This is a lot of fun! It brings back the memory of when my Grandma Julia volunteered at the Goodwill. She took care of their jewelry. She would bring bags of it home, and we’d help her sort through it and match earrings, etc. She’d repair pieces. I’m 65 now. It was a very long time ago but the memory stay strong. Thanks for that! ❤️
I'm a Thrift shop/Goodwill explorer and I've seen the jewelry jars but never purchased. You've completely changed my mind; Thank You. Great finds, you have. I'll most definately keep my eyes open......
Unlike others who greedily rummage thru jewelries only to see wether it’s silver or gold and disregards them as garbages if they are neither, you actually appreciate the pieces one by one.
True... I love charity shops and carboot sales and always looking for an interesting piece of jewellery. Few times I found gold, often silver and most commonly costume jewellery - I mean for next to nothing prices. But what an amazing costume jewellery !!! Antique or vintage, often beautifully handmade or enamelled, many rare pieces.... The sellers already know me and many of them think I'm mad. They often have no idea sometimes the 'cheap' costume pieces can command good price. One gentleman told me with pitying voice :'' that isn't gold'', he sold me antique pinchbeck brooches in good condition for £0.50 each.
When I was little girl I had a aunt that had a jewelry tree that had branches and had all this costume jewelry and she would let me play with it. I felt like a princess.
Speidel name bracelets were the basis of every 6th-grade romance when I was in school!!! I am 60 now...so the trend has probably changed a bit. LOLOLOLOL Boy oh boy were those bracelets passed around and sooooooooooo many tears shed. I have a very large smile on my face just remembering!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I am 66 and l still have mine! I didn't like the boy very much,so it is still in good condition .The broken heart, 8th grade for me with the Spiedel bracelets also if you wanted to buy one for the boy it cost a lot more.👫💕
My grandma had big boxes absolutely full of old jewelry. My mom and sisters and I would sit for hours pulling it all out. You'd have loved it....super vintage stuff and it was so fun 😁
We me & my sister's would always look through all my mom's jewelry and she would get mad.Mom said Everytime I open my jewelry box you want to look at the jewelry I've had since forever and nothing new,it's the same old stuff.lol
When I was ages 9/10 I had a next door neighbor named Edna, she was in her 70s and absolutely my best friend! We spent hours looking through all her jewelry, old photographs etc. We had a lot more hobbies like playing old maid. She was the best, I loved her like she was my own grandma. What a great friend I had at such a young age. She was a treasure!
I thoroughly enjoyed this video. Her presentation is quite fantastic! I am very happy for your special find and sharing it with me. So many of the comments posted by other viewers are simply rude. So do I! The traffic at rush hour here is awful anymore, so I sometimes listen to a Lucia video on my headphones at work before I leave for the day, and it relaxes me on my drive home.
Hi Lucia Lei, 🤗 I enjoy watching your channel. Re: All the Jewelry from Goodwill Jars/Vintage pieces & also John & Anita Jewelrys store. Monet 'clip' earrings have a very distinctive look and operation. I didn't have my ears pierced for a very long time and therefore loved Monet clips. They just sort of just push together but yet hold securely. They were the most comfortable clips to wear. I have noticed a couple of time when you missed them, thinking there was no mark. The mark is under the clip.
I find it sad to think that someone wore these things and loved them . I can picture them sitting at a vanity table getting dressed up to go out somewhere special . I hope that you can give some of these vintage pieces a second life .
I was just thinking about how the childhood jewelry box that I still own that hasn’t been changed since I was about 12 holds some of the things that I considered my prized possessions then. Looking back the whole thing is probably not worth $5 with everything in it but it meant so much to me then! It’s sad how people value things and then when they die their stuff doesn’t get the love it once had. Like imagine someone buying this stuff, picking it out special, and priding themselves in wearing it just for most people to consider it junk now. It’s sad. I think I hold too much attachment to inanimate objects lol I blame books like corduroy and movies like toy stories and even the Christmas song “Percy the puny poinsettia” lol
yes it is sad...there are states like in Florida ,where there are soo many retirees that ,so much jewelry and other things end up like it is nothing.Sometimes furniture comes with jewelry in it.

Wow stuff looks great!
Lucia, I am really enjoying watching you. I have a suggestion… the loop is supposed to go up at your eye to examine the piece not right at the piece. That is how the jewelers I am familiar with utilize the loop. Thank you for sharing!
This reminds me of my grandmother. She kept all her jewellery in a bin.
Some really pretty pieces. U got a good jar!
