Replace the bolt with a stud that is just long enough and use a nut with lock washer on the lower left hole. Install that one first as you lower the muffler on to install.
You have me wanting a 562 now. Just added a WCS Universal Muffler Port and Red Beard Saw filter to my MS261 C-M, it made a pretty big difference, I think all of my chainsaws from now on will get a muffler mod.
I have a 550 MK 2. Would I do the mm the same as you did this 562? Thank you. Also, what are you feeling for when you hold your hand out infront of the exhaust? Thank you.
Yea the muffler mods on the 550 and 562 are practically the same process and when i hold my hand in front just feeling how much more air comes out of exhaust and the manner it come out is pretty steady air or does it pop more some pipes it feels steady and some it feels like a cam sounds in a car if that makes sense
It does. Thank you very much for the info. There’s not much at all on here regarding the 550 muffler mod. I have an aftermarket one coming from traverse creek that I’ll braise up with dual outlets though with smaller diameter then yours.

There pretty nice little saws for sure and the muffler mods most definitely help out

What if you cut the pipe shorter or at an angle where you can get that bolt in there?
I probably could do that and i may end up doing i came real close to hacking it off
