This movie is a satire in general of the legend of Robin Hood but it definitely focuses on the Disney, Kevin Costner, and Errol Flynn versions. Glad you enjoyed it! This was my favorite Robin Hood movie growing up!

I'd love for someone to react to Dracula Dead and Loving It. Not the classic Young Frankenstein and Blazing Saddles was, but I think its Mel Brooks' most under appreciated film and I've always had a soft spot for it.

Adding a Saracen to the Merry men was first done in my favourite adaptation in the 1984 ITV Robin of Sherwood with a trend that began with Nasir. First time watching your channel of reactions and I am very pleased with your rendition. This is probably the fifth reaction to Robin Hood: Men in Tights I've seen and it was by far the best because you let portions of the movie run through the jokes while others would edit them out. You did have some edits that did stop some jokes but again you did better than most. I understand the copyright length, but some people don't use the full amount of time to show. To me 1993 seems comparatively recent but that's from the perspective of being 53 years old myself. To me, the movies that seem old are like say, the original Robin Hood with Errol Flynn and Olivia DeHaviland from 1939 or Frankenstein, Dracula, etc from 1931. Not that I don't love them, I do. The age of a film really has no meaning to me as the movies I like just seem "timeless". I'd like to see your reaction to Dracula: Dead And Lovig It! Your voice sounded so familiar to me and it dawned on me why. Have you ever seen the Mummy with Brendan Fraser? Your voice sounds like Rachel Weisz's character "Evelyn Carnahan" from that film. I think I could listen to your reactions all day, lol.
If you liked Mark Blankfield, the actor who played Blinken here, he also plays a small role in Dracula: Dead and Loving It and he stars in an early 1980s comedic take on Dr. Jeckyll and Mr. Hyde called "Jeckyll and Hyde: Together Again" (though that one has a lot of jokes in it that would be considered dark today)
Great reaction! You definitely need to cycle through the big Mel Brooks films (blazing saddles, space balls, young frankenstein, and history of the world part 1). I also recommend going back to Naked Gun 2 1/2 and 33 1/3 if you run out of suggestions (which I doubt you will).
Why do people forget about Mel Brooks, High Anxiety. It's 10 times better than Robin Hood, Men in Tights, History of the World, and Dracula, Dead and Loving it. A loving homage to Alfred Hitchcock movies with a stellar cast of comedic actors, Madeleine Kahn, Cloris Leachman, and Harvey Korman along with Mel Brooks. In my opinion, Brooks's best 5 films in order are 1. Young Frankenstein 2. Blazing Saddles. 3. High Anxiety. 4. Silent Movie. 5. Spaceballs.
Movie recommendation: Richard Linklater's "Before Sunrise," Mel Brook's "Young Frankenstein." Music video recommendation: "Unchained Melody" by the Righteous Brothers. It's only performed by one of them, Bobby Hatfield. Watch the 1965 live performance, you will not be disappointed.
Hi new subscriber here and it's great to find a fellow Brit who reacts I've not found many on here, anyway really enjoyed this reaction saw this film when it first came out very funny film, if you didn't know Cary Elwes who played Robin is English which is why his accent was so good, anyway as for film recommendations it depends what you want to watch do you want Sci-Fi horror films like ones from the Alien or Predator franchise or just Sci-Fi films like Star Wars original trilogy and original Star Trek films, or maybe a psychological thriller like Silence of the Lambs or stick with comedies like the Naked Gun films, but it's your channel and your choice.
If you like funny Robin Hood adaptations, you need to go see the play "Marian, or the True Tale of Robin Hood" if you get the chance. It's absolutely hilarious (Robin Hood and Lady Marian are the same person. Need I say more?).

If you liked Mark Blankfield, the actor who played Blinken here, he also plays a small role in Dracula: Dead and Loving It and he stars in an early 1980s comedic take on Dr. Jeckyll and Mr. Hyde called "Jeckyll and Hyde: Together Again" (though that one has a lot of jokes in it that would be considered dark today)
At the beginning of the movie, Robin was in Jerusalem because he was fighting in the Crusades.
You most definitely need to see Young Frankenstein. It’s a masterpiece of comedy.

Great reaction! You definitely need to cycle through the big Mel Brooks films (blazing saddles, space balls, young frankenstein, and history of the world part 1). I also recommend going back to Naked Gun 2 1/2 and 33 1/3 if you run out of suggestions (which I doubt you will).

Why do people forget about Mel Brooks, High Anxiety. It's 10 times better than Robin Hood, Men in Tights, History of the World, and Dracula, Dead and Loving it. A loving homage to Alfred Hitchcock movies with a stellar cast of comedic actors, Madeleine Kahn, Cloris Leachman, and Harvey Korman along with Mel Brooks. In my opinion, Brooks's best 5 films in order are 1. Young Frankenstein 2. Blazing Saddles. 3. High Anxiety. 4. Silent Movie. 5. Spaceballs.

Hi new subscriber here and it's great to find a fellow Brit who reacts I've not found many on here, anyway really enjoyed this reaction saw this film when it first came out very funny film, if you didn't know Cary Elwes who played Robin is English which is why his accent was so good, anyway as for film recommendations it depends what you want to watch do you want Sci-Fi horror films like ones from the Alien or Predator franchise or just Sci-Fi films like Star Wars original trilogy and original Star Trek films, or maybe a psychological thriller like Silence of the Lambs or stick with comedies like the Naked Gun films, but it's your channel and your choice.
If you like funny Robin Hood adaptations, you need to go see the play "Marian, or the True Tale of Robin Hood" if you get the chance. It's absolutely hilarious (Robin Hood and Lady Marian are the same person. Need I say more?).
