Love ittt as usual. It looks divine. The term for Mushrooms in Maltese is 'Faqqiegh' Steve. A lot of Maltese don't even know this but my Nanna told me many years ago :)

    Hi Steve
In an omelette you put what you like as you mentioned but I never forget grated cheese to it as an ingredient. Love my cheese. It must be the Dutch influence 😆

@@EnglishmaninMalta Mushrooms is correct. Everybody calls them mushrooms, so now that's a Maltese word. Remember, Maltese is like an omelette of languages. ;-)

Also bajd is plural and bajda is singular so you were actually right :) so we actually say 'froga tal- bajd' (eggs). But I love your efforts to try and share. Well done.

    THAT OMELETTE LOOKED VERY TASTY & FILLING STEVE 🍳 🍽 🍵 😋. PROSET 👏
They say 'you need eggs to make an omelette' , well Steve, you went beyond that to make a DELICIOUS "Breakfast Omelette". I make it the same way you did it but I add some grated cheddar cheese. (NO garlic or spices for brekky please 😌 🛑 ).
    FYI : BAJDA= 🥚, BAJD = 🥚🥚🥚x
    THANKS STEVE 🎥 👏 👏 👏 .
    Cheers 👍 🇲🇹 ♥ 🇪🇺 ™

Can’t beat an omelette Steve, I like mine with cheese, peppers, onion, tomato, mushrooms and a little bit of Palma ham 😋 and Maltese bread is something else! 🍞🤤 Looking forward to some when we are over in July. I have never had 'Froġa tat Bajd' before, the Maltese kind anyway. 'Froġa tat Bajd' does mean 'egg omelette' after all, and I have had plenty of 'egg omelettes'. It looks great, yet I have no idea what it's supposed to look like in any of the different Maltese ways to make it.
