been playing around with that crosshair and I've definitely noticed my shotgun shots landing much more consistently, especially when you're yoinking people back to you.
As someone who plays a lot of JQ that’s a good time to whack them with another melee attack too. I’m pretty sure if you land a throwing knife and then a melee it stacks.
Ive used the crosshair too and its done wonders, I know when to fire and at least expect to hit something, still needta get used to meleeing after pulls and close range shotty taps, Played ramatta for most of s2 now its up in the air between rein, queen and Sigma of who i wanna learn.
What’s the numbers for the crosshair? I remember watching the video here he tried it out but I haven’t seen anything about how to make that crosshair

I KNEW SHE WAS SLEPT ON. I'm a one trick queen with my secondary ball since he's meta, played queen since right after the beta nerf (never got to play the op queen ): ) and I always thought she was really good in this new season, but everyone was saying she was c or d tier. I consistently get more dmg, and more picks than my DPS, unless its a widow or hanzo that has borderline aim bot. SO HAPPY I get to see flats play queen, and see that I play the same style as him :D
I LOVE yanking the backline with knife or ulting to the backline and killing them all with carnage when they run towards me at once since they're scared that they're all anti'd
JQ is almost like widow or sombra, she’s got a high skill ceiling but can also get low value if you’re not using her correctly, so they’re both kinda right. I imagine at lower levels she’s probably pretty dumpster but at higher levels they can survive long enough to make full use of her kit.
I mean against another queen it's not the same as facing another tank
JQ is definitely solid now that she’s been buffed a couple times. I really like what they’ve done with her and she’s a lot of fun so I’m glad she’s viable too.
Only problem i have is that to play queen effectivly i need a sup thats on my ass, bcs i have no abilities to block damage i lose insane amounts of hps in a realy short time. Especialy when facing a bastion, mcree, ashe, widow or junk.
The fact that he hit 25k damage and only got 3k healing in a long rialto match proves my point that the self healing passive is still pretty lack luster and needed a bigger buff than a .25 increase. He even has more mitigation from his yell than healing.
Edit. Yes I know the shotgun is a good like 50 to 60 percent of the damage but it still doesn't change that only 3k was possible for a full game of brawling. And thst it's significantly less than roadhog or reaper would have in all that time. Probably less than may. And I also know mitigation is from teammates also getting 50 overhealth from time to time.( I have 87 hr on JQ)
Well, most of that damage is from the shotgun and not abilities. So if 5k DMG is from the abilities that cause bleed, and 20k is from the primary fire, it makes sense.
On top of that, you can hit bleeds at full HP and you will not get healing for that.

Mitigation counts his teammates who got the overhealth too. Healing would only count himself.
I play a lot of JQ, I think her self healing is fine as is. It just needs to be enough to cover those break points where you would otherwise lose the fight, and her bleed damage can cut through enemies trying to sustain. If they buff it she will immediately become OP.
@@ErikDayne Wish she had maybe one more shot in the chamber for her shotgun or two if I had to give any buffs.

I am so happy more people have been playing JQ lately, she's such a Fun character and I love hearing her voicelines in game, whether it's just an interaction or a battle quote, I love the personality! I also like how she sometimes "complains" that they're winning, like it's too easy.
"Awe I wanted a Scar" "Outnumbered? They've finally got a fair fight!" "Eh, I've got plenty of Teeth left!" "Oh, are ya done?" "You know yer allowed to fight back right?" "Lets give em a Fighting chance."
Are a few of my favorite lines. (I actually wasn't a Fan of the Mythic Skin because of the specific voicelines. It's fun for sure! I just prefer her classic voicelines) sorry for that ramble just happy.
lmao, my favorite voice line of hers is when you say hello and she goes, "...what?"

2:00 Honestly played a couple matches with JQ against Ball and the knife pull CC is KILLER if he tries to grapple roll out of danger. The pull feels like it has like 2x stength against him.

I really want to get better at JQ because she's been one of my faves since she came out, I just always feel like I never have enough of an impact with her than I do with Rein or Ramatra.
Free game, make an alt and only play jq. Im a genji/pharah main, but on my alt i only play echo/hanzo cause i wanna get good at those characters

One tricking on alt accounts doesn't ruin any part of the game. Unless someone tells you they're a one trick or has a public profile, you literally would never know.

@@harrycallaghan6488 it's all my mon-mains on my alt account. So for example, Zen/Brig are my main supps that took me to master 1.
I love playing kirk/Lucio but I'm only diamond with them and I love ana but I'm only plat with her. I slowly was able to rotate kiri into my main rotation though.
Or for tanks, I play flexible and counter tank a lot to be competitive, but my alt account is Doom-only.
I think Junker Queen's kit just naturally does well in maps with tight hallways and generally short engagement ranges. The area around the first cap point case in point.
When it comes to cooking Gordon is an absolute expert at roasting literally anyone for the flaws in their approach to it

Go to 2:43. This is the difference between high elo and low elo. He notices he has low ground, teammates not ready for the fight, Junker queen flanking, and kitsune and just leaves. Doesn’t waste time trying to win a fight where you have all the disadvantages
Idk how consistent it is because I’ve only done it a couple times. But if you’re using the cart as cover and they push you. You can use your ult on the cart, it doesn’t throw you so far and still applies the bleed to the people around you

recently i’ve been playing a lot more JQ as i love playing brawlers (sym and brig are my current mains) and seeing a great JQ makes me happy as she has so much potential

Junker queen is a neat tank because she doesnt tank damage for your team well and she's really offensive so instead of being a traditional tank she's pretty much a strong close range dps with some sustainability and more hp
the enemy team must of had a hell of a time watching flats dive the fuck out of them while out playing their junker queen

Yeah honestly her whole kit is fire if you’ve got mechanics and/or game sense, but I especially like how I can save teammates with commanding shout. There’s always gonna be someone who overextends or tries to ult the whole enemy team, a well timed commanding shout can buy them time to survive which can turn a fight.
The skill difference between me and flats is honestly fun to watch. It shows me some of the things I need to be able to do to advance.
I was thinking "I'm finally high enough rank to potentially que with Flats and then I realized I only play tank.
JQ will shred through squishies up close, but if the enemy tank is better in close range than her she gets shut down. Hog, ramm, orisa and rein will ruin her if everything else is equal between the two teams (dive tanks can ignore her somewhat too since she has minimal mobility) and she has to rely on her team to pick up the slack if it's a bad tank matchup for her. In soloq you can't expect that from your teammates. Some games on JQ you win harder than you would with any other tank, but for other games you either have to switch or you just lose, with there being even less you can do on JQ to carry the game yourself. It's basically a question of if your teammates can deal with the tank so you can kill everyone else, or if everyone can just ignore the tank and dive the backline together. If your team can't deal with the enemy tank? You will never beat the close range brawl tanks by your own efforts. The best you can do is set up your DPS or supports for success. (you can definitely help with taking out a tank and you can deal decent damage during a fight but the point is you cannot win a tank duel without someone else helping you).
She can't be buffed much because then she's flat out unbeatable when a tank isn't there or isn't good enough to stop you, but she also can't by herself win equal tank duels. She would be the perfect off-tank in OW1, and because of that, she's a beefy DPS. She doesn't fit what a tank has to be in OW2.
Maybe give her 7 shots with her scattergun instead of 6? It'll still be the worst shotgun in the game by a large margin but at least it won't have the same ammo count as hog's scrap gun (which is already better in every metric to JQ's gun).
Mauga also sucks to fight against without assistance. If he or orisa are pocketed, you are screwed usually. It sucks. Otherwise fun stuff
Love playing JQ. Yesterday I got a 5k PotG with her ult, felt so good. Also yes, this character definitely slept on.

Junker Queen is slept on b/c she has no shield and her yell has a relatively long cd. She, as of now, among all levels of play, falls in that weird category of "they're only good if you're good with them". Now, I can see this category being not so much of a thing for higher ranks, but I'd argue for low plat and below it 100% exists as there are characters with relatively high skill ceilings when compared with other characters. For instance, in lower level play, you see TONS of Junkrat and Moira b/c the two characters are relatively easy to pick up and play as. On the other hand in low level play, you see like almost no Balls and no Genjis, as they are moderately complex characters that are hard to learn, thus only those who have been playing them and have "mastered" them for their current ranking are playing them. In low level/average play, you don't need a good Junkrat or Moira to win, just one that understand the basics of "I hold down left click (and occasionally right click for moira)" and boom, you're winning most games. Ball and Genji though, even with the buffs to Ball, people have a hard time playing with a tank that has that much mobility, and a bad genji will out right lose you a game. Junker Queen falls under that category because she's a tank that needs to play within rules of sightlines due to the lack of a shield, and you really need to be careful of when you yell, cleave, and throw your knife. Just wait until more people get gud with her.

People always doubt when I go JQ but so far this season I've climbed to master 4 with a 60% winrate over 100 matches

Just started playing jq so fun just cycling between her and doom is so fun
Watching pros play Overwatch makes me realize that even if your pro, you will still miss and make mistakes.
Playing junkerqueen feels like being on adderall
I started this season out with playing nothing but Junker Queen. Basically I've been one tricking her, and while my team bemoans it at times, I'm not switching personally. I know, I'm evil, but I'm having fun and my rank isn't high so really we're all just bad anyways. :) Overall, she's a great character, and I think she's the most fun next to Doomfist to play as. When we're winning, I'm getting almost the most eliminations or second in my team.
I mostly play her as a flanking tank, if I can, and on attack, she's quite oppressive. I find my way around to the squishies, and with shout, E, and a shotgun melee, you can generally kill them quickly enough, or if you can throw a dagger and land it, pull them to you and shotgun + melee or E them when they fly towards you. Either way, I'm having fun with her because when we're winning, it is basically because JQ is killing the enemy team. Not to discredit the damage roles, but basically she is the impact pick when she's working, and when your team is suffering, she's probably also the reason.
Come on though. It’s not fair to the team to refuse to switch when you’re getting outplayed. It happens to everyone and it doesn’t mean you’re bad, it just means the team needs a different hero choice to succeed.

Jq is the best tank to carry a team, i've been otping her for like 40hrs, and went from gold 1 to diamond 5 by ripping and tearing my way through the enemies

Junker Queen is my own favourite as tank. As a Support I play always Zenyatta and love it because Awkward and his tutoring and as Damage I play Soldier again because Awkward. He teached me from his Uneducated to GM a lot of shit about overwatched and ins and outs.
I can't check pc leaderboards but rn for console ball is dominant but JQ is seen quite a bit as the 2nd or 3rd most played.
I'm so bad at this game. I can do ok if not good in regular roll que. But the minute I go competitive my whole team gets walked on without a single kill.

All I've gathered from this video is that Junker Queen is actually good ... When they just don't shoot back at her, or when you have healers. Neither of which has ever happened in the history of ever down in my lowly silver 3 lol

The trick is to play to live. Always be near cover so you can land your bleed attacks (axe melee and throwing knife) and take cover while you heal and they bleed.
JQ, lucio, doomfist and a few others take skill to learn and play! hog, orisa, ram, moira, junkrat are almost zero skill and can fit into any map
