The sunk cost fallacy - ever heard the saying don't throw good money after bad? we have a tendency to continue on a path simply because we've already invested time and money into it. But here's the thing, if what you've been doing isn't working, the time and money you've put into it won't come back no matter how much more you put in. so it's actually better to cut your losses and move on. 2. Your real hourly wage - a lot of us think the number on our paycheck is what we make, but it's not. businesses understand this concept: your income is not your profit, because you had to spend money to earn that income. Additionally, you're likely working more hours than you're getting paid for, and this doesn't account for the additional hours you stress and worry about work on your "you time". When you actually do the calculation most people find they're making a lot less than they thought. What would it feel like to leave your stressful job and work somewhere that makes you happy (like being a dog walker, or on a lavender farm)?
