What can I use to fill gap on inside, the hole where the flue goes into wall to chimney? The cement that was there is crumbling and I’m getting a little gap. Thanks

If you need to replace the whole brick use a power drill with hammer action and masonry bit to drill out the bed joint enough so you can get a hand saw in and cut the muck joint all the way along then use a chisel to break out the brick
I watched something and now have a half of an idea of what to do. I think. Probably not. I have still have no idea what I am doing 😂 It was a beautiful job, I just couldn't see the products used, the chop/ slapping technique to mix it (?) with the trowel. I assume the water applied to a brush was for cleaning or better adhesive maybe? I just have so many additional questions I didn't have before the video that some captions or dialogue would have answered is all. Unless I am blind or deaf and don't know it and missed it. Like I said, beautiful job but for an idiot like me who has never done masonry type work I am now even more confused than ever 😂
nick evans not being silly mate. You don’t need to be foaming everything in sight. Masonry gets replaced with masonry. Stick to what you know decorating .
This was not on the estimate to done at all... it looked better than it did and was waterproof.. the foam was to stop the mortar from just dropping into the wall cavity... foam has many uses great stuff.

Sorry about that will do better.. thanks
How come you left out most of the footage
Can I do this in layers and put normal polyfilla as the last layer? Can I drill into that also?
I just squirt some gap filler in it. Then paint it.
You should invest in a Go Pro camera. Then both hands are free
Have got one it's just your phone is always with you.
Cut out brick replace with new brick. No foam needed. 😂

Very tidy!
Thanks.
it's completely invisible. You would never know there had been a hole.
:-)
What is the Foam for?
It makes it more waterproof dries fast.
Maybe invest in some red mortar dye
was not worth buying for just a quick patch.. it looked better and was waterproof... but I know what you mean.
Why was a broom handle stuck in the wall? 😳
Witch crash..
Well that's nearly four minutes of my life I'll never get back...
