- Combining an OTA TV antenna signal with an Free-to-Air satellite TV signal into a single coaxial cable. A satellite/antenna combiner coupler diplexer- the proper way to combine TV Antenna and Satellite Dish signals into one single coaxial cable. Great solution if only one coaxial cable run into a building exists and it’s not possible to run another. Remember you need 2 combiners to make this work; one for outside to combine the signals, and one for the inside to split the signals up afterwards.

You also can contrive to have the supply for running the over the air preamp as its own power connection "outside".
A case might be that the runs to the garage or the basement is easy but getting the cable from there to the livingroom is hard.
Not many will find this idea useful but someone might.
How would you suggest running the preamp power supply in this case?
@@NorthcoasterHobby Most garages and basements have power outlets. The power adapter thing can be plugged in there.

The combiner in the video does not DC power pass on the antenna side.

The single cable runs from the garage to the living room. This is the one that is hard to change.
Two cables come down from the roof into the garage.
The satellite/antenna combiner is in the garage.
The satellite coax connects directly to the "SAT" plug on it and goes to the roof.
On the "ANT" side, there is a short coax that goes to the TV antenna amplifier power inserter.
A coax from there goes up to the antenna preamp that is on the roof.
The inserter gets its power in the garage.

Great video, and this is why I like diplexers, only one cable goes into your house. In my case I also combined Cable TV (Cable Internet) with Satellite TV and works excellent! But it's either Antenna with Satellite or Cable TV with Satellite.
There are also multiplexers there are diplexers with 3 inputs and 2 ouputs, two inputs are for LNB, one input is for Antenna/Cable and the two outputs have both signal combined. There are multiplexers with 5 inputs and 2 ouputs. 4 inputs are for LNB, one input is for antenna and the 4 outputs have both signals combined. But at each ouput you still need diplexers if you want to have both satellite and antenna/cable signal.
There are diplexors that allows a max 12 Volt for antenna if you want to install an antenna with an preamp.
I plan on making a video about the 3 x 4 multi switch that allows for combining horizontal and vertical polarities as well as an over the air antenna input as well. I’d like to find one of those diplexers that allows for 12 V DC out on the antenna side, that would be a great addition to a system that has a TV antenna with a preamp and you’d still be able to control polarity on your satellite dish as well.
@@NorthcoasterHobby In Europe there is an Electronic Store called DIPOL that also sells satellite dishes and antennas beside home security and internet equipmment.
The only diplexer that allows 12 Volts on Antenna is the polish diplexer AMS Zwrotnika RS-02Ms DCTV for outdoor.
For Indoor you install AMS Zwrotnica RS-01 HsDCtv
But only DIPOL sells those diplexers.

Yes it will work with no problems. I also have a motor connected to my diplexors.

But this would work better in countries with DVB-T/T2 standard, right?

I’m sorry you’re having trouble with your C-band dish. As I told you before -your best bet is to get a new digital receiver and run new coaxial cable to it. You can still still tune the dish manually with a wrench, unless you’re willing to buy a dish mover as well to move the actuator. as far as the wiring that’s not something I can specifically help you with right now.
@@NorthcoasterHobby cant i rip the old wire out from the lnb and put new coax bsd news is the old wire is going into the wire in the back of the rod do i tape it or soloer it
@@CrazyLuigiBros123 I already told you that you could run new coaxial cable to the LNB. If the wires are still connected to the actuator (the rod) then they can be connected to a dish mover. Or you can leave those disconnected and adjust the dish manually with a wrench.
What kind of satellite receiver do you?

@@CrazyLuigiBros123 Core Innovation- that is an over the air digital TV box- it’s supposed to be used with a TV antenna.
I used a diplexer/combiner when i added another antenna panel therefore i have a main 2 into 1 combiner with 1 panel on one side and 2 panels combined into the other side. Not sure if this does much but it seems to work.
