- Nach über 30 Jahren Stillstand konnten wir im April 2013 die unter Denkmalschutz stehende Dampfmaschine der Senf- und Essigfabrik Leman in Eystrup www.leman-feinkost.de/ wieder in Betrieb nehmen.
Das Video zeigt den Ablauf der Inbetriebnahme vom Vorheizen bis zum Betrieb.
Die Dampfmaschine kann besichtigt werden.

After more than 30 years of standstill, we were able to put the steam engine of the mustard and vinegar factory Leman in Eystrup www.leman-feinkost.de/ back into operation in April 2013.

As a small boy I loved going through the power generating station in our small town. Built in the twenties, it was well maintained and the Nordberg engines were reliable. However, most of the men who worked there were deaf as posts from the noise.
Basically every factory I ever worked at. 98% of the workers were deaf with the exception of me who was practically the only worker who properly wore his earplugs.

Ich liebe diese alten Maschinen.
Kein Vergleich zu dem was heute auf dem Markt ist.
Ich kann mir beim besten Willen nicht vorstellen das auch nur eine Maschine aus der heutigen Zeit ansatzweise an das Alter der Maschinen von damals heranreichen könnte.
Du vergisst bei der Sichtweise die ganzen anderen alten Maschinen, die kaputt gegangen sind und um die sich keiner gekümmert hat. Ich behaupte Mal, dass heutige Maschinen weit zuverlässiger sind. Davon, dass sie weit besser in dem sind, was sie tun sollen, mal ganz zu schweigen.
Keine Frage, solche Maschinen immer noch werken zu sehen, ist beeindruckend und wenn ich etwas ähnliches bei mir in der Gegend hätte würde ich das wahrscheinlich mehrfach ansehen. Aber sentimentales "früher war es besser" ist hier fehl am Platz.
Damals hat man auch noch viel robuster gebaut. Heute wird Material gespart, wo es möglich ist.
L3 P3 Auch früher musste man, gerade wenn mal wieder Krieg war, sparsam mit den Materialien sein. Vor allem bei Stahl und Eisen ...
früher mussten Maschinen auch nicht so starken Kräften standhalten wie heute. Diese Belastung wirkt sich auf die Lebensdauer aus
Alten Maschine sind langlebiger
Ist bei Autos oder Landwirtschaftliche Maschinen genau so

Heute mit dem elektronischen kram gibt's nur noch Fehlermeldungen .

Funtamentaly my family is a mechanical family. My father & my chithappa were also known mechanics. Old is always GOLD. While watching this machines vedios my life in 1970 to 1990 is running before my eyes. Those days will not come again. Krishnamoorthy Velachery.

Randy Bingham I served my apprenticeship on this kind of machinery 60 years ago. Later on, strangely, I worked on a 500 Te flywheel in nuclear fusion, talk about contrary, they couldn’t carry out the experiment without 100 year old tech?

Es ist ja schön das man den Ablauf der Tätigkeiten zeigt die man machen muss um die Maschine in Betrieb zu nehmen aber noch besser wäre es dazu auch das Ganze zu Erklären. Das Ding läuft aber man kann sich nicht vorstellen wie so.

Danke! Toll und super nachvollziehbar erklärt und vom gefürchteten 'Wasserschlag' habe ich schon mal gehört (ich bin eher bei Computern zu Hause und da hat Wasser auch nichts zu suchen ;-)).
Der Zeitbedarf ist ja immens und benötigt schon Sorgfalt, um Schaden und Verschleiß zu mindern.

Anheizen, Entwässerungshähne öffnen, Zylinder mit Schwungrad etwas über den Totpunkt drehen, Entwässerungshähne schliessen und Dampfhahn aufdrehen, Maschine startet. Relativ einfache Technik.

Alleine die Fliehkraft-Schmierung bei 4:56 Genial wie auch Simpel (Das Öl läuft durch die beiden Kupferleitungen in den Ring der eine Bohrung hat bei den Arm (Hohl von innen) durch diesem das Öl an die sich drehenden Schmierstelle kommt. Alles ohne Wellendichtring und Drehdurchführung!
Great insight into the build just subscribed and it’s a nice compact turbine I also have built a homemade 650 watts wind turbine, a treadmill motor turbine and a little but powerful ametek 30v turbine and built 2 diy solar panels, be careful in high winds one of my first turbines blew up 😕and now have only 2 wonderful turbines working daily 😊it’s very satisfying watching those things working, keep up the good work buddy 👍
