- I got a copyright strike, and it feels really bad. I hate that leaks run this entire community, and I can't even discuss them safely. I also discussed the 4.6 content for Genshin Impact... but meh. I am not too interested sadly

This is def a malicious strike. That channel only posted a video 5 days ago after not posting anything for 5 years with 1.45m subs. Someone just bought it and is now trying to get attention by Paris Hiltoning it back into UA-cam searches.

@@montemanjay Problem is, you'd have to give your full legal name and often even a adress to challenge those strikes, which is why they're so common as the striker can see these private information. It's used to blackmail creators because the strike system is so flawed. I might be wrong and YT doesn't require it these days, but it was like that not long ago.

It’s likely a false claim that happened to be flagged by UA-cam’s copyright AI. Just contact UA-cam support to get it removed. And if they won’t, threaten legal action against the company that striked you.

Seems like this isn't an actual strike from Hoyo. I think this strike is from some dude with malicious intent to get a reaction from you and probably other content creators, and to stir up more drama. They probably saw that you were pretty down from the early creator server stuff, and just wanted to make you more sad. And unfortunately, UA-cam does not have the best copyright system so they probably just gave UA-cam a reason that sounded reasonable and got your video striked, and these types of people are just plagues that will never go away. Don't worry about it all that much, and you could probably appeal it and win. Keep up the good work Tash man and don't let this strike put you down, because that's what they want.
Also, let's hope some people actually use their brains and watch the entire video with 100% attention span, because I can already see people trying to stir up some more drama.

@@Xterminatorr I don’t even think the problem is mainly coming from HSR CCs, because a lot of HSR CCs are cool. I think the problem comes from the CCs who came from Genshin, and are playing HSR because it’s a Hoyo IP and are sponsored. And unfortunately, a good chunk of the Genshin community are giga toxic or immature as fuck.

Copyright strike from “RossCreations”? Definitely weird, that account hasn’t been active for 5 years since his main channel is now “VlogCreations”.
The latest video is pretty suspicious too on “RossCreations”, makes me assume that the account was recently bought, or even hacked.
It’s just an edited re-upload of video on his main channel VlogCreations from 4 months back.
Looking at the description of the upload from “RossCreations” as well, he’s linked a merch shop, however, it’s a completely different link from Ross’ (VlogCreations) official shop.
The new owner of the account probably attempted to make some money by uploading on the channel, but it probably flopped more then he expected with only 10k view in 5 days, and probably made nothing from merch sales too if the link is already taken down.
I guess it wasn’t worth the effort from him so he resorted to copyright striking videos instead.

There's been more than 10 CCs I knows been copyright strike by randos, and there contents is just music reaction, trailer reaction and even gameplay (Topaz VA). So leaks is not the sole reason.
But of course, it easier to point finger at the larger corpo that can take the drama than unknown one guy on the internet.

i run a honkai star rail channel and when i got copyright struck it was by cognosphere and it doesnt seem to be here so this could be a false strike might wanna look into it

Yea dude, I got a copyright strike on my Pure Fiction guide with Acheron. After release too! And I have challenged it and they removed it straight away.. my claim was from Tomei Animation and later on it showed Cognosphere ptd.. was a very weird one. I think their A.I messed up

What's crazy is, I actually used to watch Rosscreations a long time ago. Haven't seen or heard anything from them in years though. I'm guessing their account got hacked or bought out or something maybe?

As far as I'm aware the creators that are in the hoyo creator program have now said that you can react and nothing will happen the only thing you have to do is just keep the watermark of the creators you react to this is a strike from someone else they don't have a right to strike you so you need to appeal it
The thing about Genshin impact is the great split between their happy "slice of life" content and such gritty, and dark characters like Arlachino. After a while I couldn't take the game seriously, anymore. The contrast is just too strong.
Copyright strike overhaul:
1. Freedom to freely copyright strike.
2. The user who's been copyright striked will be under review.
3. If the user is in the right, the striker will receive a money penalty based on how much money the video would be generated.
4. this way punishing fake strikers with possible 10k payment, yet allowing freedom to do it.

I got a strike specifically from "cognoverse" about a 15 second clip i edited with a joke about robins song "giving me brainrot" because its so catchy lol. I genuinely believe they gave that video a strike because they thought i was "trashing" the character (yes i know shes leaked so its my fault tbh) BUT there are hundreds if not thousands of clips of robin with almost half a million views that are completely un edited videos of her entire kit/song that are never taken down. I countered the strike under fair use and youtube removed the strike in less than 24 hours. WHAT WAS THE REASON MIHOYO HMMMM??

Counterclaim it, its a false claim. That or message the owner of the UA-cam channel that striked you. This happened to me where the owners channel got hacked and the hacker started striking channels left and right, I proceeded to message the user on instagram and such and they ended up resolving the issues but I also sent a counter claim just to be safe at the time and the strike was removed and I was fine.
This is just an unfortunate coincidence and not related to hoyo or the company at all.

I severely hope that if you do/did try and fight the claim that you use the address of a law firm you're associated with instead of your own. Apparently there are people that will use strikes to get personal info from creators and use that to dox or blackmail them.

Discussing leaks is absolutely not copyright infringement. Assuming that any visual images you display fall under fair use (generally speaking anything posted to twitter or facebook has an argument for fair use just in general, because of the TOS involved in those sites) which is easy when you're just displaying an image like this while reviewing it, there's no infringement. Copyright does not exist to protect a company from leaks or from sharing information they don't want you to. It is not copyright infringement to say that Darth Vader is Luke's father. Copyright infringement would be attempting to pass off Acheron as your creation, providing so much of the story/character gameplay of Acheron that it could reasonably be used in lieu of going to the real thing, or attempting to directly use her likeness for profit without adding anything meaningful or transformative (the last one is hard to summarize but it basically is the kind of copyright infringement most people think of). If YOU leak the information, you may be violating an NDA. If someone ELSE has leaked it, that information is now in the public domain. You, I, or anyone else can now talk about whatever has been leaked freely and openly forever. A recent example of this is the leaked emails in 2016 (and other years but this one was the most prominent). Accessing and then releasing the emails was violating privacy laws (and potentially some classified things) but once they were released anyone could read them or talk about them or share them. HSR leaks are the same. HYV can try to claim copyright infringement, but it ain't.
