Much if what you’re saying mirrors what cyclingtips wrote about the original Dogma F in their one year review. Particularly that the frame feels harsh and is not the stiffest in some areas. I’d be interested to see an actual side by side comparison or someone measuring deflection in key areas like head tube and BB. TOUR magazine in Germany does this on all reviews.
They did do this. The F is much softer in all measured areas compared to the F12. Actually is softer than the F10. The F8 really was the pinnacle in my book. Stiff, light, simple, elegant.
I've tested pinarello replica frame, surprisingly the build quality quality as good as original frame. You might cannot tell which one are fake. The riding experience with the fake one is much pleasure if you use decent groupset and wheels. The only problem the are just slightly heavier than the original frame maybe extra 200- 300 gram due to different carbon material
Perhaps build up the vb168 to compare as this is the sl7 copy and you do love the tarmac family. Could be a snappier bike as the fake Pinarello heavy for sure, like its real thing.
As I ventured down this road I didn’t like the people it brough attention too. I got in contact with to many people about the previous video. I’ll just stick to Chinese companies frames that look like there own

900 to a 1000w at 25 miles an hour? You were climbing? It is a lot of power for that speed. Next time when filling anything in a threaded bottom bracket, make sure to protect the threads. Maybe that is why you had troubles threading the bracket in. My only concern is the front fork. Good build
Well, a real Pinarello does use a very different carbon and a carbon layup which costs a lot more money. They also put in way more R&D. I'm not trying to justify the full outrageous price of their bike though. Even taking into account sponsorship of the best funded team in the world tour, they are still over priced.
Said for many years. Carbon frames from known brands should be between 1500-2000 dollars. Then they are accessible and would sell a lot more. Charging 3500, 5000 and up to 7000 grand for a frame is just a scheme…
I would ascribe the 80/20 rule to Velobuild. Is is a superbike? No. But they do get you 80% there at 20% the price (please do not fact check my math...😅). The other 80% of the price is paid in sweat equity during the build
He said that like the tape masking, cause he works in a big brands dealership, gotta save some faces for the big brands, so yeah….. we all know a non climbing light weight stiff frame is sluggish on the start…. yeah…right…must be the aero profile…yeah…

However I know some guys in my local race scene who for years raced on cheap Chinese no name frames for a while because they were broke college kids but they dominated the P/1/2 field at the time and they loved those bikes. They're pro cyclists now, sponsored by a pro team, and ride 12K+ bikes

I wanted to change the appearance of my bike :)
So tape is stealth or something else??
The brakes suck? you had to shave the bottom bracket with a file? The ride felt sluggish? It beat you up after 30 miles? But it has PINARELLO lines.
hahah the brakes and the bottom bracket I dont think have anything to do with that
Much if what you’re saying mirrors what cyclingtips wrote about the original Dogma F in their one year review.
What if the groupset is top of the line like Duraace or SRAM Red and wheel are Zipp 454 sth like that… I think it won’t make a difference…
Hello. Which frameset did you try with? Pinarello dogma f?
did you feel any flex in sprints and hills on the fake one? thanks.
@@ByAliiTR hi tested F12, the frame is stiff and agile. Just additional 200-300 grams as i was informed by the owner.
I’ll just stick to Chinese companies frames that look like there own
@@GCPerformance18 That's probably a good call. It sucks if any of these companies' legal teams would create problems for you though. You're not the one stealing IP you're just a customer. Doesn't mean they won't threaten you though and it's not worth the hassle. Thanks for following up even if you had to cover it in tape 🙂
@@GCPerformance18 I hear you brother. I've been in the industry 17 years. Never known a time like it. Pricing normal riders out of the game and new world frames at great prices though risks taken in QC etc. Thanks for keeping it real.
that bike looks good
Of course it's going to beat you up when you're riding at 100psi on 28's. Why so much?
Il fully with you. If you are used to a superbike the ridefeel of cheap bikes is just different. Even if they look like a dogma.
I don't have a superbike, but I have a Tarmac SL6. I can not honestly tell that much of a difference between it and my VB-R-077. I feel like the 077 wants to take off like a rocket ship when I sprint.
900 to a 1000w at 25 miles an hour? You were climbing? It is a lot of power for that speed. Next time when filling anything in a threaded bottom bracket, make sure to protect the threads. Maybe that is why you had troubles threading the bracket in. My only concern is the front fork. Good build
900-1000w was my sprint. The ride was at 25mph the sprint was like 35mph but complete flat
very descent speed
Maybe the disc brakes are so bad because you are squeezing the hoses through a tiny hole with 90 degree angles??
lmao probably but no even when squeezing so tight they do not brake for shit
How in the world did you not address the weird camo?
lmfao
I’m sure those wheels added to the stiffness. From what I’ve heard those winspace wheels are really stiff.
I ride those same wheels on my tarmac sl7 for over 2,000 km and no complaints of stiffness similar to the ones on these rides
I also build my own bikes using frames from China. That top tube looks weird 🤔. But 7.49kg for a $2000 bike 👍
Dope bike for the money. Since it’s a copy of a frame from a certain company makes you wonder how much that company spends on making their bikes
Care to elaborate?
Well, a real Pinarello does use a very different carbon and a carbon layup which costs a lot more money. They also put in way more R&D. I'm not trying to justify the full outrageous price of their bike though. Even taking into account sponsorship of the best funded team in the world tour, they are still over priced.
Said for many years. Carbon frames from known brands should be between 1500-2000 dollars. Then they are accessible and would sell a lot more. Charging 3500, 5000 and up to 7000 grand for a frame is just a scheme…
@@jevgeniardassov Are you suggesting that the real Pina is no better than this Velobuild?
@@tommyfreckmann6857 pinarello dogma f
Good experiment and vid but na I would stay clear of it. Rather get a second hand bike if I'm on a budget
same here
I think the poor ride comfort had more to do with the wheels. Carbon spokes are extremely stiff and unforgiving.
I ride these wheels on my tarmac, also have sold these wheels to a ton of customers and the ride feels way different
Internal cable doesn't work well with cable especially integrated bar that's why the brakes doesn't work right
yes we know this i would prefer a hydraulic on there
Thanks for the video! 😅 can already see to much issues with this bike. Won’t be buying this Chinese bike anytime soon.

10000000 percent!!!
Why is it wrapped in electrical tape
Issues with a big name brand that the bike looks like. I just posted a new video on it. It’s my most recent on.
I would ascribe the 80/20 rule to Velobuild.
Is is a superbike? No. But they do get you 80% there at 20% the price (please do not fact check my math...😅). The other 80% of the price is paid in sweat equity during the build
He said that like the tape masking, cause he works in a big brands dealership, gotta save some faces for the big brands, so yeah….. we all know a non climbing light weight stiff frame is sluggish on the start…. yeah…right…must be the aero profile…yeah…
problem for me would be zero resale value
this is true people are usually turned off by this, but I have seen a good amount of these types of bikes listed as this and for sale online
No thanks!
I commend you for the effort, but that build was just destined for disaster. If it were me, I would have built a used CAAD10 with Shimano 105 or Ultegra and decent carbon clinchers.
:) agreed
Run 28 tires for smooth ride
28 tires?? but how?
The break situation makes me not want the Sensah "groupset". I don't want rim breaks anymore. Hybrid disc breaks don't appeal to me.
I have seen people buy this group and then go ahead and buy different brake calipers that actually have some nice pull
I'm currently riding a Sensah groupset, and yeah, the brakes sucks. But I saw recently Ltwoo is just releasing a groupset with full hydraulic disc brakes, and definitely wanna try out

:))
An "unsafe" frame 🤔 I guess it is hit or miss with these generic no brand frames. However I know some guys in my local race scene who for years raced on cheap Chinese no name frames for a while because they were broke college kids but they dominated the P/1/2 field at the time and they loved those bikes. They're pro cyclists now, sponsored by a pro team, and ride 12K+ bikes
Tape, not a word about Pinarello and no real (mechanical) arguments how this frame relates to the real Dogma F, like you did in a previous video…. And i see the first video has been removed?
I conclude this video has been ‘influenced’, at least…..
Dude how do you make video with this frameset and not even mention pinarello once. You really are sell out now. Im out.
He'd probably lose his channel and be subject to a law suit you mong. The previous two videos have already been taken down. Can you not see the tape all over it.
😂😂😂
Hahahahahahaaaaa
@@ChrisYTube82 there are fuck ton of pinarello copy frameset on aliexpress and it is up to you do buy them but if you do promote them officially, you probably deserve lawsuit.
@@lee1987923 nah, Pinarello should be sued for charging 7k for a bicycle frame. That's ridiculous. I pass Pinarello's on the trail all day on my Velobuild 😂 nothing about them is that special
