There is no reason to be in some of those areas other than for criminal intent. You are there to buy or sell drugs.
I deliver for Amazon, and I have been sent to Hazel Park distribution center and routed in SE Detroit and Dearborn Heights.... my god. I can't believe they send someone out there with a van full of merch by themselves. 4 out of 5 houses boarded up or burned out. People that may or may not be dead sleeping on the porches. Random screaming and gunfire.
I skipped a whole apartment complex cus there was like 20 people having a brawl in front of the gate. I delivered to a section 8 apartment tower that smelled like armpits and crack.
But then you go 3 blocks and its nicer homes, kids playing outside, its clean, there are buisnesses open.

But then my neighborhood is nice, on Sylvan Lake, no crime. I don't lock my car, nothing gets ripped off. I don't even worry about it.
But theeennnn there are obvious prostitutes at the gas station after midnight alllll the time. 😂

No this is what happens when they grow up with no education and no parenting whatsoever. They steal a candy at 5 y/o and no one cares. They fail every achievement in school and no one cares. How do expect them to be honorable and honest people. No one would care if they were either.
