Tak!
wow thank you so much
I almost fell over when she said 6 hours. That definitely wasn’t bleach. 😂
Yes it was. It was a very cheap and weak lightener concoction, I saw her pour in the powder. Lightener dies out after about 45 minutes to an hour so it’s not like it was processing the whole time.
@@azhaircountess9798 im pretty sure it was that bleach that you can get in a drugstore so that stuff it pretty questionable. My point was that it definitely wasn’t regular bleach. I know that it drys out and stops working. I understand how bleach works. However they sell products in drugstore the looks like and is suppose to be bleach and it’s just not. So her mixing the powder definitely doesn’t mean it’s full strength bleach with the proper developer. The very reason box dye “bleach” is not a wise choice.
@@bridgettedodson9706 It's bleach. You can call it"leach" all you like but it's still bleach.
@@gothicgrandma4559 I’m not sure who called it leach. My point was it’s not as strong as a professional or even bleach you can get from beauty supply.
@@bridgettedodson9706 You did. You clearly stated "that's not bleach". Then when someone corrected you by telling you that they saw them add and mix powder you backtracked. It may not be great quality bleach but it's still bleach.
Her natural hair with those amazing blue eyes was perfect for her!
There is that! Her eyes are so fantastic maybe no one will look at her hair ...maybe?
Yup. If she wanted a change, going darker would have made sense, not blonde!
@@inapickle806 I agree .. a darker brown would have been stunning
I agree. Her natural hair was beautiful brought out her eyes.

I’m amazed the amount of ppl who have access to the internet and don’t do research. It is honestly baffling how many people screw up their hair and spend just as much of not more to mess it up, and then have to go and get it fixed for wayyyyy more than it would have been.
Not even that. Ive done a bunch of box dyes. They very clearly explain to start the timer and Do Not Leave it on longer than (usually an hour) once you start the process. Not to mention they almost threaten you with death if you don't do a allergy test and strand test.
She’s on the researching team also…..just on the tester side.
I have watched all his videos and bleached my hair today 3 times it was dark brown black and is now bright orange 🍊 I followed the length first and roots after and the timers and the instructions
Still failed 😞
@@anythingandeverything254 now sometimes some people just have to get their hair bleached by a professional. My hair is very stubborn at being lifted. Especially if your hair is Virgin or even worse, you have lots of old colors underneath. Say you have you’ve colored your hair with 4 different colors and then decided to dye it black overtop. If you try to bleach it, not only are you lifting the black but every single one of those 4 colors before that as well. I’m just assuming but I’m guessing your hair is just stubborn like mine.
@@anythingandeverything254 That’s why hairdressers are professionals & spend time studying their craft !
I'm so amazed she still has a head of hair after all that
Me too
Chemical reaction of bleach stops after 45 min so it's not that facinating tbh
Its not bleach its just box coller its stops after 45minutes
@@GoddessOfPumpkin Bleach actually keeps working as long as it's still wet; it doesn't stop
@@GoddessOfPumpkin are you trying to tell a professional how chemicals in the hair work? Again, like someone else already said, and The Hair Buddha said in the video, that's not bleach, it's box dye. She's still lucky to not have fried off her hair. Even trained hair dressers have melted hair with hair bleach.
As a hairdresser, I have to say this actually turned out pretty decent doing it at home- it could have been much worse. If she were in my chair with the end result, I would put a demi-permanent shadow root on and smudge it with a violet based toner to cool down the yellow just a little. I actually like a little warmth on her because of the tones in her skin and the color of her brows.

This reminds me of the time my friend assured me she could bleach my hair platinum for me because she had been "doing her own for years."
Well, turns out her mother, who was a retired hair stylist had been bleaching her hair, and I went home with varying shades of blotchy orange and yellow brillow pad on my head. She used three different types of blonde box dye. It wasn't even bleach.

It's a box dye but it is actually bleach, they call it an intense lightener on the box. I think it's cream bleach and and powder together from what I remember.

During a whole year our salons were closed! I totally understand the desperation of people to get the gray out and a cut or a different hair cut. The Hair professional was so so missed! I love my hair dresser!!! Love love love!!!! And i love your videos! Especially when you crack up!
My mom is hairdresser in Poland. And I see the difference too . When she use professional products my hair look amazing. And I wear balleyage since I was maybe 10 yo.
As someone with near black hair I am so happy I never desired to be blonde. I can't imagine sitting there for so long to be yellow or a carrot top 😂 Also it's probably easier for dark hairs to cover grey, since box dye can do that.
Dealing with gray hair growing into dark hair is challenging. You have to get your roots done every 6 weeks. When I started to go gray I went blonde. It masks it. I can go 3-4 mos between appointments because you can’t see the gray in the blonde as much.
@@kittylady6946 you're probably right, but blond doesn't look good on me and that's besides the fact I don't really like it. My mom puts in dark low lights in her grey, and that looks pretty good. So I'll probably go that way also.
I wish i could say the same. I think dark hair is beautiful but sometimes i get the random urge for change...also my skin is pale so my naturally dark dark dark brown wavy hair looks kinda heavy on me sometimes so lighter hair makes me feel more vibrant and alive and not like a well girl.
I used to be a natural brunette, but now my hair is white. I like to dye it "unnatural" colors. I have to bleach it to get the semi permanent colors to "take."

🙈 from hairdresser of 28 years , I finally put my foot down a few years ago to colour corrections!!
I don’t care how much I can charge 💰 I can’t stand that people destroy their own hair and then expect miracles in one process, like they’re going to be catwalk ready 🤦🏻♀️
Nope 👎🏼
My favourite is when people bleach their hair and then say “I’ll just strip it back to my natural colour “, 🤣🤣🤣 honey you stripped that away with the bleach 💥
Agreed.
I remember in Uni my roommate bleached her hair and then used a colour remover to go back to her natural colour 😂😂😂😂 that’s very much NOT how it works
I’m a hairdresser Aswel. I refuse colour corrections now.
People never want to pay for it, and you can never tell them how it’s going to turn out , also people want a bloody miracle.
I am no longer going to correct your mistakes!!!
That is why i go to a Salon, so the folk who know what they are doing and have been trained to put my gold highlights in to give my har a warm glow and a lift, not turn me into the blonde i am not!!
@@louisegodden5217 the few times I screwed up my hair, I was just grateful they let me go without a hat. I don't expect a miracle but I will pay for you to make it livable. people need to understand how it works. you screwed it up, if you walk away from hair dresser with hair and no hat needed, say thanks and fork over the money
We both made eye contact when she said she’s gonna be applying bleach 😭😭🤣🤣 same energy

I would love to have him do my hair. I have an absolutely wonderful stylist who does my hair. She is so sweet, and she's great at her job.
But the concern in his voice for a person he doesn't even know. It shows that he really cares about his job and the people he works with. He seems like he would be the person who would walk you through every step of what he was doing, and would help you find the color and cut that would look the best for you.
Love the vids!
I literally do nothing to my hair (no heat ever applied, dye it like once a year) and here still looks healthier than mine after 6 hours of dye sitting on it lmao
Have a look at grape seed oil or fermented rice water with lemon that's what I do
@@sarahemilymonk8877 hmmm I’ve been reading about rice water, I’ll look into that thanks! ☺️
@@BBB-to4cc I've put far too much bleach on this year at home my hair is almost to my hips now but with using rice water and grapeseed oil inbetween its saved it and still so soft xx
Ditto........but I always get a good cut. With a good cut you are home free for day to day management. In the 59’s, my mother only bought boar bristles brushes. Seventy years later and I still use them. Still have a full head of hair that is health, soft and retains it’s colour.
I’ve been getting a foil weave for decades and I recently started using epres on my hair. It’s a bonding treatment and my hair is strong and shines now.
As a guy, it looks absolutely fine, because if I was out and saw a girl like this, I would not even notice that this is supposed to be bad.
She would look amazing with brunette and some red with those blue eyes!
I was at a hairdresser and when she didn't come to rinse my hair, I went to the sink and began doing it myself. Thinking helps.

He must have gone to the same school as my hairdresser
Ok but how did she still manage to make it look cute I-
One of my friend bleached her hair, with something like a quick blue powder, and she forget to rince the bleach.... She leaved it on her hair for more than 2hours and the result ? She lost all the hairs who got bleach on it.. She had beautifull long hair that came down to the middle of her back and she ended up with short hair, right above her shoulder...
OMG 🙈
I can imagine that when her hair grew longer, it was not the same anymore.
She’s SO beautiful! Her natural colour was perfect
If she had gone to a professional her hair would be wonderful. Some people think it's simple to work on hair. Then it's up to the hairdresses to fix their mess.
"professionals" can mess up people's hair too, and they often do
@@malloryknox6802 that’s why she said *professionals* and not “professionals” mate 😂.
A real professional wouldn’t make such a ridiculous mistake as to not take the dye out... 6 hours
@@Lovinia1 oh yeah cause "real professionals" automatically become perfect beens who are completely immune to commiting any mistake EVER. There are so many stories of people who went to "real professionals" and ended up with their hair messed up
@@malloryknox6802 6 hours mate... that’s what I’m referring to.
People should be able to do whatever they want with their own hair, even fu**ed up completely, without being shamed by a hairdresser, it’s not the hairdresser business to have an opinion on what people do you to their own hair, they “repair” the mess because that’s their JOB, they make a living out of it. Everyone want to be able to do thinks to their hair without paying 300$ to a very condescending person.
How does her hair look so healthy after all of that mess?!?.
Product, straightening and editing probably... it still looked really clumpy tho
Blind luck! I've been there myself - when I was younger I could treat my thick, (originally) mahogany-brown hair atrociously, constantly bleaching and perming and colouring it, yet it stayed shiny, silky-soft, strong and healthy throughout - it drove my friends crazy! I later lost more than a third of my hair to a sudden and unrelated form of alopecia, and the mix of different textures that eventually grew back in (which is a whole other story in itself!) needs treating with kid gloves - but whenever I look back at how abusive I was to my locks, I honestly can't believe I got away with it for so long...!
Thank the heavens she didn’t understand what she was putting on her head. If she’d used aaaactual bleach, that video would’ve ended with a pixie cut.
My brain was just screaming to rinse! I get super scared when I have bleach in, I’m not sure I’ve ever had it on more than an hour 😣

Confession...In the 90s I had dyed my hair black with a purple tint. I then had it bleached 4 wks later. It turned Pepto-Bismol pink. And I worked at a hair salon and just said sure go ahead. Keep in mind I was a raver and it was 1995!🥸🤣

Six hours?!?!? How didn’t it fall off?
Because it stops working after an hour 😂😂😂
@hannah H, Yes, box dye is not like bleach, it stops
It stopped working 🤣
So wonderful to hear you say "rinse it out"! It was my first reaction too 😮
This definitely helped me understand why , when I was dying my own hair, during the pandemic with blonde box dye, there was no damage. But then, when I got bleach, it damaged my hair. For me, a natural level 8 blonde, it seems blonde box dye is enough, to get the color, that I want and the damage from bleach isn’t worth it for me. Blonde box dye gets me platinum in 20 minutes, each time.
Her hair looks like the first time I tried to bleach my mannequin in class 😂

Dear mr. Hair Buddha in America we have bleach that comes in boxes to not just dies. She is in factors using a box bleach kit they may not have them and other countries but we have them . So he is correct the Box bleach is not as strong as regular bleach to get from a salon products store the reason her hair isn't damaged is because of that second tube that she put in the mixture that's to protect the hair from damage
Yes...Thank you I thought I was losing it! The box dye I use definitely has bleach in it.
Oh, thx.
@T. Dee I dont know much about it but do the box dyes not have ANY bleach in them, even if its just a little bit?
Hair Buddha to be fair though, the bleach box dyes are crap too.
@T. Dee I do know what I'm talking about I might not know the UK stuff but in the American stuff I do cuz that's what I fuking use
Oh, I love his reactions!!!! LOL! So entertaining!
I just looked at her channel and she's still the same color blond.
oh really? I would do lowlights and make it less blond
OMG HE GOT ME OVER HERE DYING LAUGHING 🤣🤣 love her eyes
If she finished it with a blue/violet toner ( and although it doesn't technically follow color theory, I would add silver as well as I find silver really controls gold and orange key well) it would be a proper blonde tone for her. Also it would be simple for her to shadow root it at this point and it would have better dimension and suit her more.
Her hair is not that extremely dark tbh. If she had proper bleach on for so long, her hair would’ve literally died. I’ve had my black hair dip dyed before & the hairdresser told me my hair was so dark it barely lifted much after bleaching twice. It was light brown after the first round and yellow/light yellow second time.
🙈
Same with me, but my hair was hecking orange the first round and then a light brown after the second bleaching. It took me about four or five bleachings to get to platinum blonde 😬
Her hair looks nice. Better than we all expected. It’s not ugly! She’s pretty.
You should put Nise and Easy light Ash Blonde on top it will tone it and look natural.
His stress was so real. I felt it.
9:17 forget flipping someone the bird or shaking your fist, imma gonna use this for the new insult gesture.
I was told to put coconut oil on my hair before bleaching so I tried it out and some kind of very strange reaction happened. My hair melted off at the scalp after 11-12 minutes of bleach application. I had to wear wigs for a year and a half. My new hair that has grown back still feels fried even though it should be healthy. 🤷
Chemical damage to the follicles
Coconut oil stops the bleach from penetrating your hair , that is ALL it does
And how is it now?
Maybe you should have apply the coconut oil the day before dying your hair and then wash it as a deep hidration or you should have applied it after the colourig.
That all black 'fit yo 🔥

I was just shouting "rinse it off" when you started shouting it. I love your honesty 😂😂😂
Ummm....I just want to make a note: there IS such a thing as box 'bleach.' I have used it and it works - just not as strong. Her hair wouldn't have gotten to that colour if it was not weak bleach. Of course, it is not as good as professional bleach, but it is still bleach. Thanks for sharing your expertise!

When you "bleach" your hair. Follow the instructions, don't adlib. That is why I still have hair after 20+ years of doing hair "bleach" and temp hair color. I have dark hair, Native American. I would get to banana peel pale yellow. Then I used the purple hair shampoo for white/silver hair to cancel the yellow. Then I would give the hair conditioning and recover time before using any color. Even then I made sure to prepare the hair before coloring, use creme color (I learned that creme is better than chemical, if it smells like turpentine, it isn't good for your hair), and that I had conditioner to seal the hair and protect the color. The temperary color would last, with proper care up to 4 months. Yes, I let my roots grow out to about 2-3 inches before I used color remover. The colors I used didn't turn ugly, they'd turn a lighter shade or fade to something I didn't mind. If it faded to "mud" I would not use that color again. I went with reds (faded to sunset colors, ending with a very nice looking ginger), yellows (the one I used fluoresced yellow well into the time it was too faded to see the color, I had to grow this one all the way out, the color remover couldn't remove the florescent left behind). I have never ended up with "green" hair (I actually did use green color once, faded to teal blue).
My thing is you get more than enough to do the job then double it. You can always save any unused (save boxes that haven't been opened, don't save the stuff made) for touch ups. Sorry, I would laugh at some of these bleach fails. I shouldn't, but I cannot say enough FOLLOW THE INSTRUCTIONS, don't adlib. You will kill your hair.
Quick note. I used a 40% peroxide "lightener." It smelled like lemon and salt. I only used a 60% once, I wasn't happy with the color and it burned my hair a little bit. I washed as soon as the color looked right, didn't leave in for full time in instructions. Took a week before my hair recovered and lots of conditioner and deactivation creme for the 60%. Ends were darker than near scalp (nearly white). I wasn't going to fuss, it was my mistake. Went back to 40% and banana peel yellow being the stop point for the lightening effect.
