"They write their religion with their own hands and say this is from God." To change it to suit their desires, their outcomes. Which religion is preserved for all times? We hear and obey vs we hear and disobey.
@@muslimeen1930 They write their religion, changes like the wind blowing upon this earth. Where as we say in Islam God has sovereignty over religion. He created the legislation, unlike other religions that change it from time to time to suit their desires.
I have watched all your videos and finally caught up with your channel. It took me 10 days. What an intellectual feast it was. Now I am hooked and waiting for more. Your channel will be a great source for the ones who seek the truth. May Allah be pleased with you.
@@pekde So jesus is a human being and we reject the idea of worshiping a man, a weak god that had to eat sleep used the bathroom and suck on a women breast and was taken care by a women. And even in the bible jesus submitted his will to his father just like we muslims submit our wills to the will of the creator, he prayed to the father like we pray to the creator, and allah is most gracoius and most merciful he would not let something so bad happen to his messenger
Dear Paul, thank you for making these vids. They are addictive. Just a bit of suggestion. I have to turn up the volume but when the ads come out suddenly in the middle, they are ear busting. Not sure if anyone else is facing this. Perhaps a clip on mic may solve it. Thank you again.
BRO. Paul, I've been watching you do the speakers corner debates for years....this is a magnificent resource for the information you try to disseminate in the debates without interruption. Valuable resources
@Justoo keep believing the devils propaganda. If I have to go thru a priest or drink blood and eat flesh and take a bath to reach heaven. Then that’s just paganism. welcome to reality.
@Justoo lol you just proved my point. Why does gods religion need 1000 sects. That’s when you know it’s man made. Islam is the final revelation. Go read the clear Quran to find the truth. If you don’t want to or choose not to that’s your own devil telling you to run away from the truth and worship a man called jesus.
@Justoo actually in the Quran it states there is one type of Muslim. Anyone ascribing names to themselves or create sections like you pagans will taste the fire. Also the kaaba was originally built by Abraham. So I don’t see your point. On top of this on the day of judgement you will run to jesus and say my lord and he will say get away from me I don’t know you. Watch. See. I gave you the sign. It was your arrogance to ignore. I have read the bible. It’s full of paganism.
@Val why are you forcing divinity on the messenger of Allah? He did not claim to be God. Clinging on to your religion due to subjective reasons will not guarantee you salvation from eternal torment. I suggest you try being objective.
@Val a council gathers and decides to give divinity to the son of man as if it is their right to do so. They decide that you are a heretic if you believe otherwise. Where else did Christians get that idea from?
Frankly your channel is one of the best channel for comparative religion study, for understanding truth about islam religion; Western countries and American continent need a channel like this
So tell me, which Arabic version of the quran do you use and why that one? Or do you not even know that there are some 40 different versions of the Arabic quran we know of? Of course all these qurans were written by unknown authors. And how do you deal with all the mistakes, discrepancies, inconsistencies and contradictions in that quran as well as the approval of evil such as raping women who have been captures in battle (surah 33:50) which is adultery and wife beating (surah 4:34) as well as child marriage (surah 65:4) which means that Mohammed and his allah approved of raping little prepubescent girls. And we see that Mohammed led by example when he married a 6 year old child and then raped that child when it was just 9 years old. Clearly Mohammed disqualified himself as a prophet of GOD by the evil he perpetrated. And remember all of islam is only based what Mohammed maybe recited and how he lived. So tell me, why do you even believe that you will be with GOD in heaven on judgement day when you follow Mohammed? And do show the quran verses on which you base your belief. Remember our ONE TRUE GOD of the Bible promises every person that if they accept Jesus as their saviour and follow what Jesus commanded until they die, they will be with GOD in heaven. As Mohammed claimed to be the final prophet, surely he promised the same for people who follow Mohammed? If not where does it leave you my friend?
It’s funny how Christians are using Jewish Bible to support their own conclusion (theological doctrine about Jesus and God) and ignore the understanding of the “owner” of the scripture (Jews) who had been using it for thousand of years.

In the LXX(52) translation of the Old Testament it is translated the same as Quoted in Hebs 10:5. LXX PS 39:6-7. In the Septuagint(Greek OT) it is PS 40:6-7 in the LXX the chapter is PS 39: 6-7. The LXX was a OT translation done by 52 Jewish Scholar. So it is possible there was no error in translation or mistake. It may have been a quote from a OT version similar to the LXX. There is a theory that in the first century there was a version of the OT that did not make it to our time.
Even if the scribe made an inadvertent mistake Christian organizations intentionally lied in promulgating the mistake So much for the christian reverence of their god's words
Thank you Prof. for these enlightening videos. You are so clear and smart. Really wonderful job. May you make another video about this topic, with other examples about misquotes of the Bible in the new testament? Thank you very much. 🌸🌸🌸
Those to whom Paul wrote had copies (or translations) of the Hebrew Scriptures older than those we have today and could investigate his quotations, in a way similar to that of the people of Beroea. The inclusion of these writings by the Christian congregation of the first century gives evidence of their acceptance of such quotations as part of the inspired Word of God.
I think the main problem with christianity is they don't have the ORIGINAL bible direct from jesus to defent on. What they have are translations of the bible and written by persons who never even met jesus. Many of christians are choose to keep what they are believe rather than to find the truth.
Thank you brother Paul for this wonderful source of information. I appreciate the scholarly approach and the complete absence of unnecessary flashy intros, terrible humor, and long winded rhetorical fillers. Because of people like you, we have come a long way from the days where the only source of theological engagement and faith building work came from Zakir Naik and the cringe inducing "Answering-Christianity" website. Keep up the amazing work.
@@roula-slf Paul is muslim alhamdulillah... Zakir Naik is a veteran, love him...answering christiniaty website also has some awesome content...but is unfortunately badly laid out and congested..
@@roula-slf I never claimed anything is "wrong" with Zakir Naik per se. However, the contemporary apologetics landscape has changed vastly over the last two decades. Zakir Naik has done marvelous things for the cause of Islam, that I concede. But his overly simplistic treatment of very complex matters does more harm than good many times--his perspectives on evolution, for example, lack erudition, scholarly nuance, and is completely devoid of actual scientific substance. Similar things can be said about his interpretation of "between the ribs and the backbone," verse. He has become somewhat of a meme these days for his views on highly abstruse theological matters that require a sophisticated philosophical inquiry--which he does not offer, ever. I can't imagine Zakir Naik debating a William Lane Craig, for instance, and holding his ground as he did with pastors and priests of years past. Like I said, we have an emerging robust movement--consisting of individuals like Paul, Mohammad Hijab, The Muslim Skeptic, The Muslim Metaphycisian, the team from speaker's corner, etc.--that can and do deal with the new and highly academic field of religious dialogue/debate. Of course, there are many anti-Islamic sources that employ blatant level sophistry, but one has to understand philosophy to some degree to refute it. I don't mean to make this comments section a place for a debate. So, I will end it here.
Rabbi Tovia Singer here on UA-cam is amazing at digging deep into these topics. He knows the New Testament better than many Christians. The most interesting one to listen to is the virgin birth topic. I was literally on the edge of my seat while watching his video. I learned Hebrew for two years in Israel which really helped me out. Rabbi Avraham Feld Is another one that has really helped me. If you are making the transition out of christianity but have your believe in God, then Avraham Feld would be someone I would recommend.
There was nothing intentionally deceptive nor is there error The error comes from a lack of study “Dug out ears” is a reference to God the Father making a body, complete with ‘dug out ears’ It means the same thing Christ Jesus is the incarnate GOD through whom there is redemption available for sin
The Quran uses the word "Injil" to refer to the Gospel. Injil is an arabized greek word via syro-aramaic of "εὐαγγέλιον". I don't think The Noble Quran uses a greek word for no reason. It's telling us something. The use of the greek word in The Noble Quran indicates that it authorizes the greek Gospel.
@@Unlimi-PT The Quran says this: there is no mention of the name of the child. Muslim scholars assume it to be Ishmael pbuh. But it isn't specified. And Abraham prayed: “O my Sustainer! Bestow upon me the gift of [a son who shall be] one of the righteous!” - whereupon We gave him the glad tiding of a boy-child gentle (like himself) And (one day,) when [the child] had become old enough to share in his [father’s] endeavors, the latter said: “O my dear son! I have seen in a dream that I should sacrifice thee: consider, then, what would be thy view!” He answered: “O my father! Do as thou art bidden: thou wilt find me, if God so wills, among those who are patient in adversity. But as soon as the two had surrendered themselves to [what they thought to be the will of God], and [Abraham] had laid him down on his face. We called out to him: “O Abraham, thou hast already fulfilled [the purpose of] that dream- vision!” Thus, verily, do We reward the doers of good: or, behold, all this was indeed a trial, clear in itself.” And We ransomed him with a tremendous sacrifice and left him thus to be remembered among later generation. Brilliant Video. Could you explain to us what was the understanding of early christian groups about the 'parakletos' and if there are reports that some groups regarded it as 'periklytoa'? Really interested in this topic but I am not familiar with thr sources to investigate...
One of the biggest problems with the Bible as it stands today is that it forces us to look at Hebrew and Aramaic scriptures through Greek and Latin glasses as seen by people who are neither Jews,Greeks, nor Romans. All of the so called“original”manuscripts available today are written in Greek. The verses ofJohn1:1is exactly equivalent to such verses asPsalms82:6:“I havesaid,Ye(theJews) are gods;and all of you are children of the most High”,or Exodus7:1:“And the LORD said unto Moses,See,I have made thee a god to Pharaoh”The Jews had no trouble reading such verses while still affirming that there is only one God in existence and vehemently denying the divinity of all but God almighty. It is the continuous filtration of these manuscripts through different language and cultures as well as the Roman Catholic church’s extensive efforts to completely destroy all of the original Hebrew Gospels, which has led to this misunderstanding of the verses. If I were an American, and I were to tell, for example, the citizens of China:“Hit the road men,”we would more than likely find countless people beating the street with sticks.Did they understandt hewords?Yes!Did they understand the meaning? No!
The Septuagints were translated over many years by different translators. The original translators the 70 Jewish scholars only translated the 5 Books of Moses. The rest of the Old Testament was translated by pseudo-Septuagint translators. We don’t know who they were. But we do know that they translated those texts at a later stage probably in the middle of 1century
Brother Paul, I would like to recommend you a book, the title is The Holy Bible From Ancient Eastern Manuscripts by George M. Lamsa. It contains the Old and New Testament Translated from the Peshitta, The Authorized Bible of The Church of The East. I hope you will find it beneficial. Psalms 40:6 reads as follows: "Sacrifices and offerings thou didst not desire; but as for me I now have understanding; burnt offering and sin offering has thou not required. 40:7 Then said I, Lo, I come, in the begining of the books, it is written of me.
Sahih International Surah Al Baqarah 2:79, So woe to those who write the "scripture" with their own hands, then say, "This is from Allah ," in order to exchange it for a small price. Woe to them for what their hands have written and woe to them for what they earn.
Hebrews 10:5 says, "when Christ came into the world, he said, 'Sacrifices and offerings thou hast not desired, but a body hast thou prepared for me". Christ replaces, "thou hast given me an open ear"--Psalm 40:6, with, "a body hast thou prepared for me". Jesus simply makes a distinction between himself and the Psalmist making himself the fulfillment of God's ultimate and only effective sacrifice for sin. Jesus is not misquoting the Psalm, he is adding, without contradiction, that God prepared a body for him to be a literal "once and for all" sacrifice that will end all others.
Sometimes are the choices made for emphasis? As in Jesus' entry into Jerusalem in John 12: [15] "Fear not, daughter of Zion; / behold, your king is coming, sitting on an ass's colt!” HB citation, RSV: Zech 9.9: Rejoice greatly, O daughter of Zion! Shout aloud, O daughter of Jerusalem! Lo, your king comes to you; / triumphant and victorious is he, humble and riding on an ass, on a colt the foal of an ass. (John has a different: 'fear not' rather than 'rejoice greatly'; no 'triumphant and victorious' and no 'daughter of Jerusalem!') These are strategic choices to challenge the general Jewish expectation. Thank you so much for your great channel!
Subhana Rabbi al A'laa. I always found it odd that the bible uses European names for many characters with in it. Did the Greeks anglicised names as well meanings? Interpolation? Scholars (non muslim) surely have pointed to this.
Very interesting! I had never heard or thought of this "discrepancy" before. However, the Hebrew writer attributes the quotation to Jesus. "...when He came into the world, He said:..." (v 5) So, as attested by the Hebrew writer, in verse 5, the quote comes from Jesus, not the LXX.
How many people say they are contradictions in it it’s just whether you like to except that there are contradictions in it or not but people have made a list you can look it up online. Look up skeptics annotated Quran.
You do know that Paul does not reveal anything about the NT, he only refers to parts that he presents as being important when no NT scholar even considers them relevant.
Do you think that Jews in those centuries were really reading from Greek translations of the Tanakh, or is it possible that they were reading from the Hebrew text, perhaps alongside some sort of Greek translation? I ask this because, in America for example, Orthodox Jews typically study the Torah in Hebrew alongside an English translation, and in some cases just with the Hebrew itself.
@@BloggingTheology I see, so what did they make of this verse, for example, which said "You have prepared for me a body," which seems to point to the truth of Christianity?
To @HashemIsBeautiful I don't think you watched the video. IF you did then you did not understand it. IF you did understand it then the question is, what do you make of it? Because that Verse was misquoted from the Old Testament. It's a misquotation. It's a misquotation from the Verse below. Psa 40:6 Sacrifice and offering thou didst not desire; mine ears hast thou opened: burnt offering and sin offering hast thou not required. Now you have two choices; 1) The misquotation was done deliberately. which implies deception. 2) The misquotation was done by lack of understanding, Hebrew. which implies ignorance. What is your answer?
@@Toronado2 For the record, I'm an Orthodox Jew and I speak Hebrew, it's my first language. Yes, I agree with all that you've said above. Let me rephrase my question to BloggingTheology: If the Jews were reading the Greek translation, how did they respond to this misquote? The purpose of my question to BloggingTheology was whether they _knew_ that the Septuagint was a mistranslation, or whether they were ignorant of what the original Hebrew said? My assumption is that they studied their text in the original Hebrew, although BloggingTheology's response to me was that they studied it in the Greek. This is my assumption because this is how most Orthodox Jews study today, i.e., in the Hebrew alongside with the English, so we can tell if there are any discrepancies. The majority of Orthodox Jews don't use the English at all.
To @@hashemisbeautiful6615 The way you asked your question was as though you were speaking as a Christian. Quote; "I see, so what did they make of this verse, for example, which said "You have prepared for me a body," which seems to point to the truth of Christianity?" First the Jews would not be reading that Verse at all because it was not their Scripture. If there was some that did read it for studying purposes that would not be binding on them regardless of the meaning that they understood from it. Anyway as a Muslim I believe you should consider Islam as the confirmation of the promises given to the Children of Abraham. Good by
I think and do believe that God(Allah), through Paul making the things clear for Christians in understanding of the God’s Message through His Scriptures both Bible and Quran so that there is no excuse for them on the Day of Judgement. Paul’s admiring work is very plain and eye opening and it seems the purpose behind his works is meant towards admonishing to the Christians a last call of sorts.
The text of the Tanakh must have been very well preserved as witnessed by the dead Sea scrolls, so this confusion between ears and body as you say, seems ludicrous.
Islam challanges all bible believers by correcting the bible edited sacrifice story. If you believe in bible, this is a challenge for you from bible itself: Since his parents were promised by God before the birth of Isaac that he shall be multiplied& kings from his off spring according to Genesis 17:17& 17:19, then were is the sacrifice or any test at all in Abraham taking Isaac to the slaughter, when he already knew Isaac shall live to make him grandchildren? We know you cannot answer this obvious forgery by the scribes in what used to be holy scripture, but the Noble Quran not only corrects this bible mistake, the Noble Quran brings back what was deleted ftom bible: The belief in the concept of an afterlife- totally eliminated ftom.the Jewish bible (1st five books). May be these people don't want to return to see God! To know God is to love Him and want to go back to God& meet Him in the afterlife- enter His kingdom - paradise Therefore, read the Book of God, the Noble Quran instead of corrupted books men who don't want to meet God messed with& took out the belief in the afterlife from it, that bible leads not to God but to loss for eternity, sadly
Dead sea scrolls does not confirm the validity of Tanakh as a single complete divine revelations, or so I believe. It still not yet finished out of research, due to politics intervention in owning of the scrolls. Some of the scrolls is just personal account of opinions, unrelated with any bible, some scrolls is partially undecipherable due to extended damage it received. Much of it is unknown to public because the secrecy of the Israeli regime.
Will this help Christians get enlightened? But they don't want the fulcrum of their corrupt system be broken. Their existence depends on 'body' not 'ear'
Paul, sorry to bother you again. In a few of your videos you used a couple of big blue reference books. I’ve been going through your vids but can’t find them. (Sorry to be a bit vague). I remember thinking that I must look into them deeper when I saw the videos but didn’t write down the references. Do you know the ones I’m referring to? Sorry again.
Is it an issue for Allah to use name Isa for the son of Mary? Is it necessary for us to check how Isa being called in other languages. Why no Christians correcting the prophet Muhammad PBUH for addressing son of Mary as Isa? All muslim knows for Quran is refering to whom when name Isa being mentioned in Quran verses.
Violently agreeing: Why wouldn't the Hebrew NT authors use their own TaNacH instead of the Septuagint? The Hebrew Bible is the same since Moshe/Moses and was proofread by Hebrews as they came to Jerusalem to keep The Three Pilgrimage Feasts. No matter if from Eastern and Western Europe, Iraq, Iran, India, China, Syria, Turkey, Ethiopia, Libya, Tunis, Algiers, and Maroc ---they pulled out The Hebrew Bible Proofed it and went back to their respective countries. There were no counting errors and there were no spelling errors, to this day! The eighth principle of Maimon (RamBaM--Rabbi Moshe ben Maimon--the Torah Scholar and physician to the King of Egypt) states and I paraphrase; 'The Torah within our hands is the same Torah given to us by our teacher Moshe/Moses'. Why use a version that was forced and sequestered by 72 Rabbis in 72 different places to write a version of the so called OT? Not one of those Rabbis were murdered because they 'forgot' their Torah thereby adding or subtracting from the TaNacH! Why would they use an inferior product after so much violence? Unless, the agenda was to write an inferior Bible to fit their story and create a different religion in an attempt to take as many Hebrews and Gentiles to their eternal death? Torah613(for Hebrews) and Torah7(for Gentiles/Nations)! The first command for Torah613 is 'I am the G-d who took you out of the land of Egypt'! Torah7 picks up at the second command, "You shall not have any other G-d to compare with me.' Whether you are Torah613 or Torah7, there is no one but He/The God of Israel!
The original Qur'an The original Qur'an was burnt: Muhammad died in 632AD Abu Bakr the first caliph ruled for 2 years during which he stared the first compilation and he completed it before he died and kept it. The second Caliph Umar ruled for 10 years from 634 to 644 AD and he was in custody of the manuscripts until he died after which Hafsa his daughter kept custody of it. During the rule of Uthman Ibn Affan (who ruled 12 years after Muhammed had died) that is 12 years after the first Qur'an was compiled. Uthman ruled for 12 years so in between the period he was ruling, people called his attention to the different ways people were reciting the Qur'an. (This process was the norm even when Muhammad was alive and Muhammad didn't think of unifying the Qur'an into one dialect because Muhammad himself said the Qur'an was revealed to him in 7 different dialects as there were 7 Arab tribes at that time. -Quraysh, Hudhayl, Tameem, Hawaazin, Thaqeef, Kinaanah and Yemen each with their own dialects when the time the Qur'an was revealed. But Uthman decided to unify the Qur'an into one standard version when neither ALLAH nor MUHAMMAD gave him such instruction when Muhammad was alive. So Uthman sent for the manuscript with Hafsa. “... so 'Uthman sent a message to Hafsa saying “Send us the manuscripts of the Qur'an so that we may compile the Qur'anic materials in perfect copies and return the manuscripts to you. “ Hafsa sent it to Uthman”. 'Uthman then ordered Zaid bin Thabit, ' Abdullah bin AzZubair, Said bin Al-as, and AbdurRaman bin Harith bin Hasham to rewrite the manuscripts in perfect copies..... …..“Sahih Bukahri 6:61:510 So Uthman ordered his scribes to write the new Qur'an in the dialect of the Quraysh and when they were done with the editing and standardization the buried the evidence with their alterations by burying the evidence. “...Uthman sent to every Muslim in all the Arab provinces one copy of what they had copied, and ordered that all other Qur'anic materials, whether written in fragmentary manuscripts or whole copies, to be burnt....” Sahih Bukahri 6:61:510 Hence the Qur'an sent to all the provinces were compiled during the reign of Uthman who started ruling 12 years after the death of Muhammad and ruled for a further 12 more years while the compilation and editing was done during his reign which was 652A.D. 20 years after Muhammad had died. Also, as at that point in 652A.D. There were no 'Diacritical marks in Arabic Language', it only came into existence in the 8th century and the 9th century, long after Muhammad had died and long after Uthman had given out his own standard version of the Qur'an. The Arabis skeletal script is without the 'Diacritical marks' and vowel. Fathah = ah Dhammah = oo Kasrah = ii None of the above dialect marks existed in the time of Muhammad nor Uthman in 652 A.D. And the present day Qur'an has them? Therefore that means nobody in the world has the original Quran with the original language without 'Diacritical marks and vowelization and that means the Qur'an compile today is not the same as the one Muhammad supposedly received. Therefore there are no such original Qur'an. Amen
@Abdullah SlaveOfAllah Ignorant? It is such sadness that all Muslims are so misguided. The true path CHOSEN and FAVOURED by GOD with Abraham is with ISAAC and not Ishmael. Amen
I just read in prophets where god said I will come myself will come . There is the visitation mentioned in prophets and many other words of Christ's betrayal and sufferings . But yes some bad translatings all over the place in our english bibles .
Hi Paul. Both readings of Psalm 40:6, either ear or body make the same point. If you have ears you are given a body, and pierced ears are a reference to the Hebrew freed slave devoted to his master. In Hebrews 10 the emphasis is on the obedience of the "will" of Christ.
To Samuel green You remember when Peter said to Jesus, not you lord. Jesus rebuked him as Satan? "You are an offense..." But when Jesus also had a change of heart and Prayed to God that this cup be taken away. This shows that IF we are to be fair, Jesus at this point should be rebuked as Satan. Because Jesus also wanted "FAR BE IT". That "this shall not happen to You/Him!” From the NKJV.
@@Toronado2 Thanks for the comment but no, Peter and Jesus are not the same. Peter said the cross was not God's will. Jesus accepted as God's will but asked the Father that it not be this way.
To @Samuel Green That is YOUR interpretation to the text. Besides Peter could be given the benefit of the doubt because he did NOT know God's WILL. What was Jesus' excuse? Jesus did NOT want this thing to happen while KNOWING God's WILL (in fact knowing His OWN will)! Jesus should be held to a HIGHER standard. You are trying to diminish Jesus' role and hold Peter to a higher standard. That's okay by me because that highlights the FLAWS in Christian Apologetics. Also Christians misrepresent Jesus; Mat 26:39 And he went a little further, and fell on his face, and prayed, saying, let this cup pass from me: nevertheless not as I will, but as thou wilt. 1) "O my Father, if it be possible," DIDN"T Jesus KNOW that it was NOT possible? Besides NOT knowing the hour, here is a second exhibition of lack of Jesus' KNOWLEDGE! 2) "let this cup pass from me" How can Jesus make this request whilst KNOWING God's WILL? Can YOU make this prayer whilst KNOWING God's WILL today? Better yet, Are YOU GLAD that Jesus went through the suffering that he did for your egotistic desires? 3) "nevertheless NOT as I will, but as thou WILT. " This IS the Misrepresentation that I am specifically referring to. This statement of Jesus does NOT say that Jesus is "willing" to go through with the Sacrifice at all. On the CONTRARY Jesus is saying "I DON'T want to go through with THIS" Please Father take this cup from me HOWEVER you WILL to do it! Jesus is saying I may want this Cup to pass a certain way BUT I really don't care HOW You do it, JUST do it any WAY you see fit! Now that is the proper translation of the statement Jesus makes and if it weren't for Christians supposed Salvation they would be able to acknowledge that. Anyway I am honored that you decided to write back to me.
To @Samuel Green Come to think of it, Jesus statement is a direct answer to your assertion that Peter said "the cross was not God's will". Jesus said "let this cup pass from me"! Was this "CUP" not God's WILL? Jesus here in no uncertain terms does NOT want God's WILL! So when you say quote; "Peter said the cross was not God's will. Jesus accepted as God's will but asked the Father that it not be this way." There is NO difference between the TWO. And if you want to be really critical about it, Peter did NOT say He did NOT want God's WILL. He didn't even KNOW God's will at this point to make such a claim. Also "FAR BE IT" does NOT denote Peter's NOT WANTING God's WILL. It indicates a LOVE and Desire NOT to see Jesus go through the suffering that he can only assume of it's extent. I believe that Christians further suffer Jesus today with their apologetics on top of whatever he endured at the time ( not saying that he was crucified).
Luke 13:1-5 New International Version (NIV) 13 Now there were some present at that time who told Jesus about the Galileans whose blood Pilate had mixed with their sacrifices. 2 Jesus answered, “Do you think that these Galileans were worse sinners than all the other Galileans because they suffered this way? 3 I tell you, no! But unless you repent, you too will all perish. 4 Or those eighteen who died when the tower in Siloam fell on them-do you think they were more guilty than all the others living in Jerusalem? 5 I tell you, no! But unless you repent, you too will all perish. ’”
There is no accidental mistakes in translations of holy scripts..! Allah SWT says in Qur'an that they write it by their own hands and tell people that they are from Allah SWT..! They tampered with the various verses of holy scripts and they will pay for them with eternal HELL FIRE..!
A man who has belived in lies and is standing on lies will be afraid of the exposure of truth, truth is the word, law, commandments and ordinances of God Yehovah in the law snd the prophets
you can see the difference between scholars and priests / pastors, who really are not scholars ! Given the choice I would always listen to scholars as they are unbiased and scientific in their approach with no hidden agenda !
Isn't it that the OT manuscripts we have are not exact reolicas if the original Hebrew texts, but slightly ourposely altered ones? ( With some accidental errors as well). And isnt it true that sometimes the Septuagint reflects the okder Hebrew better? That we dont have, unless we have it in the Dead Sea Scrolls.
Speaking of Misquotes why does Mohammad think that the Jews believe Ezra is the Son of God? 9.30. The Jews said, “Ezra is the son of God,” and the Christians said, “The Messiah is the son of God.” These are their statements, out of their mouths. They emulate the statements of those who blasphemed before. May God assail them! How deceived they are! Whoops Mohammad, you didn't do your homework. Maybe Paul you can do yours and explain this mistake which makes no sense
It is no wonder the Quran states ...in the lines of " woe unto those who changed the word of God by their own hands and say it is from God"!! Interestingly enough Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) could not read nor write Arabic let alone Hebrew Greek and Latin and to have known this fact to put it in the Quran! "You have dug out ears for me" also doesn't mean what it says in plain English, it's clearly some sort of Hebrew idiom, and no one has a copy of the original Hebrew Bible, sir, don't pretend you don't know how young the Masoretic is compared to the LXX & the DSS, meaning none of us know what the original wording was, even scribes could've slightly altered passages to keep up with the evolution of the language, so that something written the way it used to be worded doesn't end up meaning something completely different in modern parlances.
But you were told that the evil one will plant the tare in the works an expectation just like I shall not speak to you much longer for the Prince of this world come after me who has nothing to do with me John 14:30

“Ears you have dug out for me” is in reference to how slavery was established according to the Torah. “Pierce his ear with an awl. Then he will be your servant for life.” So psalm 40 is saying you have made me your servant for life. So again we have another example of Jesus taking the law and showing the pinnacle of it. Jesus doesn’t just have his ear pierced for Yahweh, he had his whole body pierced for him. Kinda like How Jesus said if you look at a woman lustfully, you have committed adultery in your heart. “Here’s this scholar that says this” is the same thing as “trust me bro”. If you tried just quoting one doctor’s book, you’d be laughed at in any medical field. Appeal to authority fallacy at its finest.
Down here I'm Africa I got a different view about this ... who were Hebrews? Why language did they speak? Maybe Hebrew, so why write to them in Greek translation? So my view this was done on purpose to twist things so that messiah died for sins of many .. but if these rulers were smart enough they should not have quoted the Hebrew scriptures ... I guess they were not .. now they are caught ... also with my little knowledge nowhere in Hebrew scriptures that the messiah would die ...

And (one day,) when [the child] had become old enough to share in his [father’s] endeavors, the latter said: “O my dear son!
No!
I need to read more books. Knowledge is power
So he sacrificed his ear only, not his whole body, for my sins? Well, better than nothing...
Psalms 40:6 reads as follows:
"Sacrifices and offerings thou didst not desire; but as for me I now have understanding; burnt offering and sin offering has thou not required.
40:7 Then said I, Lo, I come, in the begining of the books, it is written of me.
Sahih International Surah Al Baqarah 2:79,
So woe to those who write the "scripture" with their own hands, then say, "This is from Allah ," in order to exchange it for a small price. Woe to them for what their hands have written and woe to them for what they earn.
You do know that Surah 2:79 speaks about "scriptures" made up about the quran.
As in Jesus' entry into Jerusalem in
John 12: [15] "Fear not, daughter of Zion;
/ behold, your king is coming,
sitting on an ass's colt!”
HB citation, RSV:
Zech 9.9:
Rejoice greatly, O daughter of Zion!
Shout aloud, O daughter of Jerusalem!
Lo, your king comes to you;
/ triumphant and victorious is he,
humble and riding on an ass,
on a colt the foal of an ass.
(John has a different: 'fear not' rather than 'rejoice greatly'; no 'triumphant and victorious' and no 'daughter of Jerusalem!') These are strategic choices to challenge the general Jewish expectation.
Thank you so much for your great channel!
They were given an open ear in the passage meaning it was open to insert whatever they wanted to hear. They wanted to hear a body. So it was done.
Subhana Rabbi al A'laa. I always found it odd that the bible uses European names for many characters with in it. Did the Greeks anglicised names as well meanings? Interpolation? Scholars (non muslim) surely have pointed to this.
If any other book had misquoted any book say Tanakh, it would have been accused of misquoting the book
Very interesting! I had never heard or thought of this "discrepancy" before.
However, the Hebrew writer attributes the quotation to Jesus. "...when He came into the world, He said:..." (v 5)
So, as attested by the Hebrew writer, in verse 5, the quote comes from Jesus, not the LXX.
The Qur'an says that if the Qur'an was from anyone other than Allah swt then you will find many contradictions in it.

As a Jew, I must thank you for revealing the truth about the “New Testament” and the misguided teachings of Christianity.
Diaspora Jews usually used the Greek translation.
@@BloggingTheology I see, so what did they make of this verse, for example, which said "You have prepared for me a body," which seems to point to the truth of Christianity?

The purpose of my question to BloggingTheology was whether they _knew_ that the Septuagint was a mistranslation, or whether they were ignorant of what the original Hebrew said?
My assumption is that they studied their text in the original Hebrew, although BloggingTheology's response to me was that they studied it in the Greek. This is my assumption because this is how most Orthodox Jews study today, i.e., in the Hebrew alongside with the English, so we can tell if there are any discrepancies. "I see, so what did they make of this verse, for example, which said "You have prepared for me a body," which seems to point to the truth of Christianity?"
First the Jews would not be reading that Verse at all because it was not their Scripture. If there was some that did read it for studying purposes that would not be binding on them regardless of the meaning that they understood from it. No matter if from Eastern and Western Europe, Iraq, Iran, India, China, Syria, Turkey, Ethiopia, Libya, Tunis, Algiers, and Maroc ---they pulled out The Hebrew Bible Proofed it and went back to their respective countries.

Abu Bakr the first caliph ruled for 2 years during which he stared the first compilation and he completed it before he died and kept it.
…..“Sahih Bukahri 6:61:510
So Uthman ordered his scribes to write the new Qur'an in the dialect of the Quraysh and when they were done with the editing and standardization the buried the evidence with their alterations by burying the evidence.
“...Uthman sent to every Muslim in all the Arab provinces one copy of what they had copied, and ordered that all other Qur'anic materials, whether written in fragmentary manuscripts or whole copies, to be burnt....” Sahih Bukahri 6:61:510
Hence the Qur'an sent to all the provinces were compiled during the reign of Uthman who started ruling 12 years after the death of Muhammad and ruled for a further 12 more years while the compilation and editing was done during his reign which was 652A.D.
Fathah = ah
Dhammah = oo
Kasrah = ii
None of the above dialect marks existed in the time of Muhammad nor Uthman in 652 A.D. And the present day Qur'an has them?
Therefore that means nobody in the world has the original Quran with the original language without 'Diacritical marks and vowelization and that means the Qur'an compile today is not the same as the one Muhammad supposedly received.
Therefore there are no such original Qur'an.
Amen

All Christians know that the letter to the Hebrews was written by an unknown scribe of🤦♂️🤦♂️🤦♂️🤦♂️🤦♂️🤦♂️ Why did you fail to mention this Paul?
I just read in prophets where god said I will come myself will come . There is the visitation mentioned in prophets and many other words of Christ's betrayal and sufferings . But yes some bad translatings all over the place in our english bibles .
Reading all Paul's quotes of the OT it seems strangely out of context
Hi Paul. Both readings of Psalm 40:6, either ear or body make the same point. If you have ears you are given a body, and pierced ears are a reference to the Hebrew freed slave devoted to his master. In Hebrews 10 the emphasis is on the obedience of the "will" of Christ.
Hi. I don't find that a credible explanation Samuel.
To Samuel green
You remember when Peter said to Jesus, not you lord. Jesus rebuked him as Satan? "You are an offense..."
But when Jesus also had a change of heart and Prayed to God that this cup be taken away.
To @Samuel Green
That is YOUR interpretation to the text.
Also Christians misrepresent Jesus;
Mat 26:39
And he went a little further, and fell on his face, and prayed, saying, let this cup pass from me: nevertheless not as I will, but as thou wilt.
To @Samuel Green
Come to think of it, Jesus statement is a direct answer to your assertion that Peter said "the cross was not God's will".
Jesus said "let this cup pass from me"! Was this "CUP" not God's WILL? Jesus here in no uncertain terms does NOT want God's WILL!
So when you say quote;
"Peter said the cross was not God's will. Jesus accepted as God's will but asked the Father that it not be this way."
There is NO difference between the TWO.
This is amazing! Thank you for exposing the church
Luke 13:1-5
New International Version (NIV)
13 Now there were some present at that time who told Jesus about the Galileans whose blood Pilate had mixed with their sacrifices. ’”
i think very obvious paul had an agenda which was to destryed the teaching not just simply misquates
There is no accidental mistakes in translations of holy scripts..!
Allah SWT says in Qur'an that they write it by their own hands and tell people that they are from Allah SWT..! They tampered with the various verses of holy scripts and they will pay for them with eternal HELL FIRE..!
Gr8
A man who has belived in lies and is standing on lies will be afraid of the exposure of truth, truth is the word, law, commandments and ordinances of God Yehovah in the law snd the prophets
Too rich! If you listen with the captions on, when he says "Barr" @10:52, the caption reads "baal". Lol
you can see the difference between scholars and priests / pastors, who really are not scholars ! Given the choice I would always listen to scholars as they are unbiased and scientific in their approach with no hidden agenda !
Soooooo complicated!
James:i really like this new paul
It is no wonder the Quran states ...in the lines of " woe unto those who changed the word of God by their own hands and say it is from God"!! Interestingly enough Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) could not read nor write Arabic let alone Hebrew Greek and Latin and to have known this fact to put it in the Quran! Goes to show how God is reaching out to all mankind through the Quran. Keep up the spirit not sure how many islamic scholar would have come up with such findings.
I’ll try to make that sound like it’s some extraordinary thing like bro it’s very simple all Mohamed have to do is speak and somebody writes for him.
I feel sorry for people who think that God’s word can be changed.
would make an excellent reference book 🙏
Great content ... But please provide on-screen text so as to be easier for us to fact-check and expand on your work.
...dodgy dodgy and more dodgy hence falsehoods attributed to the deity of Prophet Isa(pbuh)
This video is misleading
This Paul specializes in that. He has to keep the Muslim payers happy.
Great video.

Say it is Injeel and it is in Arabic.

Kinda like
How Jesus said if you look at a woman lustfully, you have committed adultery in your heart. “Here’s this scholar that says this” is the same thing as “trust me bro”. If you tried just quoting one doctor’s book, you’d be laughed at in any medical field. Appeal to authority fallacy at its finest.

Thank you for being honest. I get so irritated when people try to do theological acrobatics to justify these problems
Yes it does and purposely too!
It doesn't need any other holly books to understand Christian. Free your mind from other opinion, thoughts, then read the whole Bible, you will get the truth. Use your intelligent.
