Regarding the optics cut; I think these slides are from 2019/2020. Dan Wesson had many supplier issues with the smaller parts because of New Yorks ridiculous Covid rules. They wound up having to buy tooling to manufacture parts in house. It would have cost them a small fortune to ship all the slides back for additional machining. Once they use up all the original order of slides I’m sure they’ll add an optics system
I hope they do, that’s one of the biggest falls of it currently. I’d buy one tomorrow if it had optics cut
Tool is to take out the bull barrel i think
I took this apart to clean after the review is over and it wasn’t needed for takedown. It was a mix between a CZ75 and 1911. Remove the slide release pin and it came apart.

When I done mine was about 4 years ago, so a lot of stuff could have changed since then. My experience was flawless and they worked around my schedule

Dan Wesson will release an optic ready version soon, especially since USPSA is adopting a new division for SAO guns with optics.
Still shoots with no safety glasses. Sadly the day will come and you'll regret it.
