I really struggled with smartphone addiction. Thats why i switched from a iPhone to a used 80€ Pixel 4a to use it as a minimalist Smartphone. It has all essentials installed that would never work on a Dumbphone like Navigation, Whatsapp, Spotify, Booking, Transport tickets, Authenticator, Email, Banking and Payment. I also installed the Niagara Launcher and turned the display to Grayscale. While a dumb phone might seem like a solution, it’s just too impractical for daily life. Smartphones are amazing tools for a reason, it’s the distractions that make them problematic. The key is to use them intentionally and set clear boundaries to avoid them taking over your life.
Back in the early-mid 2000s we could text rapidly with the keypad and didn't need to look at the phone at all to know whether it was accurate or not, when I got my first smartphone I hated using a touchscreen to text, so much slower than the old phone keypads, swipe gestures nowadays have made the smartphone experience much better though.
Yes! Nokia had some feature phones with good cameras, but also some other brands. Nowadays there isn't really a dumb phone of high quality, because there isn't a big market for it
That video recorded with the phone is just like mid 2000 era.. Gosh that brings back so many memories.. thank you for the great content.. keep it up..
Thank you so much! Glad you enjoyed it

I agree! Sounds like a great solution. And having a nice camera is also important, which dumb phones don't have

Nope, not going back to dumb phones. They're just way too restrictive, even if you don't consider social media.
That’s the whole point
I use a Nokia 6070 as a secondary device.
