Technically speaking Quirrel is the only bug that has a solid chance of surviving being underwater for an extended period of time (Cuz he's a Pill Bug and Pill Bugs while not completely able to survive in water do have gills) so theoretically if he wanted he could just tackle people into the blue lake instead of ACTUALLY fighting them
He sounds like a kid going though puberty, like his voice was breaking on the first sentence. The animation was amazing, and hornet sounded just fine...but they could have been better on Quirrel's voice.
He does repeat more than once that he's been on his quest for so, so long. And his memory is also blurred, so he's definitely under a spell as a guardian and maybe failsafe for The Teacher.
How could you not love Quirrel? From the moment you meet him he's so chill, just like "Oh hey! You're exploring this place too? Cool, I hope I'll see you around :)"
