Have the version 1 and love it. I wish I could update my decals to the new version. I have been waiting, add I also read waiting and thinking you guys were going to come up with a 60 sized bipe to compliment the cap and the mamba(have both also). I like the RV, and would love a larger plane, just don't have the space.. And like QQ I love bipes!
Amazing skills Mr. Somenzini without a doubt best of the best. Absolutely, a gorgeous plane, in fact, I have one on my table as we speak awaiting a receiver. However, I do have a question; though out the flight I have noticed several adjustments made or shell I say herd made via transmitter during 3d maneuvers - it sounded like trim adjustments in order to make another 3d transition. Is that correct ?
Hi Marine Vet, What you are likely hearing is his throttle timer. He has it set so that the timer stops under 25% throttle, and starts above 25% throttle. That beeping you hear is just that transition of the timer from off to on and vis versa.

A friend let me fly his older QQ Extra 300 today - I really liked it - maybe even better than the Timber - X I got to fly last week - another guy at the club may have a Visonaire for sale - It would be my first 3d plane - and I'm more of a scale aerobatics guy so far but my interests are evolving. Which plane would you recommend and why ?
I'm curious on what you decided to go with? I have the timber x and really like it but it is a high wing and some maneuvers are wonky. Thinking about giving this a try.
Curious about the power difference between the regular and night versions. Heard a lot of complaints about the night visionair being wat under powered compared to the regular version
This isn't the Visionaire. Performance difference is minimal between the Day and Night version - we try to minimize the weight gain with the night versions! The weight difference between the day and night versions of the QQ Extra 300 is 50grams (1.76oz).
Love how the plane flies but the landing gear is terrible. Wire too small and not spring steel like the old days. The softest of landing the wire bends. Going to print some 3D servo arm wing covers and just start hand launching and belly landing the plan. Print a skid plate for the bottom!
Does anyone know if Quique is staying in mode 3 this entire flight? or is he switching between mode 2 and 3 with the higher speed stuff. Some people have mentioned potential oscillations at higher speeds but I'm curious if this video was made all in one mode with no adjustments to gains??
Flex Innovations okay so he isn’t in Mode 3 the whole flight then? (Quite a few of us G2 owners are struggling with significant wing rock when in an upright harrier) Just trying to figure out if we need to adjust gains or what is going on.
So I am still a bit confused after reading and watching about QQ Extra. Do I need a receiver besides the Aura? I have a DX6, so if I need to change gains do I use the PC software since I do not have a knob?
Hi Bill, The Aura is not a receiver, but a gyro system, so yes, you'll need a receiver. There are many options out there, but for Spektrum users, this is commonly something like a Remote Receiver, or an SRXL2 receiver like the 4651T. That is correct. The PC program is a free download from our site, and you can adjust all of the settings to your personal liking. Generally speaking, we've tried to find a good setting out of the box, and most people fly the box-stock setup and never change it. We do understand, though, that everyone has preferences and thats why we've made the Aura so adjustable.
Our club had a night fly yesterday and a guy brought his new QQ 300 Extra G2 night flyer. I was very disappointed to see that there were no tail lights or red/green nav lights. The lack of both made it kinda hard to orientate imho. My good old HK FlyBeam looked heaps better. Too bad it does not fly as well though, lol!
@Kris Kross That's very true mate but I think when someone buys a fairly expensive night flyer you kind of expect not to have to do this. Having said that, I did end up adding some flashing beacons to my Night Visionaire, lol!

QQ Extra 300 for sure! Quique designed the Visionaire for Horizon back in 2012 or so. The Extra G2 was just released this year!

Typically switching between the two. It should not oscillate in fast flight.
