Jeremiah Trotter Jr was an A+ selection straight up. Dude was born to play LB. If you didn't see him play at Clemson, you simply missed out. This was one of the steals of the draft.
This is not my opinion, but I think he might have done that because we gave up 2 2nd round picks to move up it’s not about the player it’s about what we gave up
Traded up for a position you didn’t really need after already drafting a corner. Good player but you can’t really justify giving this an A+. B+ is a fitting grade.
what are these grades? B+ for getting a 1st round talent in the 2nd? C- for Fangio's favorite prospect? then just B's? along with a C? what are you expecting with late round picks?
The first 2 rounds of this draft were just A+++, including getting a third round back in the trade. Everything after that was a dumpster fire. It is like after that trade we switched staffs with the Cowboys. In the third round, the idea of taking a work in progress edge that WOULD HAVE BEEN THERE 2 rounds later was worse than useless. The opportunity cost was staggering. As were the continued trading back in the fourth round. In that round alone, we had the opportunity to take both Wilson boys (Roman at WR and Peyton at LB). But each time we had the change, we traded back and that perfect draft pick was taken. We could have had the burner from Oregon. We could have had Connor Beebee, which would have been an immediate plug and play in the interior of our line. But after the third round, we spent the entire rest of the draft seeing the best great option being taken and us looking for the next best option. It was so hard to watch. Actually, after seeing us go back so often in the 4th, and then trade out of it, I stopped watching. I don't care what capital we got for next year. And a RB in the 4th was just wasteful. It may have been a sneaky need, but that is only because of the obvious glaring needs. Also, how can you not give Cooper an A? At 40? At a position still of need even after Michell? Come on, man!
Hunt will be able to learn from sweat and graham...he has alot to learn but another year or 2...he will be a monster...give him time to get his awareness together and watch film
Hunt was clearly a Fangio pick. Got to trust the scouts who actually get paid to find talent. Amazing how so many here sit behind a desk and computer or work in a warehouse somewhere, and you all know more than the scouts who travel around the US to find talent.
My issue with taking Cooper DeJean is that they did it with Jackson Powers-Johnson and Adonai Mitchell still available and gave up both second rounders for him. Going in, I was hoping that Howie would take the best OT or Corner available at 22, and even trade back a few slots depending on how the board fell. For 50 I was hoping that he’d find a way to trade up for Xavier Worthy, but considering that the Chiefs were willing to trade up for him that probably wouldn’t have worked, but Ad Mitchell was still available at 40, so why not snatch him up? Also, considering that no Corner had been taken by 22, I would’ve even been okay with taking Worthy there and trading 50 up for the best Corner or Lineman Howie could manage to get, which would’ve likely been Kool-Aid McKinstry, Jackson Powers-Johnson, or maybe he would’ve still been able to land Cooper DeJean. And at 53 I was hoping he’d trade that pick back to get some capital to use for the aforementioned trade up, and some capital to select Cooper Beebe and/or Jeremiah Trotter Jr. later. That being said, Howie added some terrific players to this football team. I’m just not sure that he got the most value out of this year’s draft capital that he could’ve. But maybe I’m wrong. Go Birds! 🦅
B, mainly because of our steals of Mitchell and DeJean as well as adding three additional picks for next year. The other picks are a mix of good and poor picks. Some of our mid round picks are questionable. Several have potential however such as Wilson, Shipley and Trotter.
Damn! Even though I hate to say it being a Cowboy for life, but gotta admit it, you guys have the greatest owner in the NFL. One that really cares about the teams success. Over in Dallas it's all about the money with the Jones family. Love it or hate, everything that has that cowboys logo, cowboys star is money in the bank for the Jones. They don't care if the team wins or loses, it's all about the money. And for as long as the Jones own the team it's gonna be the same crap year after year. It sucks being a cowboys fan, but let's go eagles! Your team has everything it needs to be competitive in winning Superbowls for years to come! You got Hurts, AJ, Smith, Goedert, Saquon, then y'all draft Shipley, y'all had a bad ass defense already and then draft the best 2 cbs in the draft in Mitchell and Cooper and also come up with Jeremiah trotter jr? Come on guys, as much as it hurts, I'd rather it be the eagles winning the next Superbowl than the forty-whiners. I'll just continue on with my suffering as a cowboys fan 😢
Unfortunately, Brenden Rice ended up going to the Chargers in the 7th round. So Jim Harbaugh gor Brenden Rice. I think that's an underrated pic. I still wish we would have got him. He had 12 touchdowns last year in college. He was a big, tall receiver. Who was pretty good, and he dropped us several times. Chargers are definitely gonna have a good receiver. I hope that big guys Wilson pans out. Because he only had 2 touchdowns for a tall guy. You would have thought he would have been more dominant in the red zone. So, hopefully, Kellen Moore can work as magic and develop Wilson into a threat. So I hope the Wilson kid does well, but we could have had Rice. I think Rice was a better prospect, but we'll see what happens. I still think we had a great draft. I'm very happy. That would be the only change. I would make it at the end of the draft Rice instead of Wilson.
Assuming you didn’t watch FSU, but he got a lot of his TD’s sniped by his QB. I really liked Brendan too and had him over Johnny, but Johnny can def have a role on 3rd down packages when you can have him, AJ, and Goddert as big targets. Sometimes he just doesn’t play to his size, that’s his biggest issue
Will Shipley is a dawg and a great pass catcher. he came into Clemson at a terrible time there run blocking was abysmal! Fell off the radar because of it but watch what he do with this eagles o-line. ofc behind saquon tho
@@marcborras4337 Yes because he's versatile is a big reason why they drafted him. And Fangio the new DC plays a lot of zone which is what Cooper is good at. So I don't hate him as a pic I just really liked that Edgerin Cooper and thought he was a stud.
Please give Coop a chance a corner. I hate to see the guy get automatically labeled at safety. Looking at his college highlights, most of them come from his playing corner.
Do yourselves a favor, check out the path of value received from the DeJean trade...Its incredible! The trade back process after this pick garnered the Birds Ainias Smith, Will Shipley, Jalyx Hunt, AxeMan 2.0, 2025 4th and 5th. Chess...not Checkers.
B+ 🤨 SHOULD'VE BEEN AN A. DUDE DRAFTED 9 PLAYERS WITH A 3RD, 4TH & 5TH FOR NEXT YR. GOT TWO FIRST ROUNDERS IN THE 1ST 2 ROUNDS & JERMAINE TROTTER JR WHO WAS A SOLID COLLEGE PLAYER WITH TIES TO THE EAGLES 🤷
Howie stacked up on picks for next year so he can move up to get a real Q.B. Hurts every year for over 3 years turnovers more and more each year came in 4th last year most turnovers in the nlf! Can not take presser in his face if he does he fumbles! And how many years we have to hear? Got to look at the tapes got to get better! He and Bradberry cost us the S.B.! And howie got a tall receiver so he can catch all the balls way over there heads joke! That is why ownership only signed him for 3 years! Jeffery always said what kind of Q.B. he likes and does not fit with what he said! And him and the little rat who make all calls who to gets picked! Go back to Hollywood where he belongs and put little rat man where he belongs contracts and money get a real G.M. waist of 3rd round pick Hunt!
well I gave you another chance, thumbs down, and how does someone who looks as if they have NEVER seen a gym relate ANYTHING to a gym, you should have chosen a different major then mass media/communications !

Philadelphia Eagles drafts pick A plus for sure
A+
B
A
Jeremiah Trotter Jr was an A+ selection straight up. Dude was born to play LB. If you didn't see him play at Clemson, you simply missed out. This was one of the steals of the draft.
Right now we have a SUPER BOWL Caliber TEAM RIGHT HERE 💪🏾🦅💪🏾😶🌫️
Eagles draft good A++++++
Howie been doing his thing the last few years in the draft man I love this years class.
How is Cooper De Jean not a A grade? Are you kidding me?! He’s going to supplant Blankenship as starting safety
This is not my opinion, but I think he might have done that because we gave up 2 2nd round picks to move up it’s not about the player it’s about what we gave up
@@satuplesomos1 those 2nd round picks turned into a 2nd, 2 3rds, 3 fourths, and 4 5ths, it was very gd value in the end so A+
I think he will start out at corner/returned and then slide to safety depending on who pans out between blank and CJG.
Not a doubt about that. It may not be said in preseason but by Brazil it will be. It’s called Depth and not meant as an insult to Reed.
Yeah I loved his film to be honest. He's a beast
Loved the draft class ready for the season
How does getting a first round talent in the second round get a B+
A+ anyway you look at it.
Traded up for a position you didn’t really need after already drafting a corner. Good player but you can’t really justify giving this an A+. B+ is a fitting grade.
First round talent 🤣 just remember there is a reason why teams passsed 🤣💀
Great job by The Eagles we really building here!!!!
what are these grades? B+ for getting a 1st round talent in the 2nd? C- for Fangio's favorite prospect? then just B's? along with a C? what are you expecting with late round picks?
Think you and ur crew did a great job!! Please go get much deserved rest now!! ❤
Excellent breakdown straight to the point

We already got smith tho
MITCHELL and DEJEAN gave up zero touchdowns in 2023
How can that not be A++
Never forget this dude is a Niners fan!
Grew up in Philly actually. You’re clearly not a real one!
@EaglesNow I wasn't talking about where you grew up my dude, I said you were a Niners boy lol
😂😂😂
B+ is fair. The top two guys should be solid starters.
Soooo ready for next season 🫡
B+. I think we reached for Jalyx Hunt the third round!
You have to admit though, Jalyx has a very nice highlight tape.
Hunt was clearly a Fangio pick. Got to trust the scouts who actually get paid to find talent. Amazing how so many here sit behind a desk and computer or work in a warehouse somewhere, and you all know more than the scouts who travel around the US to find talent.

Anais smith posted over 2400 receiving yards and A&M and ran the ball for 406 yards (5.6 avg) he could be our deebo samuel like slot WR

Ainias smith kilt Alabama he is a best n I’m a Alabama fan A
I really cant see DeJean as an NFL corner. His hips are to stiff, but I do think he's a baller and can make a heck of a safety.
Hoping he was the right choice over Kool-aid
I'm a big fan of eagles 2024 season better 🦅🦅🦅🦅🦅🦅🦅🦅🦅🦅🦅🦅🦅 Eagles draft good I lost my family member
I lost my family member
Many prayers for comfort healing strength and peace 💪🏾 🙏🏾

Facts. He is very close to a CMC type player.
I give Eagles Draft a B+ as well. I probably would have taken Edgerin Cooper over Cooper DeJean, but solid overall for draft.
Cooper dejean can play multiple positions
@@marcborras4337 Yes because he's versatile is a big reason why they drafted him. And Fangio the new DC plays a lot of zone which is what Cooper is good at. So I don't hate him as a pic I just really liked that Edgerin Cooper and thought he was a stud.
Not happy we got Hunt that early
Grade A overall the way they traded up and down already setting 2025 up for another great draft is the value that gives the birds an A
Disappointed we didn’t get a back up tackle
A+

Beyond the first 2 rounds, I don’t think Philly drafted particularly well. Hope they both work out.

Bro they should draft you lol. Cooper dejean and blankenship look like if they are your kids lol
Draft grade: Who the he'll knows
Ask me in 2 years
Picks largely dictated by the inability of the Georgia Dawgs back 7 selections the past couple of years to pan out.
Yo hoho Cherokee guy, go to for info. Breathe and ditch the 3 day depends
I think cooper should've had a higher grade

it’s incredible how well howie sets himself up for the future. Man is in the draft office with a crystal ball.. cap market master, too!
And 2025 3rd from Dolphins if I’m not mistaken
B+ for DeJean at 40??? What would you have given this pick at 22...as WIDELY projected??? C-? D+? Silly Rabbit 😂

B÷ for me great draft
Draft was a hard c
Rephrase that. Outside of the first 2 rounds it might be a hard c
B-
Hunt is a massive reach. I doubt he ever does anything. Shipley is a JAG. We could have got a much better RB in the 4th.
