- Using Harbor Freight 4 1/2" Carbide Cup Wheel to carve a piano stool seat. Not just a package open review but I actually use the wheel (part #66613) so you can see how it performs.

Works for me! Sounds like a great idea especially if it’s the kind of carving you only do occasionally. 👍
Wish I watched this before buying. Watching it now. Thanks for the video
I used one for grinding a few bowls out of firewood, it worked great, and for $10 you can't find a better bargain.
Nice. Tried a grinder on wood before, but it didn't work too well using regular metal grinding disc. Will have to grab one of these next time I'm at the Freight! 😁👍🏻
Nice stool too!
dang good review, real quick
Sometimes the no name stuff you get more for less. Thank you for your input and recommendation on that. Happy new year
Happy New Year Frank. Heres to Many Happy projects in 2020 👍
Appreciate the review.
I got one of these about three years ago. It works just as well today as the day I got it. Yes it is 24 grit. It leaves deep crevices. You have to work them out with 60-grit, 80-grit, 100-grit and finish off with 200 or just a little higher if you want your wood project to look presentable. However, I wish Harbor Freight would offer a finer grit steel carving wheel. I know there are other brands out there but $60 and over for a carving wheel? There has to be something more affordable. Please let me know of where I can get a fine grit steel carving wheel for lets say around $25 or $30.
I used mine for carving bowls, got about ten decent size bowls out of that $10 part. You can't beat it for economy.
I got one today workers very well Thank you for the information
You Bet!
almost got that thumb!
I bought this wheel today, I hope that will do the job, carving some wood materials.
Just bought one today and want to try to make a wooden bowl.
Good Luck! Let me know how it turns out.
@@AlleyPicked hey thanks for the review and demo I'm trying to make milking stools and need something to short work my legs with.
These get used a fair bit alongside chainsaw log carving for a bit more detailed work..
I always wanted to try log carving. Someday I will try it.
Alley Picked.. give it a go Sir, I bet you’ll be great at it.
Man, at 1:35 don't do that again. Clamp the piece down and keep your hands well away from the tool. If you are going to do that get some heavy duty gloves.
Point taken but prior to that when I was removing alot of material it was under a clamp. At the end I was doing very light touch up and was not worried about it shooting away on me. Always better to be safe than sorry. Thanks!

If you want better control, put the @#$%^& handle on it and use the tool properly!
