Loving this show. Regular Dedicated GLC discussion that isn't buried in a Discord server is what the format needed (in addition to an online client). You guys mentioned Fire needs another hard hitting Basic. I've really enjoyed Turtanator in my Fire deck. With Charizard out, he's an unconditional 150 for 2 energy that discards 1 energy (because Charizard). It's not great in the early game, but once you've got Charizard setup it's a good attacker without needing to play a recovery card.
It was a good meta call though and you did just get your dark badge with it. Not having played against the hitmons before is rough when you see them in a tourney for the first time.
I can identify with the statement of GLC community being full of brewers and not having as much fun with decks that feel solved. Though there were some stakes, having a low barrier to entry I think makes one more willing to take a risk and see how far a pet deck can go.
I think if Fairy is as weak and unplayed as it seems to be, then theres no downside of keeping it in the game - It lets people who still want to play it for whatever reason do so, and those who don't lose nothing. Let people enjoy what they want! 🧚♀️ Great video as always lads
Agreed. The only harm I see to keeping it in is that if people try to play Fairy as their first type they might leave the format all together. I don’t see this being the case in most instances, I would just love people to try out some of the more consistent decks first to gain a proper understanding of the format before the dive into the fairy fun.
@@allaboutthatbaischI think with it not being mentioned on the GLC website, most wouldn't know of its existance until looking into it further, so I think it should be fine personally, but I do see your concerns. I just know if I couldn't play fairy anymore, would just suck for my all reverse holo fairt deck 😂 So I'm a tad biased!
Play those Fairys with pride! Your point about it not being mentioned on the GLC website is 100% correct. It's hard to balance the "responsibility" of wanting to talk about fairy and warning people that it's not getting support. Personally on team Fairy (non-control builds). Just want people to know the risks and that's why my commentary will lean a bit toward that view point.
I wish you made the images of the decklists a little bit larger to make them easier to see. I might not have noticed as much if you had no images abd it was just your faces. But you reserved half of the screen for pictures and then didnt use alot of that space.
I love the GLC content. I’m not a fan of discord. I have a long drive into work and these long form GLC podcasts you are doing are fantastic. I have built a deck for every type and I am in the process of building fairy just to have it if friends want to try ( with a fair warning ) I’m not a fan of banning it. Let people play it. It’s also the ultimate brag if you bet someone with it. Lol Could you do a video on setting up for webcam play?
Could you give me more specifics about what you would be looking for in a video about setting up for webcam play? It’s not something I’m super knowledgeable about as I only have real experience with the webcams that I’ve been using. Not say that I can’t learn how to set up with other tools though.
@@allaboutthatbaisch more of like equipment you use, the best camera angles. How to find matches for both casual and competitive play. I get to play very rarely in person but not sure where to begin to play with a webcam.

Fair point. Having spent nothing, nothing was risked. I wonder if a play to pay tournament would yield different results.
