Her brother is still alive after one year in space, also how did he not go insane? Not just food and water and a bathroom. I guess he was given rejuvenation.
He did go insane in Head-On (which is seen as the true sequel to TM2) and tried to kill Calypso, but Jamie tried to stop him and got into an argument with him which accidently resulted in him making a wish that she would keep her mouth shut... literally.
