- In today's vlog we head to Fort Wilderness Resort at Walt Disney World to check out the Christmas light displays around the campgrounds. We rented a golf cart in advance and we picked it up and it was quick and easy about $65 for a 24 hour rental! We spent the night driving around the grounds on the search for people with lights displays and we found so many!! It was so cool! We met so many nice people, it was really fun! We loved this so much and we'll be back for future holiday things around the resort for sure! Thank you for watching and we'll see you tomorrow with a new vid!

I grew up RV camping with my grandparents and your Ft. Wilderness videos make me wish I could combine that favorite pastime with my love of Disney. What a fun thing to do outside of the actual Disney parks!

As some one who camps (and will be there in like 22 days yay!!) camping is pretty expensive depending on the type of RV you get, like motor homes can be very expensive but a pop up is kind of a midrange thing, it’s almost like a tent but you don’t sleep on the ground AND you only buy the decorations once (unless you want to change them yearly) and store them until it’s time to use again
This is awesome. Me and my wife were just at fort wilderness and the decorations were off the chain. I did a horrible vlog of the same Castle. We were staying at site 906. Great site. You can't beat fort wilderness

I heard about this sometime last fall. And we were going to be passing through Orlando right before the holiday. So I rented a cart. You have to rent these cards in advance because if you wait till the last minute they are all sold out. But we did this without knowing really how special it was... and it's probably ranks up among my favorite memories from Disney.

Disney practices the new year's midnight fireworks the night before. It's a cool way to get an extra chance to see them.

Umbrellas make great decorations 😂 This is such a fun “different” thing to do. Some of those sites are really beautifully decorated! Are these campsites that guests are decorating? Some are so involved! This is the reason why we love to watch your vlogs, all this stuff we don’t get to see on our short stays. Thanks for sharing guys!
Yes! This is all done by resort guests. None of these decorations are put up by Disney. I'm sure Disney is thrilled that they do it because it's just one more fantastic thing that you can do at the resort during the holidays. But no one is paid to do it. This is all guest designed, guest engineered, guests assembled, guest run. It's just an amazing thing to see!!

Yeah all guest I know that there at least used to be websites where you could chat with other people who were going to set up lights and then try to get a spot next to each other. It's pretty great

Dancing Snowman is scaring
So we were in WDW 11/30 to 12/16 and I wish I had thought of doing this!! We went on Backtrails Adventure Segway tour like we do every year and saw decorations during the day. Kicking myself for not thinking of renting golf cart at night to see all lit up!! Thanks Tim and Jen for being on top of it as usual!!
You should have marked off the cool sites you found and give the updated map back to the main office. There were certainly a lot of cool ones that others would like to know about too.
17:55 that’s a $900,000 Porsche Carrera GT, incredibly rare and so random seeing it in the Christmas display in Fort Wilderness’ campgrounds!
Car has a Formula1 engine and is one of the best sounding cars in the world! Would be awesome hearing that in the parade

Tim and Jen, My wife Sheila and I love watching a nice and family friendly couple have fun together. We rented a golf cart at Fort Wilderness on one of our Disney trips and forgot how much fun it was. It's back on our to do list now! We look forward to watching your next adventure.
We were on the Castle Loop last year and we had blow ups and a projection on the windshield of our RV, wouldn't even attempt to match that castle, its AWESOME!
My sister and I did that one year when we went in Dec to Disney World where we did the horse drawn carriage right and took us around and saw the lights, I loved it so much

Fort Wilderness is 750 acres you can pay a used golf cart we got ares for 1200, it came with the battery charger , and it has a rain in closer that goes all the way around.
Those displays were AMAZING ! Plus Jenn drove the golf cart. What fun.
Fort Wilderness is the best Disney Resort. You two can rent an RV and try it out before you buy with no commitment. Pop-up trailers are a great place to start in the RV world and can be pulled by many vehicles when set up properly. We started with a pop up and still miss it sometimes. We now have a travel trailer and we've been to Fort Wilderness a couple times with it.

People are so creative when it comes to Christmas! I LOVE IT
My sister and I did one of the horse carriage tours for Christmas time when we were there a few years ago. These are guests that stay. Many of them keep campers there year round then come from colder climates and stay for many months at a time, so it's home to them part of the year. These are the people who participate in the amazing decorations. I never thought about halloween, but next time we go over halloween we'll be going back for a carriage ride to check out those decorations.
That was my favorite video so far this month! I want to come down there just to go see that campground now!

Y'all have to go back right before Halloween. We were there this year for Halloween and it was amazing! We were one of the sites that had 2 little lights, but we had so much fun for 11 days at The Fort. There was one site that recreated the Haunted Mansion with people actually playing the parts on Halloween night. It was so good. Y'all could buy a tent and decorate a site. You don't have to buy an expensive RV to decorate a site there.
We will definitely be back for Halloween!

My Mom and me were there too in a cabin from Oct 22nd to Nov 5th. We were in cabin 2428 in the Settler's Bend loop. Did you see that Werewolf animtronic in the Possum Path loop?

@@bpressnell Yes there was a lot of Halloween Decorations to see over there. Every time I am down there. I wonder how I would be if I had lived in Orlando instead of up here in Pensacola. Well anyways a couple of questions. Did you get to ride on a Banshee while there? We might of even crossed paths at one of the theme parks. Also did you go to MNSSHP? My Mom and me went to MNSSHP on Oct 26th.

Some people come to the Fort and stay for a couple of months. And they have a trailer for all there things.
Wow I was looking at staying in Fort Wilderness over Halloween. But after seeing this I might just try to surprise my wife and daughter with a Christmas trip instead. Thank you guys for this Video

Loved this - saw FW at Christmas years ago, and it was awesome! We called what you're calling the Gravitron the Round Up, and it was one of my favorite rides at Rye, NY PlayLand.

Cant believe we missed you guys by a week. We stayed at fort wilderness cabin and absolutely loved all the decorations. Everyone decorated their carts too. I wish I knew before we went. I would have brought lights for the cabin and cart. We were also trying to figure out how they got all those decorations to the camp site.

Yes I went upside down on the gravaton many times. 😊 I heard people at the cabins decorate also. One day I hope to do the same and see it all. My dad bought a used golf cart. Way cheaper. I can’t get over how much the rentals are for one day and there are no deals if you rent them for longer.

I was SO EXCITED to see that yahs did this!! This was the first year I wasn't able to fly down to Florida and stay/visit with my sister and brother in law at the campground and see their site. It was great meeting you Thursday night in front of the Castle Display! We first camped at FW back in 1998 when campers would only put up a few strings of lights. It has steadily grown through the years to what you saw here. We have been at the campground for the Christmas season and Halloween every year since 1998. ~ Hope to run into you again sometime soon. Have a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!

Cold, but fun. If you want to do this closer to the actual holiday, get your golf cart reservation in there early enough! They do sell out, and last minute planners come in and bet or try to bribe cast members at the front desk. Seen it !
I was there camping across from the castle Tuesday-Friday.
