@@SirZuboI mean that I saw a comment from a person who wrote that Ekko will not save anyone with his device and will not become a hero (this was before the release of Act 3). But as we see, he also saved someone. Personally, I always believed in Ekko and knew that he would live up to his nickname “the boy savior”.

@@poti732ekko's performance made way for jayce to shine though. they wouldn't even had a fighting or bargaining chance if it werent for ekko. so yes even if they defeated viktor with their collective effort, if you had to give the mvp title to someone itd go to ekko.
My favorite part about this scene is when Viktor says, "That device can't be." Which means Ekko and Heimerdinger literally created something that CANNOT EXIST in their world.
That's why when the strands of light started coming down from the sky, it missed Ekko. He is literally living "out of time." He's a ghost to Viktor's gaze because he and Jayce are the only two that have been "touched" by the arcane.
It just goes to show that if he didn't return from the wild rune, his world would have been destroyed.
He unironically saved the world.
I don't think being touched by the arcane is what made them invisible to the light strands, rather it was being touched by the wild rune (otherwise Mel would've been safe).
It definitely makes more sense than the strands missing him because he was unconscious.
@@JuanSolo9 When Jayce returned from the wild rune, Viktor said that he was "also touched by the arcane." I was just using his terminology, but I agree it's specifically the fact that he entered the wild rune that saved him.
I don't think that this device cannot be made in their world. It is simply beyond Victor skills/imagination. Ekko, Heimerdinger and Powder were smarter then Hextech "god".
He means that there's no way Ekko should be able to have an anomaly aswell. Viktor thought he had the only one.
@wojciechwerner8787 I think it's a type of symbolism that it "cannot be." As in, Jinx, Heimerdinger, and Ekko would never have (in this world) worked together to create it. It also is a form of technology that was created by the combined efforts of a Piltover and Zaun.
I don't think it's so much that it literally cannot be, but that with Viktor's godly intellect and understanding of the arcane, he could never have imagined this device was possible.
Ekko deserved an extra minute of kicking ass in this episode, hell I would desperately watch an entire movie if it was just like this sequence.

It's because he saw Jinx's grin symbol in the clouds and went "Aw hell no" and did his own version of pulling pulling out a grenade to take his opponent with him. The man wore Jinx's X symbol across his heart when he went into battle. It's pretty clear where he was drawing his strength, whom he was unwilling to give up on again.

@@XaldinX It's more that Ekko sort of fills the same narrative role Miles did in his comic appearance. He would be an interesting character in his own right, but he's so overshadowed by Jayce and other plotlines that he really has very little role to play. I note that he never even met Viktor before this moment.

And him using his ult chronobreak via pushing past the 4 second limit to explode
I love that the way his rewind works incentivizes both an in-game playstyle and what he goes for in this fight; he needs to go as fast as possible in order to make it have any effect because of the short limit, and the damaging effect on his R is added once he commits to breaking the limit.

i think it’s even more impressive that we saw earlier in the season that jayce and mel struggled against ONE of those robot minions because of how strong they are. We’ve also established Mel can easily overpower squads of trained noxus soldiers while jayce with his upgraded mercury hammer is a force to be reckoned with as well. Ekko basically avoided the entire legion by himself and saved the world within seconds.
He doesn't need days, months or years. He only needs seconds 🗿

i love how they told us in season 1 that hes the boy savior, but it wasnt until the conclusion that the audience is able to understand it.

He was the one who started it by telling Vi and company about Jayce's laboratory and the hextech crystal. And he was the one who ended it. MVP
I like that it's a reference to their original concept for his ultimate. Originally, the explosion would occur where he starts from before teleporting backwards, but ultimately it was changed to be at the end instead. This was before it got in player hands and was just explained a long time ago.
He's the one who saved this timeline... he reverse time for jayce not to turn fully... and jayce able to show his memory about the future

Ekko does not have many scenes, but he sure make his appearances count. He just came in like a time lord and tore up everything 😍😁. He should be on the council! The boy saviour indeed!
The only thing that surprises me is that all the credit for the victory is given to Ekko when it was ultimately a team effort. What Ekko managed to do was give Victor a lucid moment to listen to what Jayce had to say. Practically, without Jayce there, what Ekko achieved would have been… giving Victor a wound? And without Ekko there, everything would have ended up just like in Jayce's vision. Give some credit to the guy who had to live for quite a while in a Fallout-style universe, only to end up sacrificing himself alongside his best friend for the good of all Runeterra.
this is true, though I think what happened was Viktor "went back in time" when he got hit by the Z-drive so that his old (alive) self came back. But yes, if it wasnt for Jayce, he would probably go back to him being a god

I think if jayce and victor didnt work together everybody wouldve died when the anomaly exploded. victor and jayce managed to contain it so it caused no damage and they dissapeared.
if that was not the case I think the world wouldve ended up like the wasteland jayce saw since its clear an explotion happened there and not victor pupeteering everyone.
His clutch up was crazy and the fact he left a perfect world to save hid world and the fact he changed time while he hold by the puppets shows how goated of a character he is

I'm wondering why? There were three lines going into the area where Jinx and Vi fought Vander/Warwick but Ekko did not get controlled.
Initially I thought, it's because he came back from a different timeline, but it's still the real Ekko from the current timeline, right?
not sure about that, but it's maybe because Ekko was KO at this time.
I like to think that it's because he was resistant to him because of the fact that he "created" his own anomaly in the other universe.
I'm going to guess it has more to do with the fact he's got another mini-hexcore strapped to his back--especially given what happened when he chucked it at Viktor.
I thought it was because he is unconsisous at that time.

the only difference here is that ekko was here to save the day, this was the ONLY universe where they won against Victor because he gave Jayce the rune that ekko used to invent time travel. Victor gave Jayce the opportunity to have the position to be the main character but Ekko stole that spot
