It's so funny, I just finished a secretary almost exactly like yours. it wasn't missing anything, even had every key for every drawer. But it had sat in a garage for many years, so it was more than a little sad and dirty. I took it all apart and took my time with it. Very pleased with how it came out but it never occurred to me to repurpose it. So glad I watched your video. Thank you for sharing, You always have such good ideas,
Aww thank you. Yes they are so beautiful! This one was tricky will all the damage done to it but ugh I couldn’t imagine dumping it. Too much history in these lovely pieces. So glad you could save yours too! And the key was still with it! So fun!

Absolutely love it although I don't love the top finial and scrolls. The drawers came up wonderfully. The wallpaper is so refreshing. I live to use wallpaper on my projects. It just adds a little something. CONGRATULATIONS on your debt free announcement.

I am so happy to see how you have 'lemonaded' so fast. So proud of you for this piece,too. I have a great piece much like this with clawed feet done as a centenary piece probably bought 1910(Pennsylvania?) In good shape. Want to stick and peel wallpaper the inside shelves now at least I shall know how to do it easily. Will be watching for that show from just west of Philly. Stay well.

May I ask, what you charged for this piece? Thank You.
Just wondering…how do you decide whether to seal a piece with wax like you did this one, or to use polyurethane like you have in many videos?
Wax leaves a matte finish and is great on pieces that won’t be high traffic. Poly is great for surfaces that will get lots of use.
Nice but I think it was a mistake to white wash the drawers.
How many pieces do you flip a week and how did you get started?
These days we flip one a week on average. Sometimes 2. Depends on the amount of custom work we have. We started on our own bedroom furniture. lol. Thanks for watching!

How do u get rid of the “old smell” of old antique furniture?
I like to use Zinzer spray can clear primer. It's a yellow can that says it blocks odors. Be sure to spray every inch of the inside! Good luck!
Which HVLP gun do you use?
the $15 one from Harbor Frieght
It seems a shame to have painted the mahogany. Wish you had kept the wood look.
