With all due respect, Nabers is the # 1 WR in this draft. If MHjr’s name was Joe Smith, Nabers would have been everyone’s # 1. Nabers # 2 player in entire draft. Unbelievable pick. Keep up the good work Marshall.
I'm liking the Tracy pick. RB who can obviously catch, graded out excellent at the combine and has very little wear on the tires. That last point offsetting the age concern, especially in a league where you don't look to sign a RB to a big 2nd contract anyway. Probably more of a #2, but #2's play a lot these days. Plus the special teams aspect. In general I think the O picks all have impact potential. Johnson maybe the most "hit or miss" of the bunch. Nabers needs to be excellent.
Let's hope he can learn TE. What was it three years at Penn he played and still hasn't learned the position yet as of the draft. Wonderful choice, lot of upside but apparently dumb as a box of rocks if it takes more than a season to learn to be a TE.
They got most peoples top ranked WR and S. That alone makes for a solid draft imo. And i actually really like that UCLA LB from rd6 also. The guy had 5 INTS in his career and 16.5sacks....and lead his team in tackles the past 3 seasons. Hes extremely durable and productive...and i think he is a huge sleeper from our draft
Malik nabers is unrealA+. I like the theo Johnson pick. just feel like we filled a lot of holes. kind of sucks looking how Washington and the Eagles drafted though.
Well tbf Theo can help block while bellinger runs routes, plus, we also got 2 offensive linemen in free agency, even if they aren’t that good. Anything to protect DJ.
Definitely a solid B+ to a borderline A- Nabers obviously being the most talked about pick but getting guys like Nubin (Ballhawk safety that we needed) and Theo Johnson (who I think most agreed he was heavily underutilized at Penn State) were some big pickups. Dru Phillips I think will be a solid corner addition and Tyrone Tracy Jr will be that 2nd man behind Singletary to split some carries and/or be a great out of the backfield or motion out wide from the backfield type addition. Overall ... a well done draft getting players that either fit a need and we picked BPA for that position, or picked guys who fit the offensive or defensive scheme.
No more excuses….the giants brought in the top receiver, they bolstered the offensive line, if Jones doesn’t put up numbers this year or if he gets hurt again, it’s time to move on and find a new QB. Very excited for this season!
Lol, go research Theo. . . The dude still hasn't learned how to be a TE after like 3 years with Penn. . . All he has are combine stats. I'll be rooting for him though but Schoen and Daboll need to lose their jobs and more than likely will at the end of the season for this failure of a draft
B, wish we were a little more aggressive in getting multiple picks. Not a fan of Phillips when a guy like Cam Hart was available. Don’t like the last pick of the LB when others were available. Besides that I like the others picks. Hope we pick up a few UDFA’s … like TE Dallin Holker, CB Willie Drew, CB Johnny Dixon, DT Leonard Taylor, DT Fabian Lovett etc

Nabers should start dsy one, my only concern is our coaches did not play Hyatt nearly enough last season, but Nabers being a first rounder, and a freakishly talented young player, you have to think he’ll start day one. The safety will also start, and the 3rd round pick will probably get multiple snaps and eventually start. Love Theo, he’s a great athlete and a true tight end who will block, and he’s fast for a tight end. The running back from Purdue will help as a pass catcher right away. No opinion on the linebacker the Giants drafted, but those Hawaiian guys are made of something different, their made of steel. He’ll be a good addition to the special teams and probably improve over time. Giants have so many needs and they definitely addressed multiple positions. Giants are better today than they were before the draft. 😊

Time will tell of course, but if you’re drafting 6th you should get an A or B+. We got a top WR, the best safety in the draft, a big fast TE, all positions we needed to improve. If you throw in Burns, a young, immediate impactful, proven starter, again at a position of need for one of our picks, leaving only 6 picks this year, IMO, it becomes just that. A- / B+.
I would grade it an A+ draft had we brought in a guy like Christian Mahogany or Gabe Hall instead of an LB at 183. OG/DT are bigger positions of need for the Giants. Mahogany was a projected top-100 pick and despite health concerns, would have added a ton of value as a 6th rounder. And I couldn't believe Gabe Hall went undrafted. Even worse seeing the Eagles pick him up.
Grade C+. Always drafting slot corners in the 3rd rd. Doesn't matter which GM we have it's always the same strategy. Sam Beal, Jayron Hosley, Aaron Robinson smh. Missed on CBs early 2nd rd. Didn't take a potential starting RB and didn't get a QB. All the while the Eagles nail it again 😒
Honestly the Giants couldn’t have done any better or worse in the draft. Overall it was a solid draft, every player they drafted has a raw and physical mentality which is what they need. Every draft pick also has someone in their corner in which they can learn from, besides Malik Nabers but him being surrounded by solid receivers he shouldn’t have any problems besides the QB
Because for the most part they didn't. Too many holes and questionables on the roster still. When you look at what a lot of the other teams were able to get in this draft, including a lot of already better teams picking behind the Giants who you wouldn't think would be able to land many real good prospects but they still did, with that factored in its hard to say the Giants improved all that much. Yes you also have to look at what the competition did to get better and compare to see what the gains on them if any are.
Drafting Nabers automatically makes the team better. If the FA's they brought in can perform to league average, then no excuses for Danny Dimes. LB Burns definitely makes the team better. He will be the other bookend Ojulari was supposed to be, but too many injuries have relegated him to a backup when available. It's not that the Giants didn't improve, it's that the other teams, especially the Eagles and Commanders may have improved even more. I don't expect any playoff numbers until they actually get their QBOTF. Dimes and Lock are placeholders, unless Dimes balls out knowing this is his last shot. Most likely scenario is that DJ will get them to 7-10 or 8-9 and will be ranked around 18 in QBR. I'm hoping the D will improve against the run, we'll have to wait and see how Bowen's schemes work out. Lot's of new bodies, LFG!
You’re sleeping on Tracey !!! Hopefully 🤞 we’ll see. I see him coming in on 3rd downs and passing plays. Playmaker watch his film. He used to be a WR he’s going to be an immediate impact I think.
Dru Phillips reminds me of Darnay Holmes I’m not even sure he can beat him for the starting slot ideally it should be Flott but he feels like belongs outside to compete with Hawkins hopefully we bring in a vet overall great draft so glad we didn’t reach on Maye and JJ now watch DJ cook with a better oline and weapons im telling Wan’dale is a nightmare in the slot, Hyatt we get only better… Slayton gets open and if Waller comes back with bellinger and Theo like come on we building 👌🏾… didn’t even mentioned the linebackers and d line which is obviously our strength… this year will be on the coaching and play calling we have no excuse this year you cannot tell this is not 8-10 win team especially if we bring in some veteran depth
Tracy being a bit old for a rookie RB at 24 is kinda mitigated (IMO) by his late transition to the running back position. Backs tend to break down in their late 20s because of years and years of punishment taking hit after hit on all those carrys. For most, that process starts as early as high school, but Tracy was a WR until basically last season, so his body hasnt suffered near the amount of punishment coming into the NFL as a guy like Saquon for instance.
I did not like what we did in the draft. In a deep wide receiver class, we only draft 1 receiver, we missed out on an opportunity to really improve the offense. We passed on Ad Mitchell, Troy Franklin. This was part of the reason why OBJ was hurt a lot, he didn’t have any help on the other side.
I wasn't thinking about it until shortly after the draft ended. To finish this draft and walk away with just one WR is unacceptable. You can't tell me that Nabers with Wan'Dale, Jalin is a formidable group of pass catchers. Regardless of who the QB is, they need better than that.
I get it but we needed and still need (lol) dbs. Was more of a priority we can always draft a bigger target next year or grab one in fa cus we gonna have money (assuming we rod ourselves of Danny)
We can’t forget how great jalin Hyatt and Wandale Robinson were in college before coming to this messed up giants offense that was centered around saquon Barkley. Not only that but they had nothing but mediocre qb play since joining the NFL. I think the addition of Malik nabers, a do it all wr, the other two young wrs can get more looks with the real threat of a do it all wr.
Jesus Christ yall come on here and say anything. You social media Gms suck. You can’t justify spending draft capital on another wide receiver who quite frankly may not crack the rotation when you have a ton of holes on the roster … they signed 2 UDFA wrs and still have Bryce Ford Wheaton from last year. With only 6 picks and a ton of holes why draft 2 wrs?
Grades don’t matter. They got a top guy in round one, and needed depth at safety in round 2. The Kentucky corner missed 22% of his tackles. At NFL level that becomes a joke. Penn State guy may be great . Love that we got him. Running back may be useful in odd scenarios. UCLA linebacker is small and slow . Maybe a special teams guy. But cmon. Decent raft but not great
@jameshollister8294 Theo is going to be a big target in the red zone and blocking and is very fast for seem passes like jermey shockey was used theo is 6 foot 6 259 pounds and is so fast
I get all that...but he didn't produce in college. It's hard to imagine a guy who didn't produce in college is somehow going to be good when the talent rises immensely. @@ghostk1n9
1st pick B+, 2nd A, 3rd C-, 4th C, 5th B+, 6th C- Overall draft grade = C+ We were supposed to have an advantage on getting better players than most other teams this year yet most other teams picking behind us still managed to get multiple great prospects making it seem like they at minimum made their rosters equally better through this draft. So with that factored in the Giants likely didn't improve all that much through this draft. In a few rounds the Giants did not take "the best available" even though Schoen wants to pretend he did. Giants are still gonna be a bottom 10 team next year, just reality.
Agreed. I "stupidly" stated our 3rd pick was questionable last night, and got attacked by the typical YT keyboard Nazi's. Posting on YT is becoming a bad experience.
@user. I admire your tough grading but Nabors a C+, when he was graded right behind Harrison Jr. I think your way off on Nabors sorry to say. I give the class a B+
@paulmysliborski4832 I understand but routes Nabors runs, or at least a decent amount are not vertical. So that point is moot. He was the right pick for many reasons. A generation WR, which means great for several years. This will most likely be the only year Jones will be throwing to him. Unless he is a scout or player development person ,(all who think this was a great pick) then creduabolty is a bit short. Therfore I am relying on the experts like Blue Banter and all the others. I am not saying it's because of my knowledge but rather the experts, which I believe rules out 98% of us fans. So I believe he is way off based on the experts. Of 6 credentials are shown then I will take back my critique. I hope I am not being harsh.
User my bad...mis read but B+ is low. He will get his yards and receptions even with Jones because he is not just a vertical route runner. In fact, Dabol and MK have drawn up the same rout tree before in 22. This is an A+
Grade: C. When the potential is based on hype about the weird, non-conforming exceptions made for players (Johnson will be better than his production, Tracy will have fresh legs cuz he's really a wideout, the CB has ZERO ints but he hits)... beware.
Let's not forget Theo was a WR and went to Penn where he's been learning how to be a TE and still has not fully learned it according to his coaches , his playtime and our scouts/coaches. Phillips, well who did he ever really play against that was of high caliber. When he did play them guys/teams those teams smoked Kentucky. 49 by Alabama, 38 by Clemson lol. Even Nubin, who the hell does Minnesota play that would show Nubin against NFL caliber people. Ball hawk or just completely awful QBs they played where a safety should average 5 Ints per year. Just disgusting to see them pass on solid pedigree for numbers at a combine or because they are supposedly tough or aggressive. We've heard that every year these two schmucks have drafted. . . I'm still waiting to see all the toughness. These two should be gone next year because this draft did little to help us and they weren't even smart enough to bring in players that could have allowed us to make a trade or two after the draft for a high quality veteran or two and solidify our OL and Secondary, but hey that would be too easy and give us a chance at success lol. Here's to nothing but hope n luck for us giants fans. God forbid we take our chance on, a Rice, a gore, a McCaffrey or mcconkey, or even Owens. Complete draft failure outside the 1st round pick which would have been near impossible to screw up
I read those dam Falcons tried to trade up with Patriots to get Nabors! That would have happened with Gettleman who let that happen with Eagles who got Devonte Smith

I don't believe they got better this year.
Feel this is an A draft. Looking good!
I like Tracy jr & ofcc Nabers 💙
Hard to judge this draft since two of the picks were based on the new Kick off rules. Tracey and Musauea. Otherwise they would not have been drafted.
Good point..
Interesting point
You’re sleeping on Tracey !!! Hopefully 🤞 we’ll see. I see him coming in on 3rd downs and passing plays. Playmaker watch his film. He used to be a WR he’s going to be an immediate impact I think.
@@ThUnDeRThUnDeR125 He may be the H- back or combo of RB/WR that Saquon Barkley really was on the Giants.
@@frankgraham1996 Facts 👍👍 you’re right, hey we see what happens. Hope for the best that’s all.
I don’t think Dru is gonna play in the slot all that much.
Marshall you need endorsement bro.
Andru Phillips is another Darnay Holmes. The same speed. He’s aggressive but the same as Darnay
That would be horrible. Holmes sucks. And why not pick a boundary corner. 0 INTs. Come on.
Namers is my favorite pick.
Should have traded the 3rd round pick, for additional picks, and did better with the 6 round pick.
If O line coach is the goods… we should be good this year…DJ gonna show y’all 💯💯
You mean Tommy Cutlets !!!!
@@AnthonyArgyros he will be RELEASED before the season starts…Troll
He will follow in Odell's traditional path as a GIANT Wr
Theo was my favorite pick
why no Oline?
We did in the free agency
Darius is an A++
The Penn State guy is my favorite
How? You don't even know his name.
Theo Johnson
It was a very solid draft.
They did a great job. I give them an A-
A+
Giants like they are 🎉
B- we done a good job dis year if we can stay healthy playloffs 💯🙏🍌⛽⛽⛽🗽🗽🗽
Grade B- It's all based on rounds 1 & 2
Grades don’t matter. They got a top guy in round one, and needed depth at safety in round 2. The Kentucky corner missed 22% of his tackles. At NFL level that becomes a joke. Penn State guy may be great . Love that we got him. Running back may be useful in odd scenarios. UCLA linebacker is small and slow . Maybe a special teams guy. But cmon. Decent raft but not great
The te didn't produce 300 yard
Don't understand why we didn't take a shot on rattler?
@jameshollister8294 Theo is going to be a big target in the red zone and blocking and is very fast for seem passes like jermey shockey was used theo is 6 foot 6 259 pounds and is so fast
I get all that...but he didn't produce in college. It's hard to imagine a guy who didn't produce in college is somehow going to be good when the talent rises immensely. @@ghostk1n9
B+/A- good job Joe Schoen
Cut Waller even if he wants to play. He's oft injured & will not be in condition to gv 100%
Giving away a 4th for him was stupid. You aren’t close to contending.
@@bruce5402 h
He gave Nabers B+.
There is no QB to get him the ball here. That was his point.
Complete draft failure outside the 1st round pick which would have been near impossible to screw up
I agree with Marty.
I think it's a solid b plus
I read those dam Falcons tried to trade up with Patriots to get Nabors! That would have happened with Gettleman who let that happen with Eagles who got Devonte Smith
Overall Grade A...finally a good draft
Phillips will surprise you..watched alot of SEC football being in Florida..all around a tough kid..he will hit you
I give Johnson a A rating..you throw it up to him he will catch it..also a good blocker
Didn’t they bring in like 5 linemen and brought in burns . They’re good. This draft lookin like an A on paper n Joe picking I believe in him
Hopefully they can give the quarterback some time to throw or this will be another long long season…
B 10:17
Feel bad for slayton.. if he had at least 100 targets last season like other receivers slayton would’ve crack the 1000 yard mark
We got Brian Burns my boy
I’d give it a C+
I think Schoen felt he made enough moves on the O-line and D-line during free agency.
Theo is my fav pick
B would have liked the D LINEMAN FROM FLORIDA STATE
No matter what Marshal says I give my NY giants an A plus ➕➕➕ grade
Nabors favorite pick
