One of the most underrated animation work.. This is the first time I can really see the expressions in the face of the animated characters and most realistic talking animals which didn't look artificial or awkward.
Sir Goose nevermind you said the movements were really realistic. In the jungle book the animals look more real than in this one cause the lions look a little bit fake. The tiger in the jungle book looks fake too, but his ear moves like an actual tiger which is crazy
i have to agree that looks very realistic, but i dont know why Aslan can express more emotions and it feels more "alive" than a lot of the characters in the lion king
Mostly they wanted to portray as close to nature as possible, animals tend to express themselves through body language and in the remake you can tell that. In nature a lion smiling for example actually is a sign of hostility, so it wouldn't be accurate for the remake that wanted to try animating the lions like real life animals.
@@Wolf-Chalk the problem is that body language doesnt works as they tought, in fact, reminds me to those old movies where they add a moving mouth to real life animals, as a movie they have to show emotions, as in the mufasa death I agree in that they look very realistic and that is a great achievement for the studio.
How much effort and time was taken seriously it's amazing MPC is great in making photorealistic natural environment and animals seriously it's great best of luck for future projects 👍
Everyone hates the new lion king remake. I guess it's because none of the characters look like the original but I hope they realize the remake is going for more realism in lions instead of cartoony
I'm wondering if "Ziva FX" was used in Maya to create deformities and muscle jiggles to sell the weight and on these animations. Wasn't a fan of the film, but the animations on these creatures were magnificent. Props to all the animators who worked really hard on the film. I applaud you guys!
Seeing these detailed lion models have rigging pieces amazes me :0 I have rigged a wolf recently and I can tell you, it’s a lot of work and can be difficult. Seeing how well they rigged Scar and Simba is astonishing!! So fluid and life like 😶
It is a shame that while everyone was hating the movie no one gave respect to the modeling artists. They did a great job, even though it hasn't any mimic like the original movie had. I guess those people deserved more respect.
And of course, there are many stupid people who are still complaining about the animation being rigged without details they have zero ideas on how hard it's to make these rigs & animations, But for me it was extremely acceptable to the point where you can't even tell if it's real or not they really did a good job!
i have been wondering... how do you get high quality animal skin textures? Do you walk up to a lion and ask him nicely to stand still for a few minutes while you photo scan it
Imagine what Jurassic World would’ve been like if the dinosaurs were animated by MPC instead of ILM regardless of animatronics. I bet they would have looked a lot more realistic.
I'm going to see it now since nobody wants to say it. one of the major reasons why this Lion King remake look so good visually is because of the background, unlike other movies which backgrounds are very very so unrealistic. background have a lot to do when it comes to vfx cgi characters
It’s a shame the movie wasn’t as good as its visuals. I think that using the same technology, a real documentary could be made, possibly about extinct animals, only being made to look as life like as this
Everyone is complaining that the animals in the remake have no facial expression , this video show that the models show movement , it's just that those expressions were never seen the light of day thanks to john favro
Weta´s Tissue evolved to be Ziva VFX which is comercially available so everybody has acces to it but it is common that big studios develope plenty of in house software. Ithink Houdini is also used sometimes for this purpose.
Even if we weren’t a fan of the remake . You gotta admit. The CGI and visuals are OUTSTANDING
100% yes!
No doubt, it's amazing how far CG has come since its inception.
Well i mean.......i'm a fan of it😅
