Thanks for posting this! My kids have been asking about going to Gold Reef City, but I haven't been for years and didn't know if it was still decent and worthwhile.
Do you happen to know what the prices were? And were food and drink prices reasonable?
I have to say the place is still very clean and equipment maintained quite well. I think it’s about R195 if your over the length of 1,2m. Great adrenaline rush 😁. The food and drinks is the usual outgoing cost.

Is Gold Reef open on weekdays or only on weekends? How many weeks should I book in advance?
Hi Ndzalo, thanks for the comment. It’s probably open Friday-Sunday, I think during the weeks is mostly for schools and functions. You can book a week in advance. Hope it helps.

Yes you just pay for the entrance fee, then you can ride as much as you like 😁

Hi, when I went there a few months ago it was R165, just keep checking their website, there might even be some specials. 😁
