I always thought Caleb couldn't actually sing this live. But I went and saw KOL. They played it and Caleb can definitely sing it. He can sing the living shit out of it. Thought folks might like to know that.
@@copsonsafe Jared Followill is a really underrated, fantastic bassist. He walks a perfect balance of writing interesting, melodic bass lines that move the song forward without making them really annoying and busy
First time I listened to this song I wasn't a fan of it, But damn does it ever grow on you. I felt totally compelled to listen to it again after my first time and have enjoyed it ever since.
This song stands apart from the rest of theirs I think. They all have a unique sound, but especially this one. You can tell its Kings of Leon, but its also different from most of their other stuff!
Todd Audio I believe the avett brothers have a song that is of equal status in regards to their music, it's ironically similar to this song in ways but with acoustic instrumentation, which is funny because avett bros. have been called the unplugged kol. the song is colorshow by avett bros. I like it and if someone digs this, then it ain't too much of a stretch musically. in all their music there is nothing remotely similar to colorshow.
I love how Caleb incorporates his scream into the lyrics lol man their older shit was soooo good. I've seen them twice live and was the best shows I've ever been too.
+Abisek Basnyat holy shit same. i was like "wtf is this screaming" and then i listened to it again and it all falls together so well SHES SUCH A CHARMER OH NO
Abhishek Basnyat This album is 💯 from beginning to end. And I definitely related to this song because of the thirsty broads at my job...😄 In your mind you really do scream like that! 🍻
I loved it instantly, but this was my 3rd KOL album, thought it was the coolest when he used to do weird shit like this with his voice, he doesn't anymore tho, this was his last good album and his last good single, they sold out unfortunately, not that you can really blame them, most of America couldn't give a shit when they were actually writing artistic original stuff like this.
Uma das minhas favoritas.. Depois de anos, ainda venho ver o clipe, sinto a mesma sensação como da 1ª vez que me encantei, totalmente vibrante, haha. Eles são f*das!
Just wondered if this was a release of a song from Caleb singing from his youth... It'd be fab to hear the teenage years of the "WOW" part during his voice-breaking time
This Song made made me a fan of this band. I heard it first when Sex on Fire and Use Somebody were allready on airplay and I thought Id never dig their stuff... Today they are one of my top bands! Saw them live just a few weeks ago in cologne - the new record finally is a good one again and they still have it! 🔥❤️🤌
@@edwardteach6560 This tune occasionally reminds me of both Head South and Bury Me With It. The two songs where Isaac really bursts his throat while singing. I really wish he did more throaty songs like those, in Head South he is almost Kurt Cobain and in Bury Me With It he's just a demented angel!
i never realized how much caleb looked like leonardo dicaprio. the amount of emotion he shows in the video tells me he could be just as good of an actor. obviously he wrote the song which might explain the emotion but goddamn this is a sick video, one of their best hands down
Never doubt kings of leons they sound better live then there songs but regardless are always amazing... I've been to two shows and I'm working for my 3rd
Dude, Kings Of Leon is just Out of control, I have gone to festivals that are mind-blowing. I have concerts over and over. I went to date Matthew shows in his hometown(VirginiaBeach). Nothing compares to a king's of leon concert. If you want pure quality, they might be the best live band I have ever heard.
A song like this is for the real music fans. Sex on Fire is for the zombie consumers who answer "Everything" when u ask them what kind of music they like. Before you'd show up at a KOL show n meet the coolest motherfuckers in your city, now you mostly just meet dummies you wanna punch, and have to search out people who look just as annoyed as you to find a decent conversation. This was their last great single on their last great album. KOL is a shadow of what it was.
As someone who loves RnB and Hip Hop. You know a song or band is good when I'm inadvertently saying out aloud "She's always looking at me" because a song is so damn good.
Still listening in the disastrously year of 2020 and I shall continue to listen in the decades to come. So, for those asking if Im still listening in a year that exists.... yes I am, and I shall continue to listen til the day I die
First time I heard this song I laughed at it. Now, I can't get enough of it!! And then I check out the music video and discover how hot Caleb was in 2007. Hot damn. Such a Charmer!!!!!!
This music video was my introduction to KoL. I must have been 14 at the time. Lying on the carpet watching MTV for some reason late at night. As soon as this came on, I sat up and was blown away!! Couldn't get up fast enough to watch it again on UA-cam! LOL
I think is the best song they've ever done and so refreshing that a band instead of being the business for a long time become more tame, commercial, and boring~ instead they have found a more raw sound like an unleashed sonic beast! LOVE it !
I used to put this on the jukebox in my local pub and people used to moan and tell me how bad my taste was. Then sex on fire came out and they were the best band ever
I always thought Caleb couldn't actually sing this live. But I went and saw KOL. They played it and Caleb can definitely sing it. He can sing the living shit out of it. Thought folks might like to know that.
Best band I've seen live
I could do it too. And that was it for the night.
And for the next few days after it.
Yes I really did like to know that THANK YOU 😭this is amazing
I did wonder as it sounds like it could end in a sore throat!
oh yes i was blessed to hear it live, had to shove a few sorority bitches out the way. so worth it
That voice, that bass, that drummer, That guitar though!! Seriously. My favorite band.
the telephone!
It’s really that hollow body
This and king of the rodeo have this unmatched weirdo energy that I can’t help but to completely love.
i’ve been thinking this for yearssss
I still maintain that Because of the times is their best album.
Yes it is!!!!
True! And the last KOL album worth listening.

First time I heard this song my reaction to his scream was pretty much his scream
Haha. :)
