    Best 3 minutes of my life. I have a bug problem behind the dishwasher. I was convinced that there was a hole, allowing bugs into the home. Followed your steps and found the hole, literally in the wall. I was exhausted and so disgusted that I took a break. Thanks again.

      I also learned that the dishwasher does not have plug. It's a live wire. Not following your advice..and my family would have found me lying on the floor, electrocuted. Funny but real. Anyway, thanks again. I grounded the wire...I hope, and I even re-labeled my fuse box so that it's more accurate. Love this to-the-point video.

      I have the same issue with mice. Did you unhook the electrical and water to pull the dishwasher out ? Or can you pull it out without disconnecting ? TY!

    • @cls393
      @cls393 Рік тому

      @@phoebec6024 I turned off the dishwasher at the fuse box. Then, I attempted to start it to see if it started, to ensure that no electricity was still running to the dishwasher. I didn't have that electric current tool that he had. I followed his steps exactly. Even though I have a granite counter top, every connection to the washer and the counter top was exactly where he said it would be. I did have a shopvac to vacuum the water, because I have hardwood floors in my kitchen. Hope this helps. I did kinda struggle with the electrical part but I didn't need any extra tools other than a screwdriver and pliers for the clamps. Seamless job thanks to this video.

    • @cls393
      @cls393 Рік тому

      @@phoebec6024 Oh and to answer your specific question I did have to disconnect everything. The dishwasher is clamped in place. It's impossible to pull it forward without disconnecting it. Once you see how it is connected, you will definitely understand. Put on some messy clothes, throw that hair in a bun, get pliers and a screwdriver and towels or a shopvac and make a day of it. Also take some time sorting out the cabinet that houses the hose for the dishwasher. You will need to adjust that hose so that you can pull the dishwasher forward. And get those house intruders. Lol.

    I love this, because each cut gets right to the point. THis is how every how-to video should be. Amazing.
    I have no screws on top though. don't know why.

      Quartz/granit/marble countertop ? Make sure you don't pull out both fully loaded trays at once, as the whole unit might topple over.

    GREAT video!! Thanks, worked like a charm. Your video showed all the important steps with great pictures and it only took a couple minutes to watch. My dishwasher is older and there wasn't very much clearance, so raising the feet was a bear (about 1/8th of a turn is all that was possible). The rear feet are absolutely impossible to reach so I just had to manhandle the thing out.

    I showed this to my dad to help him understand that you don’t have to take it out by force, but I was too late

    Thanks for this "how to" video! And, just as the title says- 30 minutes is all it took to get my dishwasher out :) I know I would never have figured it out on my own & I'm pretty sure it would have cost me a couple hundred to call in someone to do it for me. Thank you!!

    Does the breaker get electricity only to the dishwasher, I want to remove the dishwasher and work few days in the kitchen before get a new one .

      In some cases yes. In some cases no. If you find that other things in your house are also shut off, use marr connectors on the ends of the dishwasher wires for safety and then turn the breaker back on.

    Thanks Chris. When it comes to water and electricity it's always great to have someone to remind me of all the steps I might otherwise miss 😁👍🏼
