I don't get it. "Late Check-Out" to me sounds like checking out of a hotel. But this guy was in a house, so I didn't understand what was happening. And who was the dude who pushed him aside to leave? This was very confusing.
This is all pure speculation since I'm not a part of the production crew nor have I been in contact with them. To my understanding, the house doesn't let new guys leave until the previous one has left, so Guy #2 has been there all along and has now sacrificed Guy #1 to the house (but Guy #2 left his keys so he's hesitant to go back). As per your first question, it's probably too expensive to rent a hotel for a 1-minute clip so they just implied their house is an AirBnB.
