial" for example- it's a fre program, and decent in my opinion :) The more broad "digital tutorial" search might be the issue here.

Not an artist, but 1: I love this guy and what he does, and 2: i had a sister who chose to do her art GCSE and some of her coursework was amazing ( for those who don’t know what gcse is it is the General Certificate of Secondary Education)
I enjoy both digital and traditional art, and lemme just say, you did an absolutely beautiful job on that painting oh my gosh!!! I’m a young artist and seeing cool stuff like this always gives me inspiration to keep going in art!! ❤
i love how hes like "i suck at this", ive done digital art so much and hes so much better than me LOL
i love how albert is talking how krew is so nice 😭
never even HEARD of rebelle, but it sounds super intuitive for traditional artists!!! (... one you figure out the digital equivalent of the old-school setup of course. ^^;
for what it's worth, most artists i know of that do both traditional and digital art seem to have two separate styles (or at least strategies) for each, but your traditional style carried across beautifully here! ♡
This is so neat! I’ve never seen such a non-digital looking digital art app. I gotta try it out! Turned out beautiful for you!
you should try procreate if you want to keep exploring digital art. i love that you can customize the feel of the brushes, and how they show up on paper, you can even make your own! I love using it to make Christmas cards, name, tags, or advertisements

Also Scott: Expects it to look okay
😂
I always loved the texture or style traditional painting does but couldn't find it in digital form or hard to recreate so this was helpful to know
The last one literally looks like one of your traditional pieces! Love your work ❤
I love how he showed off how much better the program is by turning off and avoiding the only features that differentiate it from the two previously mentioned programs
I personally use ibis paint but that looks so cool and I want to try it now
Love your voice when you say "undo 😌" like that option was waiting for you their whole existence
Omg it looks just like you paint regularly! 😂❤
I’m like that tbh so I just do traditional art but it’s so good how the internet has grown so you can do basic needs digitally and make it easier for people
That tilt is so utterly cool
Omg this was the most wholesome thing I've seen today 😭 😭 😭 ❤
Oh for sure you should! It looks great, and if it's fun, why not! And I'm sure there's specific uses or ideas for digital painting you could do :D
I think both traditional and digital have their pros and cons.
I often will do the sketch traditionally, then take a photo and work on it digitally.
Lovely art btw!
