Hi Nate, We are so happy you visited the Wilderness resorts! We stayed at the Fort for Christmas week as few years ago, and it was such a magical vacation. The guests really go all out with their decorations. Wilderness lodge has such great tree! The parks were super crowded, but it didn't matter because we just soaked in the holiday experience and had an amazing time, including New Year's eve at Epcot. Which will be your park of choice for New Year's Eve this year? This video made us super happy! Thanks so much! P.S. Great ending by the fireplace.

If you had stayed on the bus that dropped you at the settlement, that is the same bus that continues on to Wilderness Lodge. I don't think this is advertised. We found out when we were staying there.

Last time we went to DisneyWorld we stayed here and took our camper. It was so nice after a busy day at the theme parks, just to come here and relax..If you like to camp and see LOTS of Christmas lights and decorations you need to plan a trip to James Island County Park.., Charleston, S.C.",The festival of lights.".You drive through the park and see amazing lights., you can ride a train, see Santa, roast marshmellows, lots too see and do. You need to come up here and check it out some day!!
We where there in early November at Wilderness Lodge, eat at Geyser Point, watched Magic Kingdom fireworks and the electric water pageant . We really enjoyed the place from the lobby to the outside, including the geyser.
Fun vlog Nate! So Many colorful golf carts! LOL Nice to see Jackie and Vincent in your vlog. Tell Vincent I'm a northerner and 40 degrees is cold but it is not freezing cold. lol The singalong was cool and nice meet and greet with Chip and Dale! lol

I stayed here around 1999 or something. It's still one of my favorite Disney resorts. I remember begging my family to take me to River Country and they said absolutely not. Then it closed the next year. 😂

You can also take a bus directly from the lodge to Fort Wilderness. It drops you off right at the Hoop-de-doo bus stop.
