I love your project & it lit a fire for me, so I bought a RS125 chassis! My first real bike was the RS125, and though I was young I kept it for a long time & spent all my time/money upgrading it. But I made many bad mistakes tuning it. Now I've more experience and can build bikes. I don't know what I will do with the chassis, the reverse chain drive is a challenge. Maybe an EV? I miss that bike so much - it handled so well. Nothing compares to it in the corners & I remember it was very accurate in braking, maybe because of the low weight. Very, very cool project and I love to watch. Incredible to see what you do with this bike.
The aluminium wont stay shiny because it forms an oxide layer which protects it but looks dull. Great job on the hole repair. Using a jig was very smart.
