VLOG 38 - Gold Reef City is an amazing theme park in Johannesburg. We stayed there until they kicked us out and we would definitely go there again. What a way to deal with our fears and just be kids again 😊

I stay in benoni 30 minutes away from gold reef city
I was there today and tried to face my fear 😱 I did the anaconda, miners revenge, runaway train, jozi express, breakdancer and I PASSED OUT on the storm chaser. My favroite was the Josi express.

Hey Couple of Dreams, how did you guys take the videos on the rides, were you using a camera or smartphone?
Planning on taking my girlfriend there after lockdown😊
We had a GoPro strapped to our chest for the big rides as they won’t let you have something in your hand. For the smaller rides we just held it.

We went midweek in the off season, we were very lucky it was so quiet. 😊
Y’all didn’t go on the other rides like the golden loop and the ufo and miners revenge
We really wanted to go on Golden Loop but it wasn’t open that day 😢

It was closed unfortunately however it looked like fun. Next time 🤞
that's one is another killer.. yuuu
One thing about gold reefs theme park is that you must be there early and first ride you must go and que for is the anaconda or tower of terror because it closes very early and the lines get way to long on them
Very true, unless like us you go midweek in the off season and then it's quiet all day.
I make sure i ride annaconda twice its one of my fav rides

I’d love to go here but I live in the US. I’d be terrified on Tower of Terror too.
This park reminds me of Busch Gardens in Tampa Bay, Florida but without the great theming. That's the only thing this park seems to be missing is some really good theming. With all the history Africa has, there is plenty of room for some cool themes.
